  We also had same requirement where we need to show an Indian local language (Hindi, Bengali and many others).

  We had put in place after the approach and it might be useful for you.

  1.-first, we changed the encoding value in jdeveloper.
  go to jdeveloper--> tools--->--> coding preference, select UTF8

  2. we used to get the properties and it is translated and then business value, we have been manually these pair in the package on the resources.

  You can try to recover the data with data recovery software. If this does not work, the only other option is to send the drive to a professional data, which is quite expensive recovery company. Only you can decide how your "valuable personal data" are interesting. And it's one of the reasons why we do not use USB thumb as succession only permanent drives.

  What I ended up doing was doing a Subvi to open, read, write, and close each data type, I use the packaged in 4 polymorphic SubVIs (polymorphic Open, read, etc...)

  DM (Message Delivery) file types are not Windows files, they can be generated by a third-party program.

  This particular file type is often associated with audio data and can be hosted on some cell phones to be used as ringtones or multimedia clips. To my knowledge, these files can be generated by your mobile phone.

  Note: you can go ahead and remove these files only if you notice that the files do not contain any important information.

  If this happens without connect you all devices (like mobile PHONES), this may be a virus or malware activity. You can run a virus scan to get rid of them
