How changel initial value to a global setting

Hi all

Thanks for your time in advance.

I've changed the initial value of the global setting from 0 to 4, and then saved the VI. However, whenever I have opened the file in VI, the initial value is returned to zero. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Before saving, try selecting "change-> use current default values.

  • How to set the initial value of the same value as the Page loading of SelectOneMenu

    Hello

    I call the method to load the values into selectonemenu in the constructor of my bean.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Yes, you will need to find a way to set the value before the creation of the part of the view. Generally, there are two ways. There are at least two ways, I tend to use:

    (1) loading deferred; you would get a Get accessor like this method:

    public String getValue(){
      if(value == null){
        // code here to get value from wherever
      }

      return value;
    }

    (2) initialize properties in a method annotated with @PostConstruct in your backing bean

    @PostConstruct
    public void initialize(){
      value = whatever;
    }

    Hope that helps you. If this isn't the case, so I totally misunderstood you and you try to explain more clearly what your problem is.

  • How to go from sysdate as the initial value for reports?

In forms, I don't have to create a trigger to do this, simply put sysdate on the initial value of the item property. I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks again.

    This from Reports FAQ
    How to set the initial values of the parameters to the form of the parameter at run time? +

    This is what is mainly used for BeforeForm relaxation. Even if you used a select statement to create a search list for the parameter, this statement is completely parsed before the form parameter is opened. Simply assign the parameter to a value in the trigger BeforeForm will choose this option as a default value displayed to the user. For example, suppose you have a parameter called p_input_date that is intended to contain a date of the invoice. The following example will select the date of the most recent invoice being the default and notes that it correctly handle exceptions to ensure that the report does not arbitrarily die if this default setting fails. Also note that, as all the triggers of report, it should return a true or false value.

    function BeforePForm return boolean is
    begin
    select max(bill_period_end_date + 1)
      into :p_input_date
      from billing_period
     where bill_period_end_date <= (select trunc(sysdate)
                                      from dual);
      return (TRUE);
    exception
      when others then
         :p_input_date := null;
         return true;
    end;

  • Set initial value as the number of sequence/date/from the user

    Hi guys, I created a datablock and set up the user interface to allow users to insert all the data they need, however my table has a:

    ID - which is uniqe with each entry of the table is then gernerate by a sequence (that I created on the database), but when I put seq.nextval in the initial value on the datablock it says that I can not do that, so how can I use the sequence to insert the value in this field in the database. It's my first key in my whichobviosuly database my users cannot enter data for, on the contrary, it is generated automatically.

    User - in the same way in the datablock is a user field that has the user that inserted record, I know I can set the default for this field, but how to make the user automatically insert through forms on the database.

    Same again how put SYSDATE is automatically entered in the field date when the user submits the file?

    Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

    With: new, you reference the column should be inserted (in a trigger to update you: old and: where new: old contains the value before and: new value after the update of the column)

    Regarding your real problem: without a few pieces of code fails and you did, it's a little difficult to say what happened here. If you could get better answers by sharing.

    Sharing also the Versions of database (4 digits) and Versions of forms is important in order to obtain a response apropriate.

    Anyway: you seem to be new to the whole forms / SQL / PL/SQL stuff, so I might suggest:

  • How to assign an initial value by using the driaver or traditional?

    Hi all

    the question is quite simple: I use PCI - 6014 with driver OR traditional DAQ (so far). I have a device connected to a set of things to do in order to provide for a grouping, which selects the operating mode. As soon as the device is triggered and I initialize the DIO, I attribute the initial values BD. The problem is that it takes a while (approx. 15 ms) to do, and during this time (between the initialization of the devices and the initial assignment) the combination of output is one level 0, which is highly undesirable because of the specificity of the device. Is it possible to "encode" the initial values of the things to do, so that, as soon as data is turned on, and the line is declared as DO, it automatically receives the pre-defined value?

    Thank you in advance,

    Mike

    Have you read the card? The answer is no.

  • Setting of the initial values in sharpening Panel

    I found that one of the reasons why LR3 2010 sharpening process seems to be a problem, it's that the initial values in the sharpening in Develop Panel has a DrawWidth of 50 for retail. In addition to the fact that the adjustment of detail is not yet available in LR2, I found that a setting of 50 almost always gives an effect of 'fold' (for lack of a better term) well visible at 100%.  This may be generally correct in lowering the retail value, often to 0.

    Is there a way for sharpening of predefined values (currently level 0, radius 1.0, 50 retail and mask 0 - at least as I am See) to my own favorite settings?  Seems to me it may be related to specific camera presets, but I can't find anything (yet).  For example, I would like to mine the value 25,1.0,0,0.  Or maybe I'm completely missing something here?

    DDS

    Default retail is 25, not 50, unless you changed it.

    You can set your own default values for each parameter and even so eventually (in the prefs-presets Panel) by the camera and sensitivity.

    There are two ways to set the default values.  Develop-develop-Set default parameters, or develop, hold the Alt key and click on "Set as default" in the lower part of the right panel.

  • Radio - initial value group does not properly

    I have problems with a group of Radio buttons in my form with table.

    Form-With-Table simple.
    Radio buttons control the ORDER byclause in the query.

    The form works perfect long as the user clicks on the radio button in the first PLACE.
    but the default behavior of the form does not work properly.

    General idea:

    Using a standard form with table / query.
    There is a group of radio, with 2 radio buttons.

    Option buttons simply control the ORDER byclause in the query.
    Button: SORT_BY_NAME - value: NAME
    Button: SORT_BY_PATTERN - value: PATTERN
    Initial value of the radio button group: NAME

    My problem is that when the user 'open form' and run the right query, the default is MODEL.
    No key radio. query automatically sorts by the MODEL, even if I want the default NAME.

    How can I change the default ORDER BY name?
    Or, how can I change form to automatically - click on the NAME button when open?

    Thanks in advance for your help

    Initial value does not get assigned until forms creates a record in the block whith option button.
    You can set your: radio_group: = "NAME"; at a TIME NEW FORM INSTANCE

  • PasswordEditField with no label and no initial value

    I have a custom password field (PasswordEditField extension) and I wonder what would be the correct values to pass to the first two arguments of the constructor to get no labels and no initial value, but still be able to set the style bit.  Should they be "null" or just an empty string ("").  For example:

    public final class PasswordField extends PasswordEditField {

        private static final int MAX_CHARS = 255;

        public PasswordField(long style) {
            super(null, null, MAX_CHARS, style);
            // ...or...
            super("", "", MAX_CHARS, style);
        }

    }

    The two seem to work the same, I was wondering which is more appropriate.  Don't see anything in the documentation to pass null.

    empty string

  • How to assign values to the application points to leave on a table

    Hello

    I have a FORM on a table with two or three elements. How to assign values to the elements of the application with the values in the elements of form, every time the value of the element is entry, change or page is sent?

    I created a dynamic action to the region level with Event - change to run the suite of PL/SQL, I tried with 3 different ways in PL/SQL, as shown below, but it didn't work.

    BEGIN

    : APP_FY: =: P1_FY;

    END;

    BEGIN

    APEX_UTIL. SET_SESSION_STATE ('APP_FY', v ('P1_FY'));

    : APP_FY: =: P1_FY;

    END;

    BEGIN

    APEX_UTIL. SET_SESSION_STATE ('APP_FY', v: P1_FY);

    END;

    Then I created an action dynamic at the ITEM level with change event to run the suite of PL/SQL and tried with PL/SQL, as shown below, but it didn't work.

    I need to assign values to the elements of the request form as these elements of the application will be used in many other pages in the application. How to I get there?

    Thank you.

    If a dynamic action of PL/SQL execution, you must send your list of page elements in the parameter "Elements of Page to submit.

    See the section 'run pl/sql' for this post.

    If the page is submitted, the elements of the page will be automatically set to session state, and you can have a page process make the code you have.

  • How to store values of TextField in table

    Hello

    I am trying to write a code to store values of TextField in a table. I know how to convert entire TextField. But after that, we have different integer variables. I can't understand how to store values of these whole different variables in a table by using a loop.

    public class ArrAvg {}

    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args) {}

    int arr [10] = new int [10];

    inputNumbers (arr);

    }

    void int inputNumbers (int arr [10]) {}

    int i;

    TextField field1 = new JTextField();

    TextField Field2 = new JTextField();

    Field3 TextField = new JTextField();

    String value1 = field1.getText ();

    String value2 = field2.getText ();

    String value3 = field3.getText ();

    val1 = Integer.parseInt (value1);

    val2 = Integer.parseInt (value2);

    val3 = Integer.parseInt (value3);

    for (i = 0; i < 10; ++ I) {}

    arr [i] = val1 (this should be replaced by val2 and after that by val3? I don't know how to do this)

    }

    }

    I have stored text field in ArrayList so i should traverse the ArrayList. But when i am converting the contents of Arraylist into integer, i am getting type mismatch despite the fact that my ArrayList is of String type.

    Yes - the ArrayList to string but you create an iterator for object

    Iterator itr = al.iterator (); getting iterator of arraylist to iterate through the items

    This method of "al.iterator" () returns the iterator; for your use case E-online String. See the API

    https://docs.Oracle.com/javase/8/docs/API/Java/util/ArrayList.html

    You set it to 'Iterator' which is NOT a generic, so only objects are returned.

    So get back to string.

    Create your instance of the iterator Iterator.

    Is it possible to avoid "iterator"?

    Why avoid it? Just use the appropriate iterator.

    The class has a 'size' and a method 'get (int index) '. So you can use a loop from zero to the 'size', but simply use the iterator.

  • How focus a JavaFX Group properly and set the pivot (reverse) by using translations in 3D space?

    Description:

    I m referring to the Oracle tutorial http://docs.Oracle.com/JavaFX/2/transformations/jfxpub-transformations.htm using the transformations.zip source code, which is available for download on this page. I Don t understand why they Center the xylophone in space 3D like this and why they calculate the pivot (reverse) using translations. So they are creating a large number of groups, including rectangles, representing the xylophone, in addition to finally to a group called "cam".

    class Cam extends Group {
         Translate t  = new Translate();
         Translate p  = new Translate();
         Translate ip = new Translate();
         Rotate rx = new Rotate();
         { rx.setAxis(Rotate.X_AXIS); }
         Rotate ry = new Rotate();
         { ry.setAxis(Rotate.Y_AXIS); }
         Rotate rz = new Rotate();
         { rz.setAxis(Rotate.Z_AXIS); }
         Scale s = new Scale();
         public Cam() {
              super(); getTransforms().addAll(t, p, rx, rz, ry, s, ip);
         }
    }

    final Cam camOffset = new Cam();
    final Cam cam = new Cam();
    ...
    camOffset.getChildren().add(cam);
    ...
    final Scene scene = new Scene(camOffset, 800, 600, true);
    ...

    The Group "cam" is added to another group called "camOffset", which is added to the 'scene' as root the node.

    Until there , everything is understandable to me, but there is a method, called "frameCam (.)" which calls 4 other methods: ""

    If the method ' setCamScale (...) 'is understandable,' setCamOffset (...) ' puts the root node ('camOffset') in the center of the screen, but I Don t understand the 2 following methods at all. Of course, the child ("cam") is not centered, by putting just the root node ('camOffset') in the center of the screen, but how they focus the xylophone / "cam" and set the pivot, using translations:

    Questions:

    1. Why they use 3 different translations (', 'ip', 'p')?
    2. Referring to ' setCamPivot (...) ': Why they are the first translation of 'cam.p' to "pivotX", 'pivotY' and 'pivotZ' and then 'cam.ip' to '-pivotX', '-pivotY' and '-pivotZ' (marked in the source code with * 1 * and * 2 *)? Should he not just put the Group at his position, where it has been positioned before, as if the method has never been called? That would be my guess, because I expect that an object is placed in the same position as before, if I first move with the values X, Y, Z and then return with the same values - X, - Y, - Z in the opposite direction.
    3. Even with the method ' setCamTranslate (...) ' ': Why use another translation "cam.t", moving the Group ("cam") with the same values "-pivotX', '-pivotY' (and not '-pivotZ'), which they used in the"setCamPivot (...) method `?

    Annotations:

    Of course it works, the xylophone is located in the center of the screen and could turn perfectly, without change of rotation point / pivot point, but I Don t understand how they did it. I read everything about layoutBound, boundsInLocal, boundsInParent, blogs about page layout and page layout goes into javaFX https://blogs.oracle.com/jfxprg/entry/the_peculiarities_of_javafx_layout and http://amyfowlersblog.wordpress.com/2011/06/02/javafx2-0-layout-a-class-tour/ and finally a large number of questions to stackoverflow, but I still Don t understand the meaning behind the methods stated.

    Before the call of ' frameCam (...) ', they ask:

    double halfSceneWidth = 375;  // scene.getWidth()/2.0;
    double halfSceneHeight = 275;  // scene.getHeight()/2.0;
    cam.p.setX(halfSceneWidth);
    cam.ip.setX(-halfSceneWidth);
    cam.p.setY(halfSceneHeight);
    cam.ip.setY(-halfSceneHeight);

    I deleted these lines, because it doesn't change anything.

    The base in place, is that there are three defined different rotations, one around each axis. Of course, these could be combined into a single rotation, but doing so would make the geometry in the mouse dragging very complex managers. As it is, the degree of rotation around each axis can be calculated and changed independently.

    In general, the rotations are defined by an angle, an axis and a (pivot) point. The axis is a 3D vector and goes through the pivot point; the rotation is around this axis through that point.

    In the configuration in the example, the pivot of each of the individual rotations is set to the default (0,0,0). Because we really want the rotation to be around the center of the group, not the original, the Group translates first point appropriate pivot (ip), the rotations are applied then (around (0,0,0) after translation by ip), then the group is reflected in its location of origin (p). These operations are not commutative, yes show ip, then the rotation, then p is not the same as when you run ip, then p, then the rotation (in the second, ip and p would cancel and rotation would be about (0,0,0) instead of around the Center).

    For good measure, there is a scale, that is also applied after ip (so that scaling occurs from the Center, not the original) and then a final translation.

    The final effect is that there is a lot of transformations that can be controlled independently. There is a scale (s), a rotation about each axis (rx, ry, rz), and a translation (t). The p in translations and its inverse ip are just "housekeeping" to ensure that rotation and scaling are done from the center of the screen, instead of (0,0,0).

    So:

    1. Why they use 3 different translations (', 'ip', 'p')?

    p and ip are translations for the rotation and scaling are done from the Center and not to the origin. t is a general translation, the user sees.

    He puts the group to its original position, but other changes are between p and ip. These transformations behave differently (in a planned way) because the group is translated when they are applied.

    Even with the method ' setCamTranslate (...) ' ': Why use another translation "cam.t", moving the Group ("cam") with the same values "-pivotX', '-pivotY' (and not '-pivotZ'), which they used in the"setCamPivot (...) method `?

    The t values are changed in the mouse Manager (with alt-middle mouse button-drag, which I can't test actually using my trackpad...). As you have noted, the effect of p and IP translation cancel out, so we end up with t, which can be changed by the user. They could have combined t and p a single transformation, but updated since the mouse Manager would have been more delicate, and the intent of the code would be less clear.
