  For this model of laptop, it is quite complicated because the STRANGE is from both sides.   To resolve this problem, you must turn off Simple file sharing and then take over the folder.

  It works on other OS? When did you finally read the disc and with what OS? If you can read the drive and make a backup of the data on this subject, I you suggest to backup the data on the drive and then put it in using the NTFS file system.

  Passwords are saved in the Keychain application located in your Utilities folder. You can search for passwords here. Normally when you change the password of an account, it needs to update this info in the keychain also unless you change other information like the name of the server.

  Quit Mail, find the passwords for the incoming server and outgoing for the account. Remove them in Keychain Access. Open Mail and provide the password when asked.
