How can scan high resolution hp6510

Hello

I'm trying to analyze a small image in a decent resolution, but the analysis is for the entire page.

Once I have a crop the image, the quality is very low.

Is it possible to scan a certain area and set of pixels resolution?

Thank you

JAMM, what I recommend is to copy the image to the printer, and in the menu copy, there is the option to resize the image under settings. Once the image is resized, you can then scan the image on your computer as a full page.

Let me know how it works!

I think there is a setting for the Windows operating system that needs to be adjusted. I know because I had this same problem once before.

I found the solution to my problem. but my computer crashed and I had to reinstall the full Windows operating system. I lost the changes I had made. It was in January 2011.

I don't remember when I had the answer to my problem but I thought that I asked the question in the HP forum (it would have been some time in late 2010) and then someone answered with the solution to my problem. But I can't find the post I did then.

    Hello JimTrail

After watching this on the web, it seems that you is maybe to something. From what I found, GIMP uses a lot of resources, especially true for larger images. He isn't able to handle the scanning of an image as large as 4800dpi without additional RAM or virtual memory to compensate for the RAM.

My suggestion would be to increase the size to the recommended or higher. Out of curiosity how much physical RAM have you? Microsoft recommends that virtual memory for no more than 3 times the amount of RAM installed. See article: change the size of virtual memory.

    Yes, with reservations.

PSD and Illustrator smart objects are also a new made and scaling smoothly to the requested resolution.

Other dynamic objects (including those with filters) are only intensified since the resolution they are running in the Photoshop file. If you want to perform a new rendering, you can paste 100% resolution in a linked smart object and get the scaling smoothly.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: Lost the ability to scan high resolution on 8610

I was able to scan up to 2400 dpi with my scanner until yesterday, when I upgraded my cable modem.

The printer must be reinstalled to connect to my home network, and when I started a few scans this morning, the highest available dpi is 300.

What happened here?  Is there a possibility to acquire the old scanner software that I've used since the beginning?  I do a lot of scanning of the family vintage photo and aid resolution more largely in their cleaning.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd love to help you @unipenguin!

I see from your description that you could sweep with up to 2400 dpi with your scanner until you have had your modem cable replaced. I understand that you need to reinstall your printer for it to connect again. I know this may sound outrageous, but you may be the source of software updates to ADF? When the charger is selected, the max dpi will be 300, so my thought process.

If changing the source flat solves the problem, please click Accept as Solution button below. However, if you need more assistance let me know and I will do everything I can to help.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

    Driver version: 8.17.12.9555

I try to have 2560 x 1440 graphics to broadcast on my external monitor via HDMI

When I try to create a resolution in the graphical control panel, one of the following three things happens.

    1. I get a message saying that the resolution that I am creating is not possible

    2. I create custom resolution, but when I try to address in the menu screen resolution Windows tells me that it can not broadcast the resolution.

    3. the dissemination of the resolution, but it is of terrible quality and looks like it is vibrating.

    * Note: I got this configuration before, but I had to reinstall Windows recently, decommissioning of Windows 8 for Windows 7, and now I can't make it work, then maybe this community could help.

I solved the problem, I used an old driver, CTV - RB and refresh rate of 50 Hz. It was a long and painful process, but I have my old resolution back, and you can also!

  • Cannot export in high-resolution

    Hello world

When I went on vacation, I imported a catalog of my main computer in order to complete the work on it on my laptop.  I'm done, then don't export the finished photos to prepare the products of my client, but none of them has exported more than 1.5 MB.  This isn't a problem with the export Panel - all parameters are as the same as what I generally use for exports of hig-res.  I think it's a question that stems to import... maybe I just imported and worked with insights?  I don't know how to fix it.  Anyone know how to export high resolution without completely redo the photos on my computer at home?  1 MB won't work for the size I want to print.

    Thank you for your help.

    radleysboo wrote:

Add original files to the portable computer would fix this issue?

Yes. Lightroom exports smart overview when the original file is not available (and smart preview is).

If you want protection, there are a few plugins that you might enjoy:

1 exporting (has a one-tick flag-info previews and smart gift option and management at time of export options). free, by me.

Plugin to support 2. Jeffrey Friedl overview smart export - you set the criteria in advance, handling so less (or not) prompting the export.

  • How can I get my scanner to scan files in format PDF version 1.4 or higher? They all scan in 1.3

    Hello

Thanks for your help with this issue.

I am scanning documents as PDF files and they are all scanned in version 1.3. What determines the version of the PDF? How can I get to analyze in the version 1.4 or higher? I have the latest Adobe Reader and my scanner is to update its drivers. The application that I am downloading the PDF file for does not accept version 1.3. I could convert all, but that creates another step and needs of my office to the analysis in the latest version and they will not all be updated each PDF. How can I update to get it to default to the latest version?

Please help with this problem, I need in the older version to complete the necessary work of my with my business.

Commercial scanner first - you'll want to speak with the vendor who provides the service.

Individual scanners to local machines - Franklin; same provider but different models or different suppliers - either would mean resolution individual, piecemeal.

If they're "desktop" then someone ' one - somewhere should have custody of the CD / DVD that came with the devices (.. .they are "assets of the company, no?).

  • 8610 HP printer all in one: how to scan with very high resolution 1000 dpi?

I'm scanning pictures very old, very low (about 1 by 1"). On my 8610, the highest resolution I can apparently is 300 dpi. On my 6600 previous, I was able to get 1000 dpi? Is the 8610 really not able to scan at such a high resolution?

    Hello

The printer supports up to 2 400 ppp, but only from the glass flat, while the automatic Deeder top of Document (CAD) is limited to 300 dpi.

Open the HP Officejet Pro 8610 software and tap on scan a Document or Photo.

Change the source of the default 'ADF' value to 'flat glass', then analysis higher resolutions will become accessible to the general public within the drop-down list resolution .

    Hello

You can change the resolution using the application from HP as follows:

In the launch windows, select the required resolution.

Close the preferences window and perform analysis.

  • How can I increase the resolution of a scanned image. It's about 200 dpi and I want about 600.

I have a Hp Officejet J4680 all-in-one printer/scanner. When I scan in an image and save it as a jpeg, the resulting image is about 200 dpi. I need a higher resolution. The data sheet says 1200 dpi is available, but I do not see how to choose the size of resolution. Thank you!

    Let's try this

    Open HP Solution Center.

Click "scan picture". A new window will open.

In the left part of the window, under shortcuts scan select "scan picture".

On the right, select image under the type of analysis.

Below this "Advanced picture settings' tab is present. Click on it. A new window will open.

The resolution is given here. Click on drop down menu, then select your desired resolution. After you only click 'OK '. Click on scan.

    I hope it works!
