How do I drag a bookmark to Favorites unsorted to the folder menu bookmarks without creating a duplicate in the unsorted folder?

I'm trying to sort all my many favorites by placing them in folders. When I drag a bookmark in a folder or copy and paste into a file a duplicate is created. When I delete one of the duplicate bookmark is deleted in the new folder. Is it possible to pass a bookmark of unsorted in a folder without making a duplicate?

Use cut and paste to move a bookmark or a selection (use Shift and the slider down or hold CTRL and click on individual items) more than bookmarks to a different folder.

Copy will copy the bookmark and create an extra copy.

  • How can I stop Firefox 7 (or 8) to insert the logo of Mozilla instead of the logo of the company during the creation of a bookmarked favorite desktop icon?

When I drag a copy a favorite site of Firefox Bookmarks without a title on my desktop, the icon of the company is replaced by Mozilla icon. This translates all my icons to the Office looking for the same thing, even if individual labels are preserved.

If you create an internet shortcut in this way this shortcut then gets the icon of the default browser.

If you want a different icon (favicon) then you must assign you this icon for the shortcut on the desktop (right click: properties).

You can usually get the favorite icon if you add 'favicon.ico' to the main area of a website (for example http://www.mozilla.com/favicon.ico ) to display favorite icon in a tab and save this image to a folder or see if you can find it in "tools > Page Info > media.

  • I uninstalled aurora and now all my favorites and passwords are left of firefox 4, how can I recover my bookmarks and passwords

I uninstalled aurora and now all my favorites and passwords are left of firefox 4, how can I recover my bookmarks and passwords?

    Sorry you have coming.

See the attached screenshot. If you selected the option to remove my Aurora (nightly minefield, Firefox) the personal data and customizations you deleted all your profiles for each version you have / had installed. You can try to use a program for recovering files, like Recuva, to see what can be salvaged.

The bookmarks to the file places.sqlite , or among the backup of bookmarks Favorites-aaaa-mm-jj.json files (10 are stored). Regarding your passwords, you need the file signons.sqlite and signons3.txt file.

  • How can I drag a tab on my bookmarks bar, as I used to do in the older Firefox?

My favorite feature of Firefox is super-easy bookmarks bar, where I have several folders of my favorite bookmarks and can easily move my current tab in one of these folders, or on the bar separately. Since the new firefox download, I still have my bookmarks bar, but I no longer seem to be able to drag and drop on it. The only way to save a bookmark in specific folders seems to be a multi-step involving process by clicking on the star several times and find the right folder, etc.. Is it possible to bring back the ability to drag and drop on my bookmarks bar? I miss her like crazy! Thank you!

Drag the URL to the Favorites button. You get the dialog box that see you in the screenshot. All you have to do is give it a name.

You must drag by its favicon is said by the way. So if you wanted this forum page, drag it by the blue favicon 'mozilla '.

  • How can I restore Favorites button to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

I did all of the remedies detailed in helping restore the Favorites button to the bookmarks toolbar, but nothing helped. The favorite button is still missing from my bookmarks toolbar.

He disappeared last night when a few cosmetic changes appeared on my Navigation bar.

I had previously imported my Internet Explorer Favorites, but they are buried deep in the bookmarks menu and do not add a new favorite - so they are not practical to use.

If I could synchronize my favorites to my favorites, I could finally give up favorites in favor bookmarks - but apparently Firefox does not provide this possibility.

Disappearance of the favorite bookmarks toolbar button makes it practically unusable Firefox for me - unless I can find a solution.

I have no Add-ons and no new plugin that could cause this problem.

I solved the problem by a suggestion on the support Forum: I just exported my favourites, as a HTML file, from Internet Explorer 8.0 on the desktop. Then I imported the file Firefox by selecting import bookmarks in HTML... under the import and backup button in the toolbar of library.

Finally, I closed and reopened Firefox. There was my favorite button once more on the bookmarks toolbar.

  • How to move recently implemented bookmark bookmarks in the bookmarks Menu?

How can I get new bookmarks appear in the bookmarks Menu directly instead of bookmark recently? Otherwise how can I move all entries from bookmark recently to the bookmarks Menu?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Whitey

Sorry, you can't just ' click on ' once and a new bookmark Menu bookmarks be saved in the folder. The default folder to save a bookmark is the unsorted folder. It has been like this for Firefox 3, and I've never seen an extension that changes this feature.

Overall, there are 5 ways to save a new bookmark in Firefox:
    1 {Ctrl + D}
    2. right click and select Bookmark this Page.
3 bookmarks > Bookmark this Page
    4. double-click on the star that is located on the right side of the address bar.
4A. (clicking on the star will save the new bookmark in the unsorted bookmarks folder).
    5. left click and drag the image to the site (Favicon) in the toolbar URL (or the active tab) in the display of the Sidebar Bookmark {Ctrl + B}
or point bar Bookmarks menu (the drop down menu is open) , then in the drop-down list of your bookmarks and the folder of bookmarks (open records)
or on the bookmarks toolbar - the new bookmark will be saved only when you release the left mouse button.

Recently the Favorites isn't a 'real' folder. If you do not see this folder just right-click on this file and delete it.

Go up that favorite-> edit bookmarks.  Then go up to that favorite-> add bookmark folder.

Right-click on the new folder, and then select "Rename".  Name you want to reflect the bookmarks that will be in it.

Then, go to the folder that contains the bookmarks that you want to move, click on it while pressing the command key.  Drag them out of this folder and the new folder.

  • How to make a favorite button in the toolbar. MSN has a favorite yellow button in the toolbar

I don't see a Favorites button in the toolbar

There is a star as the button next to the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show bookmarks" button next to it to open bookmarks in a menu drop-down.

You can find "Show all bookmarks" to open the Manager of bookmarks (library) at the top of the drop-down list.

If you bookmark a page and then 'Bookmark this Page' in the bookmarks menu as well as the ToolTip changes star in "Edit this bookmark", and the star is highlighted in blue.

    For bookmarks:

    • Click the Bookmarks button, and then select show all bookmarks to open the bookmarks library. (You can use these keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + B)
    • In the library window, click on import and backup button, and then select backup...
    • Save the file in your favorite place on the hard drive.

But I'm not sure of the extension. So here's an idea on my side that connect to your account with synchronization. See this help: How can I set up Firefox Sync the sync settings, choose only bookmarks and Add-ons. Hope this can help.
