How can I restore my laptop to a date earlier

I need to restore my computer but nothing that will allow me to do at the time, I want to go back to all help will be gret

Assuming you have looked into the system restore and used the option to show more restore dates, if the desired restore date is not in the list of available dates of restoration, it is impossible to restore it as far behind.  System restore points are deleted to free up space on your hard drive for other restore points.

  • How can I restore my laptop, if something is wrong?

    I just got a new ThinkPad X 230, but I do not buy himself, my sister has for me. Now what's disturbing to me is that she gave me something other than the charger and the laptop itself. And my sister lives in the United States (she got the laptop computer of U.S. only).

    I intend double Windows 8 start with ubuntu 12.04, just in case something goes wrong and I mess up the whole system, by removing / corruption of Windows 8, what should I do then? Can I take the laptop to the Lenovo service center and retrieve the Windows 8? Or, is there an option to induce the copy of the drivers and Windows 8 directly from their service center?

    Hello and welcome,

    You can make your own recovery media - in the case of Windows 8, it's a USB flash drive - or you can order a support medium.

    Make your own: methodology to create a recovery media and recharge a system with Microsoft Windows 8 Lenovo preloads

    It is also possible to do full backups to a USB HDD, using the tools of "File Windows 7 recovery" strangely named.

  • How can I restore my laptop Windows Vista to allow me to move my photos...

    My neighbour who took the week last to mess with my Windows Vista laptop and did a disc defrag with a bunch of other things that I don't have any

    idea of what it does? She stole the handle when I asked politely to restore my pc, so there is no way of knowing me now what she did :(  Thank God, thanks to your site I was able to restore my icons and can now see my photos instead of empty folders! My question is now,

    When I download pictures, a window opens which used to give me an option (Edit) move my photos that I download the folder of my choice. I don't have this option on this window. All it shows is "Organize", "Views", "Slideshow" and "Burn". Any chance to get this window with the option to move my photos into different folders? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello

    See if that helps you.

    Do a system restore, if necessary using the safe, before your neighbor has changed anything.

    Read the general reinstall info below:

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • How can I restore my factory settings.i deleted my recovery files
    "How can I restore my laptop compaq presario cq57 windows computer factory settings 7", I deleted my recovery files.
    Hello
    If you have deleted the recovery Partition, you will not be able to create your own set of recovery disks, then you will need to order a replacement, set as described in my previous post.
    If you use these replacement disks to reinstall the operating system, they will also recreate the hard disk recovery Partition - this will allow to use the 'method f11' reinstall Windows if you wish.
  • If I accicentally delete a tab, how can I restore it?
    If I accidentally delete a tab, how can I restore it?
    I'm not sure what you mean by delete, but I'll mention a few things to get started:
    (1) If you accidentally closed a tab, but there is another tab open in the same window:
    • Make a right click No matter what tab > undo close tab
      • CTRL + SHIFT + t did the same thing
    • Use the menu list in the history of recently closed tabs to re - open the tab
    (2) If you accidentally close a tab, and that the entire window:
    • If you had another open window (Firefox did not close): allows you to re - open the window menu in the history of windows list recently closed
    • If Firefox shuts down: after starting Firefox, check the list of the menu in the history of recently closed windows. If none is listed, try to 'Restore previous Session' on the history menu and then check again.
    Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.
    See "create a profile":
    If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.
