  • How can I fix the Windows Update Ox80072EE2 error code?

original title: How can I fix error code Ox80072EE2?

Get the Ox80072EE2 error. Chose the express download then Windows Update checked for the latest updates, but the update did not follow and gave the error code Ox80072EE2. Tried several times. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3. Downloaded FixIt, but did not fix. Last successful update was 12/14/11. How can I fix this error code? Thanks a bunch for all help!

If Windows Update error 80072ee2 during updates, you may need to add the addresses of websites which Windows Update downloads updates to the exceptions to your firewall or 'green list '.

To add the Windows Update Web sites to a firewall exceptions list

    • Windows Firewall ships with this version of Windows and should already include these sites in the exceptions list. If you are using another firewall, see Help for the software publisher to see how to add these websites to your firewall exceptions list:

  • How can I activate the Windows Update Service?

I had to restore my kids PC. Windows Update gives me a message that it is not running and I need to restart the PC. I've done several times, and Windows update still does not work. I passed through TaskManager, Services and found Windows Update and tried rebooting from here. It still does not. How can I get the update of Windows running service?

    Hello

    (a) the first thing to do is to stop the Windows Update service on your Windows 7 computer. You can do this by going to start and typing in services.msc in the search box.

    (b) then press enter and the Windows Services dialog box appears. Now scroll down until you see the Windows Update service, right-click on it and choose stop.

    (c) now that the Windows Update service has been disabled, you must go to the following folder and delete all files and folders inside:

    C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\

    (d) once you have deleted everything, go back to the Services dialog box, right-click on the Windows Update service and click Start.
