How can I tell Firefox OS to save my browser session?

While I solve my problems of inadequacy E-mail SSL domain, I check email in the browser of my flame. The browser seems unfortunately never recording sessions or passwords. It is very convenient, but I would like to have the browser save the password or the session for this particular URL.

I think not all the parameters that will allow me to manage it.

I hate the resolved caller when the answer is "no" but I guess that's the answer.

  • How can I tell Firefox to "pin" a tile for the site displayed on the new tab page?

I can remove the "little used" sites the new tab Page, but can't run Firefox to add or "pin" a tile for a site that is frequently used on the Page tab. How can I tell Firefox that a site should be "pinned" on the page tab?

Hi Csbhkvp1, the only way I know about pin of the slab which is not already on the page (sometimes if you zoom using Ctrl-to see all 15 tiles you could spot it) must first of all to bookmark the site you want to pin as a tile, then add the bookmark to the page. Please see this article for more information on this method: customize the page new tab (section "Add a tile from your bookmarks").

How can I make Firefox 7 show the leading spaces?

You must add the CSS code to restore the indentation used in the previous version of Firefox.

Firefox 4 and then treat the DT element differently and that causes a weird CSS rule (dl > dl) not applied.

Use it in Firefox 4 and later versions:

    </style>
  • How can you tell Lightroom where to save images?

Sometimes it seems that Lightroom has an own mind when it comes to saving. More precisely: on a Mac, when I decide to click on a selected image is displayed in library view I choose export > full size JPEG he continues to save the image in a folder, it remembers former stops without asking me where I want that image to export.

How can I get control on Lightroom and export images using the method of control and the direct files to folders where I want the saved images?

    Thank you

    Ken

Unfortunately, if you want to export files in different places whenever you need to use the command export to open the window that I show above.

In an ideal world that LR would have a stop option in presets that interrupted the process, we helped define the location, then proceeds to processes based on various parameters of resolution, file type, etc. Some of the third-party export plug-ins may have this setup already, but I have not tend to use them, so can't really say.

  • How can I tell Firefox to clear the list of files uploaded to the exit?

When I was using Firefox 3.x, I configured it to clear the list of files uploaded to the exit. Now, I 'upgraded' to Firefox 7.0.1 and it ceased to do so. Not only that, he doesn't seem to be a way to get this feature. Y at - it a setting that I missed, or have the Firefox devs decided that users don't need / envy to have Firefox do this more?

You should always be able to clear only the download history when you close Firefox.

  • How can I stop Firefox from closing of tabs or sessions automatically?

If I have one session open Firefox invites you to recover the previous session but with 2 windows, which sometimes happens with some tabs from infinity that I don't care, the last window is saved (the one with 5 tabs instead of one with 165 tabs) and I lose my entire browsing history. This question actually forced me to swap browsers repeatedly by pure frustration about the loss of research. I use TooManyTabs to save some but it becomes so tedious to manage in this elsewhere, even with tab groups, my navigation is non-linear and does not always follow a set of rules, you can group easily to do its usually the pages more valuable I lose links to. He must really be a solution for this.

Good to hear you get this window.

I do not envy the UI designers, trying to make things more and more visible with less space. And when they create Adaptive UIS that seems to read your mind, it's scary.

It might be a good idea after the restoration of a session the first time to open a help page explaining how to use the history menu to restore more windows and tabs. The problem with single pages is that no one seems to remember them when they need it. Sigh.

  • How can I stop firefox trying to restore my previous sessions

Since I updated to firefox 20.0 I had a problem with firefox. Whenever I start firefox I get a message saying that it is so embarrassing to try but not to restore my previous session and it gives me the opportunity to be close the page and go to the home screen, or to restore my previous session. My preferences has the show my home page selected, every time I close Firefox, I close the page by pressing the red x, and then I put the firefox icon or the tab of firefox at the top of my screen and select Exit. I have reset firefox twice and that no longer works.

A possible cause can be that you first close all Firefox Windows and then close the Firefox application.

Some noted that closing of Firefox (Firefox > Quit) while the browser window is always open works for them.

  • How can I tell what drive installed on firefox?

I use a fairly small SSD as my drive "C:". It contains the Windows files and it is, but I don't want to install all my programs on this drive. That's what concerns the second disc of 1Terabyte.

During the installation, how can I tell Firefox to install on the second hard drive?

Yes, you can select custom during installation Setup. But the vast majority of Firefox (wise disk space) will be the user / "roaming" area folderset on the same drive that the operating system is installed on – C: / drive. This is the default zone for the Firefox profile.

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/profiles-where-Firefox-stores-user-data

After installation, you can create a new profile on a different drive for your data Firefox and customizations.

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/Profile-Manager-create-and-remove-Firefox-profiles

Before using chose the file to a custom location, you must create the folder and select this specific folder when you create the new profile. If you don't accidentally use the root folder, you risk losing everything on this disc, you will need to use an empty folder when you specify where you want the new profile.

And once you create the profile, in the custom location, do not "clean" what remains on the c: / drive from the original installation. You will need the file profiles.ini so that Firefox knows where your profile 'in service' folder

  • How can I close Firefox (closed) if properly run two windows with multiple tabs in each and I want to save them all?

How can I close Firefox (closed) if properly run two windows with multiple tabs in each and I want to save them all? I tried to close each window by clicking the X in the top right, and then restart Firefox only loads the last closed window. Is it possible to close Firefox so it restarts with both windows?

Hi osenochen, some additions to the first response:

    • You can display the classic menu temporarily bar by pressing Alt or F10 to access the file menu
    • There is also an icon of 'power' at the bottom of the graphic application menu (the one which is displayed by the button "3-bar" menu) If you prefer
    • If you closed a window and you want to re - open, go to the history menu and see a list of recently closed windows (by default, up to 3 windows closed are stored and can be re-opened - not applicable to windows private)
