How can I restore my bookmarks properties?
A few days ago I installed XMarks extension for Firefox and Chrome to synchronize my favorites between the two browsers. I just noticed that all of my Firefox boomarks properties have been removed (I used the properties of bookmarks to save the password data occasionally) and I wonder if there is a way to restore the properties of bookmarks - maybe do a system restore to a prior checkpoint?
Restore a backup of bookmark to before you install Xmarks.

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be useful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To retrieve them, follow the instructions below.
- Use one of the following methods to open the bookmarks library window:
- Firefox 29 and above: Click the Bookmarks button
then select show all bookmarks.
- Previous versions of Firefox: Click the Firefox button and click on bookmarks. (If you do not have a Firefox button, click on the Bookmarks button
or the menu of bookmarks and select show all bookmarks.)
- Firefox 29 and above: Click the Bookmarks button
- At the top of the library window, click on import and backup , and then select restore.
- Click on the date of the backup of bookmarks you want to recover.
- In the new window that appears, click OK.
- Your bookmarks in the selected date should now be restored.

How can I restore my bookmarks from an HTML file?
I just installed Ubuntu 11.04, and I want to restore my bookmarks from an HTML file.
This used to be accessible through the "bookmarks - > organize bookmarks ' menu item 'Organize bookmarks' no longer exists so I'm stuck.
This help system seems to think that there is, however, so please note that on my system, it isn't. I suspect that hundreds, thousands or even millions of new users of Ubuntu 11.04 will have exactly the same problem.
I don't think that users will be able to help with this one, unless someone knows how to restore the menu item 'Organize Favorites '. It is the only one that will do what I want and so there is no point recommending "Show all bookmarks" as a solution. It does not work.
Finally, persuade this system that I don't really have a new problem that are not addressed in the FAQ section has been a very irritating experience. I wonder if Chrome will know what to do with my file "bookmarks.html"?
"Bookmarks > organize bookmarks ' has been renamed to"show all bookmarks"in Firefox 4.
If the menu bar is hidden, and then click the Firefox button to open the Firefox menu and click the bookmarks entry or click "Show all bookmarks" to open the library.

My bookmarks bar is empty. How can I restore my bookmarks and toolbar?
For some reason all my favorites have disappeared. Can you help me get back them?
Thanks anyway but I found what I wanted in - "bookmarks" in the FireFox menu at the top of the page - then come on in - "show all bookmarks", then "import and backup" on the new page, click "restore." I simply chose the date of the day, and bookmarks were back. Its actually pretty simple once figure you it out. To bad I could not find these directions in help. I hope that this message will help someone else in the future.

How can I restore my default browser
I have problems with my email Go Daddy account. Go daddy said that I need to restore my default browser. I already deleted my history, cookies and cache settings. How can I restore firefox default.
I'll answer that in a few minutes, but first of all, what is the problem you are having with the account?
What the function of Firefox Reset done that create a folder of fresh settings, carrying over your bookmarks, saved passwords and some other information but shedding some of your add-ons (extensions and themes) and custom settings. It's quick and easy, but in some cases, you can lose information, such as groups of tabs, it's important to you. This article contains more information: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.
To see if a reset is likely to help until you do, you could test email from GoDaddy in a totally blank Firefox profile. A new profile inherits the plugins already installed on your system, such as Flash, but otherwise, will look like a new installation. If this does not resolve the problem of GoDaddy, then it is useless to do a reset.
If you want to try this, close Firefox and starts in the Profile Manager, as described in this article: use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox. Any time want spending profiles, close Firefox and come back to this dialog box. I recommend that you use the suggested default location, do not delete anything without first making backups.
The site works as expected in the new profile?
