This border on the desktop icons can be created when the elements of the Office was locked, to unlock the desktop items web right click on an empty area of your desktop. Now, select arrange icons by and uncheck "Web Lock Desktop items" if she has a little check mark next to it. If you did not have a tick here and then right click on your my computer icon and view its properties, now click on the Advanced tab click the button settings running. Now on the Visual Effects tab scroll effects to 'use the shadows of the desktop icon labels' and put a tick in the box next to it, and then click ok. This should remove the border from the shadow of your desktop icons.
Just like that.

When you install a program, you will need to select the installation option in particular only to user accounts. Not in user accounts. You can try the following steps.

Desktop shortcuts are stored in one of two places:
    (a) in c:\Users\Public\Desktop. These shortcuts are shared and are visible to the user ever.
    (b) in c:\Users\UserName\Desktop. These shortcuts are not shared and are visible to the user.

When you right click on a shortcut, and then click general, then you can see where this particular shortcut is stored.

To make a shortcut of the group a) visible to yourself, do this method:
    a. drag the shortcut to the side with the right button of the mouse.
    b. Select "copy". You have now two seemingly identical shortcuts.
    c. delete the original shortcut.

  • How can I remove for a standard user desktop icons

OK, so I read a lot but can't seem to find an answer.

What happens when I delete an icon it removes desktop admins too don't all tell you this:

"The items that appear on the desktop can be stored in 2 different places.

    1. the elements of the C:\Users\your utilisateur\Bureau folder appear on that users desktop.

    2. the items in the folder C:\Users\Public\Desktop will appear on all users desktop. »

and if it is in the public move to the admins so the standard can remove it, but I have no 'public' office in this area. And also when I go into the standard user's desktop folder there that google chrome, it shows not all others. So what I was I right click on the icons, I wanted to deleted off of the user's desktop standards and went to properties and saw that it was under "program files." Example, if my mom has an ipod and I don't, I'm perfectly happy with windows media player and I don't want the itunes icon there. Is it possible to remove the icon itunes the Office off a standard user without him deleting admins Office

It's really frustrating, and it's not just itunes I want to disable other programs there. I know that I can choose the option to not show the desktop icons, but I want some, but don't want any other.

How can I remove the homegroup icon that suddenly appeared on my desktop Windows 8

I know and respect the fact that Sharief K is a Microsoft Support Engineer. but he doesn't know what he's talking about as a Microsoft Support engineer or he didn't understand the question.

However, here's how to solve the problem in the right way...

Question about this community newsletter is:

(Windows 8) How can I remove the 'host group icon"from the desktop?

    Answer:

1 right-click somewhere on the desktop that is free of icon/s with the left button of the mouse.
Select "Customize" in the context menu, which will take you to the selection of window customize.

    2. Select "Change desktop icons" in the area of the hand at the top left of this window.  A "Change desktop icons" dialog (context menu) is displayed.

    3. Note the box on the left of the 'network' is checked.  Uncheck the box and then left click of the mouse will apply.

    4. at this point, the 'host group icon"will be removed from the desktop.  Now again check the box to the left of the 'Network' and then the mouse left click apply.

And your all set.  That is of course until what you restart your computer, in which case this problem will happen again.  Gives one does not want to restart its system ever if you have Windows 8.

On a more personal note, I am A +, Network +, MCP and a Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology and experienced Microsoft since 1992 when I always still served in the U.S. Army.  Sorry, but I am appalled and disgusted with the OS of Windows 8 not to mention Microsoft Office.

    Hello

    Try these:

UnLocker has been reported as having problems on Vista 64-bit.

DO NOT INSTALL the eBay Option with UnLocker (uncheck in Setup), then
go to the folder Program Files - UnLocker UnLocker and DELETE the file ebayxxx.exe
    -You can see it easily.

    "C:\Program Files\Unlocker"just the ebayxxxx.exe I forgot its name exactly. "

How can I remove the tones created in garageband that have been uninstalled? I also installed but I can't remove it either please help thanks

    Hello Michael,

    Welcome to Apple Support communities.

I see that you need assistance, removal of GarageBand ringtones that were uninstalled. I know it's nice to be able to properly manage your tones. I can help you with this.

Use the article for iOS (iPad) 2.0.x GarageBand: GarageBand share songs, more precisely, this section:

To remove the existing ringtones follow these steps:

    • Press to select, then press the button Delete for any ringtone you want to delete.

    • Drag a ringtone in the list, and then press delete.

    Have a great day!

  • How can I remove "the folder/Users/user/to/mygame doesn't exist." Terminal. Rises every time I launch Terminal.

How can I remove "the folder/Users/user/to/mygame doesn't exist." Terminal. Rises every time I launch Terminal. I am a novice. Thank you very much.

    1. Please select from the menu bar Terminal

    ▹ terminal preferences... ▹ Profiles ▹ Shell

If the run command box is checked, uncheck it or enter the command to run automatically (if any), each opening of a Terminal window. Note: this is not how you define a default shell.

    2. If step 1 does not resolve the problem, see below.

    Back up all data.

    Select

    New Shell command ▹

in the Terminal menu bar. Uncheck the box marked

Run the command inside a shell

    If it is enabled.

Copy and paste the following line into the text box that appears, and then press return:

    /bin/mkdir disabled_shell_files

Close the Terminal window that opens. Repeat with this line:

    /bin/mv .profile .bash_history .bash_profile .bashrc .inputrc disabled_shell_files

History Shell and former initialization files will be saved in a directory named "disabled_shell_files" at the top level of your home directory. It is normal that some of these files do not exist, and therefore, you will get error "no file".

Close the window and open a new test.

You may already know that files with name starting in '. ' are not visible in the Finder by default. So, if you open the folder that you created in the Finder, it will appear as empty, even if it is not. If you need to recover a portion of the data in the files of the shell, use a shell such as nano-based text editor (1). Make sure that you're not recreating the problem. Otherwise, you can delete the folder.
