Power policy Manager unable to set global policy - error message

As my laptop into hibernation after 30 minutes without assistance I would adjust the power settings. However, I get a message saying 'Power political Mananger cannot set global politics' - access denied. Any ideas how to overcome this?

Hi it found on a forum it will be useful

I had a situation on the machine where the administrator could not change
display settings, for example, monitor the shutter delay. After doing
all changes and trying to save a ' Power Policy Manager unable to. "
define a global strategy' message box reported 'access denied '.

I finally solved this problem by exporting
EntVersion entVersion
\ControlsFolder\PowerCfg\GlobalPowerPolicy
a working and important machine in the machine problem.

If it does not log the computer using an account with administrator privileges, or make a new user and give them administrative privileges and try again with the new user account

  • Receive error messages when trying to install McAfee and it said their support that the question is related to the error in Device Manager.

Are you sure you don't have another Antivirus always installed; even an expired subscription?

A lot of AVs will not install if they find one already installed (and you must have an AV installed in any case).

Another problem may be how you try to install it:

You need to download and save on the desktop > then right click on the saved files > select run as administrator.

FYI: Here's how to look in the Device Manager:

    Hello world

I have recently given in image module power light (6.0.0) on a Cisco ASA 5512-x and I have this error on the section of access control policy:

Whence this reference to politics? I have not deleted something, this is a new installation.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

The error indicates that it might be a bad installation where there was a problem when restarting,

You can try to import any other ASDM access control strategy and see if it works.

If the problem persists, you will need to follow the steps below:

    1) uninstall the SFR
    sw-module module sfr uninstall

    2) wr mem
    3) Reload ASA ( in Maintenance window)
    4) load the boot image (6.0.0.1055)
    5) Load the package file
Check the ASDM again and see if the policy apply works.
