How can I stop my email opening automatically?
Original title: emails.
How can I stop my email opening automatically? When I connect my emails one opens automatically and when I remove it, the following opens.
You can use other programs to get your email Yahoo and MSN, but quite honestly I wouldn't worry. Don "t let open email" is more a matter of concern. After the old Outlook Express spread of virus security, emails are no longer allowed to run the code on modern computers. It is normal to see an e-mail, even if it has a virus, you can't be touched. Just do not open suspicious e-mail attachments.

How can I stop Windows XP open My Documents on startuo?
Hello
I just reinstalled Windows XP Pro and after installation of SP2 evert time I start Windows automatically open My Documents.
How can I stop this?
Thank you.
You have a false entry in one of your startup locations.
First, click Start > all programs > startup and see if there is an entry that would open up My Documents.
If you can't find the entry in the startup folder, download and run Autoruns. Let it complete the scan (shown bottom left), then click the 'connection '. Look at the entries and the beginning my Documents should be obvious. Remove the line or uncheck the box at the beginning of the line (if you think you might ever want to reactivate this entry).

How can I stop Windows 7 open several instances of a .txt file in Notepad?
If accidentally, I try to open a second instance of a .txt file in Notepad, I want Windows 7 to remember that another instance is already open.It was, in Windows XP, whenever you tried to accidentally open a second instance of a .txt file in Notepad, you would get a message that will tell you that another instance was already open. However, it seems that in Windows 7, you can have multiple instances of the same .txt file open in Notepad (without getting any notification). It is confusing because I tend to make changes to one of these instances given, and when I save one of these cases, I eventually overwrite the changes on other instances.
How can I stop this from happening? I can't turn on a pop-up message in Windows 7 that reminds me that another instance is open? Can I change a setting in my Notepad file to prohibit the opening of multiple instances?Hello
Opening of multiple instances of the same file in Notepad is by design.Give us your comments for Windows 7

How can I stop Firefox from loading automatically when I start my computer?
Some time ago I set up Windows for Outlook and Firefox open automatically when I connect. Now, I want to stop FF to open automatically. I went in the startup folder and deleted the shortcut to FF several times but he returns. I changed the name of Mozilla Firefox in Windows programs to xxMozilla Firefox directory and has no stop from loading. If necessary, I'll take off my computer completely FF, but I prefer not to do that.
Hi burtw,
This isn't really a Firefox problem per say, but more a question of Windows. You'll probably look at the research in places like:

How can I stop firefox from opening a tab in Tools/Options
Firefox 38.0.1
Suddenly instead of an open box now I have an open tab when I go in Tools/Options - how can I recover the box and the aperture stop tab, I'd rather be able to see my tab running below the box in Tools/Options, and now I can't. This makes things very difficult.
Hi, FredMcD advice is what you need: you can return to the old window Options by: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.preferences.inContent and double-click on it to change the "value" from true to False, taking care to not to change what anyone else. You will then need to restart Firefox.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
