How can I restart my computer?

last night I turned off the power my computer without closing correctly, today early upward, I received this error box instead of opening windows: error isass.exe - application (this is the title of the box) it is written in the box: failed to initialize correctly oxc0000005). I have tried hitting f8 before the start of the possible and tried: start in safe mode, start at last configuration known, reboot and other options he gave, nothing worked. What can I do to make it start again?

stolen75,
Thanks for posting in our forums.  Because the F8 boot options do not work for you then I suggest to boot from your XP CD in recovery console.  The recovery console, run the tool (sfc/scannow) System File Checker.  This article provides information on CFS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747
If you don't have an XP CD and have an OEM recovery disk, you will need to check with the options they provide (not all OEM disc offers the possibility to access the recovery console). Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

    Reformatting a hard drive should be considered a last resort to solve a problem with a computer system. The hard drive can be reformatted and reinstalled the operating system, using the system PC Suite hard disk recovery. Reformatting the hard drive will overwrite all data on the disk. To preserve the data, back up the data of the user as; letters, leaves of calculation, graphics and emails to an external storage device before you reformat the disk. If the PC does not work in the Windows operating system, see reformatting since the recovery disks .
    Do the following to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
    1. Connect the PC to the power adapter.
    2. Close all programs.
    3. Click Start , click principally made programs , select System Restore and click on the PC recovery .
    4. When the recovery options are offered, select the option to perform the Recovery of PC and click Next .

    The PC is in original factory State and all data in the system, such as the place and the date must be reconfigured.

    NOTE: any software "trial offer" has been included in the original factory image, it will be reinstalled, but it won't work (the test period will have expired).  If so any trial software is a security antivirus software or others, before connect you to the Internet, you must uninstall (using an uninstall tool provided by the manufacturer if available antivirus software) and then install your own anti-virus software.  So, you should download the uninstallers necessary and installers (or buy the software on CD) using another machine before starting this project.

    You want to do is put to how you bought it(out-of-the-box)

    You don't say if you have a Vista DVD or not.

    If you do, go to Setup/Bios boot/market by pressing F2 or DEL depending on your computer and set the DVD to be 1st in the boot order, restart with DVD in this disc, load files, delete the existing Vista partition, create the new partition, formatt, install, etc..

    If Recovery DVD a manufacturer supplied with the computer, follow the instructions to restart via the same method of boot above order.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the computer manufacturer did not include Vista drive/s, there should be a recovery hard disk Partition.
    It's the way they do now, most of the time. We are supposed to do the recovery disks it ourselves, with the instructions included in the software of the manufacturer installed in the start menu > all programs.
    At the bottom of the splash Screen at startup/power on, there is usually a number key, F10 or F11, hit to start the recovery process, in order to resume the factory (out of the box) standards.
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Each manufacturer has their own way of doing a recovery to factory standards.
    Read the manual that came with your computer, consult their Web site on how - to - recovery or email/phone for instructions.
    And save all of your data before you do, as a resettlement wipe everything from your hard drive...
    If you mean the Spooler Service, go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and scroll to spooler and make sure that it is set to automatic (put it in auto mode if it is not) and make sure that it is started.  If it is running, stop it and then restart it again.  If it is stopped, start it just.
