How can I transfer profiles of ti XP Windows version 8.1
I'm trying to transfer my Firefox profile on my Windows XP computer to a new computer Windows 8.1. I went through the procedure on your support page to create a new profile and save it on a USB key. The saved file has been "times.json". I tried to copy and paste this in Firefox on Windows 8.1 machine with no luck. Any suggestions?
Hi there, I can't say that I know well the article you're talking about. However if you have both Firefox browsers up-to-date, then you're in luck. Mozilla is working on making it easy for users to get the same experience on all the computers you use. The way I'm going to say, you're going to take care of things like, tabs, bookmarks, passwords, history, modules, and preferences. I'm not personally in a way to move more. If that's what you are looking for we will need someone else. Now for all I know. First of all, make sure that Firefox is updated. This version on Vista and Windows 7 is very different, v28 and more. Then the icon at the top right with three horizontal lines is the replacement for the Firefox button. Click on this symbol. On the menu drop down, there will be an icon of synchronization. Click on that. Then, you will need to create an account. I hope it works for you. Sorry if this isn't what you're looking for.

How can I transfer PS CS5 on a Windows computer to a mac?
I just came from Windows to Mac. How can I transfer PS CS5 and Lightroom for the Mac again?
You can not. At the time, the serial numbers have been Mac or Windows specific, but not both.
Your options: cross upgrade to Photoshop CS6 for Mac, the latest version permanent and an Adobe ceased to be updated when Photoshop CC came out.
The Plan of photography: the last Photoshop and Lightroom for $10 each month, you have the choice of Mac or PC on any computer that you install on and you get the latest advances.

my mother has two computers that are running windows 7 and she wants to give me one of them, but it first wants to transfer or share all his stuff from one to the other. We network cables and such can I connect the on computers and share information from one to the other?
Hello
To connect two computers with a cable, not a router, it must be a crossover cable.
These are special cables, but they are not expensive.(You can configure a network or a host group (see below))
Connect two computers using a crossover cable (XP - Windows 7 may be the same)

How can I transfer outlook express files from windows XP to windows 7 on my new laptop?
I was able to transfer my address book, but unable to transfer my e-mail files express outlook my desktop (Windows XP) to my laptop (windows7). I used an easy transfer cable, but have all the files I wanted.
The transfer is easy, but you fail to mention what e-mail program you use. Windows 7 does not have a mail client included as OE in XP.If you use Windows Live Mail, so I'd say do this way.Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:For Messages:Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.Location of OE message store:In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View. For addresses:Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import. For the account settings:In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.WLMail specific help, please use this forum.Windows Live Mail Forum

How can I transfer the Firefox profile from one user to another on my pc (win XP)
At work, I use Firefox as my default browser.
In my business, the COMPUTER administrator installed new system s/w on the companys main server and changed user names.
So now firefox lost information (profile) I already had on my pc.
Now in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\", I have 2 users.
The one with the old username and the other with the new user name
Also I can not any connection any longer in my pc with the old username because the administrator has also changed the domain name.
How can I transfer the profile that I had (with a lot of useful bookmarks etc.) of the former user name for the new user name?
Thank you in advance!

How can I transfer my old data of Firefox on my new Firefox in my new computer?
My old computer died and I just took my other. After the data has been transferred to my new, I noticed that Firefox was missing. I downloaded it on the net. "I have a file called ' old data Firefox" which was created when I had problems before. How can I transfer to the new Firefox?
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
See:
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
When you refresh/reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, data form) are automatically imported.
The current profile folder will be moved to "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop.
Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made are lost and must be redone. It is possible to retrieve data from the "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

How can you transfer favorites among users. My original user no longer works?
How can you transfer favorites among users. My original user no longer works?
I had to create another profile.Firefox made regular bookmark backups, so that you can restore the backup from your old profile to the new. Although, I suppose that the user is unable to connect, you always have access to its files.
First of all, make sure that Windows allows you to see the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps if necessary: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
Then, down the old profile and copy out a few last backups to a more convenient location. You'll look here:
C:\Users\oldusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\semi-random-name\bookmarkbackups
File names include a data and County bookmark as well as random characters. I suggest you copy the last two at your new desktop or documents folder.
In Firefox, you can restore the backup file by following the steps in this article: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer. Use the option "Choose file" to find backups in your office or documents, as appropriate.
Note: You could bookmark that something already in Firefox, but those that are not merged, they are replaced, so if they are essential, you can export your current bookmarks to HTML format, which can be imported from non-destructively after restoring. See:
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file for backup or transfer bookmarks
- Importing bookmarks from an HTML file
Success?
And if it is interesting to find other old data: recovery of data from an old profile

Hello! I changed my computer. How can I transfer my Photoshop CS4 (I bought in 2010) to the new computer please? Sorry for my English. I have a number of error message 6. I guess that something with the license? But I bought it in 2010. On my profile on adobe.com account, I see this old order, but I don't know how to install it on the new computer? Help, please. Thank you!
If you install on a single computer, you can go ahead and install it on the new given that you are allowed to have installed on two computers.
If you have already installed on two computers you must disable it in the old program first, and then you can install it in the new computer.
If you have installed on two computers and cannot turn off (bad disk hard e.g.), you can contact Adobe and let them turn off all your computers, then you can install it on the new computer.
