How can I set a password so that no one can access my emails frm another computer when you log in to my account? How will I know if I have a newspaper overall upward?

I have an employee who has left and I want to make sure that they are unable to access this email account. I don't know if there is a password on this account or a log in. How I change to make sure that they are unable to access this email?
That's Thunderbird.

Thank you

You must go to the email address provider and change his password. They will probably have a Web page where you can do. To change the password or close the account, you will need to know the old (current) password, or demonstrate in some way, you are its rightful owner.
