    Hi dc2nice,

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

Check whether the sound card is installed on your computer. Follow the steps below:

    a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button

    b. click on run

    c. type devmgmt.msc

    d. expand the section audio controllers, video and game to see the sound card you have installed.

If this article does not appear or is not sound card, your computer does not have a sound card, or the driver for the sound card has not been properly installed.

If you do not have a sound card, obtain and install one. Contact the manufacturer to check the hardware configuration of the computer and make sure that the sound card is installed.

If the sound card is already installed then update the sound card. You can check the link below: how to troubleshoot sound problems in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307918

  • How can I find my audio device in my computer to reinstall

    Remove audio or audio device

-Right click on my computer, choose Manage

-on the tree in the left pane, click Device Manager

-on the tree in the right pane, you can find the features found by windows

Check what is in the audio and game controllers, if you can see your sound card listed. Otherwise, there should be a yellow question mark on the tree of devices with a title "audio device unknown" or similar. Right-click on it and choose Update driver. Try to install it automatically first. If you are lucky windows will find the previous drivers for it and automatically reinstalls the device. Or if you have the driver for the audio device simply package reinstall from a file manager.

  • How can I check my audio device

Run my laptop jusst stop of the sounds I have windows xp and I did everything and it says to check my audio device

Type "Control Panel" in the Run dialog box and check your audio device.  If it says no audio device is installed, check if it is already installed.  You can do this through the control panel > administrative tools > computer management > Device Manager.  Check around here to see if your audio device is there.  If not, add it from the control panel.  It's 'Add Hardware' in Control Panel.  If it's there, uninstall and reinstall through Control Panel.

  • How can I change the audio device automatically between exits?

    Original title: Dual monitor mode

I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Media Center and my hardware is Inter Core 2 Quad with NVIDIA GEFORCE 9800GT and an integrated Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800 ATSC/QAM.

I have two DVI-HDMI, one output to my monitor 24 "HD and one for my 42 '' HDTV and computer speaker are connected to the SPEAKER OUT behind the computer.

The problem is when I look at Internet TV through my computer on my HDTV, I need everytimes switch my Default Sound Source of speakers to the HDMI OUTPUT in my-> hardware & sound control panel and market back when I want to use my computer.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hello, DuFF1

You can have only one default device.

It is not possible to put two devices by default, nor is it possible to configure the output in default Media Center device. You can try searching for additional Media Center change the audio device by default or continue editing the device default manually before watching TV on the Internet.

  • How can I reinstall a default audio sound on my dell?

My speakers do not work, so I looked in the device sounds and audio, audio and then its default playback device, but I have really nothing there. So I was wondering how can I reinstall one I had before. I can not find a disk or anything like that. Help, please

Go to the Dell Support site, choose drivers and downloads. When you are prompted, type the serial number of the machine number and find the Audio drivers which have been made available for the PC. Download and install.

As mentioned by others, if you can put the model number of the machine, then perhaps someone can direct you to the right download.

  • How can I reinstall the dolby home theater?

I had sound problems with my Aspire V3 (571 G). I heard a noise dry while listening to music and watching videos. It was really boring. I thought it was a problem with the Dolby Home Theater v4, so I went to the control panel > uninstall a program > cinema dolby Home > repair. It does not solve the problem, so I went to C:\ and copied the 'Dolby PCEE4' folder, then I uninstalled the thought of Dolby Home Theater v4 that I will reinstall it by putting the folder to the directory. While it has been uninstalled, I discovered that the problem was not the home Dolby cinema, instead, it was a kind of audio enhancement, so I disabled it by clicking on Audio > manage audio devices > Speakers > properties > improvements and I ticked the box: "turn off all sound effects. The sound is fine, it does not sound dry but now I can't reinstall Dolby Home Theater v4. I put the 'Dolby PCEE4' folder to the C:\ directory and it did not work. I opened the case and found a command called 'install' so I ran the command, but it created only 15000 + (3,79 GB) files in the folder and the home theater Dolby has not yet been installed. So I went to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and I entered my name of the model and the OS (Windows 8), but it wasn't a "Home Cinema Dolby' application or a driver available for download. How can I reinstall the Dolby Home Theater v4?

Think, it comes with the realtek drivers, cause after the failure of windows 8 and install the drivers for it on windows 7, it was the home theater dolby. And the realtek drivers
