I just got a huawei Orange, which I connected to my fairly new laptop - my PC is about 7 years old, how can I check it I can get wifi on my PC - it's a Windows XP 32?

WiFi requires a particular piece of hardware (wireless network adapter).  Assuming that you no longer have the documentation that came with your PC for 7 years, the first thing to do is to open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK), click on the + sign to the left of "Network adapters" and to see what devices are listed.
