How do I import data from Peoplesoft

Hello

How can I implement the ability to provide actual figures of peoplesoft?

Can I do this using HIA?

Thank you!

You can use the EIAS for this if the data Essbase (drawn from PeopleSoft) was staged in a star schema. Don't forget that EIS gets very fussy about the format of the star schema, especially if you want to support drill-through of Essbase to relational data (in the star schema).

Most of my clients simply write a routine extracted (using PL/SQL or another underlying method takes care of data bases) that extracts data from PeopleSoft and stages the data to a text file or in a relational table. Then, create you a rule to load and load the data directly into Essbase. It's much more simple and much more common than the EIS/Star diagram method. Most people use only EIS if relational drill-through is necessary, or if they're building a lot of cubes "disposable" out of the same star schema.

  • How do I import data from Excel

    Here's a problem I don't know how to solve.

I have a file, InDesign (a price list) in which a text column contains only the price.

Because prices are constantly changing, and because they must be converted into other currencies I need to be able to link the numbers in an Excel file.

Is this possible and what is the easiest way?

For example, how can I specify the column in the Excel file that is linked?

The vertical spacing of prices is not always equal - there are often empty lines.

The Excel file needs to have the same white lines or is there an automatic way to InDesign to recognize the data and distribute it correctly?

Here is a picture to show what I got. The price column is highlighted.

    Pricelist_shot.jpg

This is how it works with links. Formatting returns to what exists in the worksheet unless you use the Table Styles (and I don't remember when they were introduced, but I'm not sure you have) in CS3. To avoid having to reformat, make the formatting in Excel.

  • Import data from a spreadsheet on the web to the Numbers worksheet

How can I import data from a spreadsheet on the net in a Numbers spreadsheet, keeping its original format? It is not a problem when you use Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice spreadsheet and had no problem when I was with Appleworks6. When I try in number, however, the data which is along a line on the original worksheet comes to the bottom of the left column, which is completely useless.

copy the line then pasted in numbers (command C and V command) has always worked well.

The line of values must be copied from a continuous row of cells.

If you provide a link to a spreadsheet, I can test it on my machine.

  • Vista cannot import data from Taxcut document initially used in Windows XP in 2008. In fact, it is impossible to open the same (initialize) this document. How can I change this?

How can I get VISTA to open or import data from a document of Taxcut created in 2008 in Windows XP. The document is installed under VISTA, but VISTA is not able to open it or even recognize it.

You must Taxcut 2008 installed on the system to open the file - it needs the program to open the file (the file itself is not enough - he needs the program to open it - and it should probably be the same year to open it but it may work to the year next to import).  It is possible that you can import data from the file in a later version of the software (I can do it with TurboTax to carry on information from previous years - although I've never tried to do by skipping a year).  According to the Center for Comptibility Vista, Taxcut should be compatible with Vista, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=Taxcut , so that shouldn't be the problem.

    I hope this helps.

If there are problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you don't have the menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then right-click on the toolbar above to activate the menu bar.

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:
      File > import and export
    • Import HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import bookmarks HTML

See "Import from another browser" and "import from file":

When Firefox is set to zero, then a new profile is created and some of your data (Favorites, history, cookies, passwords, data form) is imported automatically your current profile will be moved on the desktop (old data of Firefox).

You will lose the extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made.

It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be careful to avoid transporting on the problem.

  • How do I export data from one day to backup disk.

    Hi all

Here we have a requirement like, we need to download the data from one day to the external drive and we must compire the exported data and the data in the table.
I googled and I have discovered that using expdp command we can export the table content, but my Question is how do I export data from one day. My table having 2 years of data and I need download the data of only one day.

    expdp scott/tiger@db10g tables = EMP, DEPT = TEST_DIR dumpfile = EMP_DEPT.dmp expdpEMP_DEPT.log = logfile directory

Can someone tell me how to download data from one day to the table & compare data exported with the data in the table. (I know both exported and data of the table data will be the same that we are downloading data of the actual table, but for tests, I need to know how to compare).

    Thank you
    Sree

However, I do not understand the scenario but here is a way to compare:
    (1) change the name of the table newly created in another name
    (2) import the exported file once again

you will have the same data in both tables

  • Import data from microsoft great Adobe acrobat XI

    Hello

I am referring to an object of the adobe support page. German Version can be found here. A quote from the site are under discussion.

I want to import data from an excel sheet in adobe pdf format. I created some forms that have the same names as the columns (to be more precise: the first line) in the excel worksheet. How I export data from excel?

I exported the "tab-separated-Tex", but I found an error in adobe saying that the txt could not be imported. Can someone tell me how to export the data correctly?

    Is there another way?

Thank you very much! Questions or remarks are welcome!

Edit1: I would appreciate a person displaying a file "adobe acrobat" forms a txt for example. That make you much easier, if all goes well. Thank you!

    Import form data

In some stream work, particular scenarios present filled with forms as data only files and not as a complete PDF files. These files are not PDFs, but use a different format, such as FDF or XML. You can view the data provided by an individual recipient in the context of the PDF by opening the original file and importing the information contained in the data file.

    1. In Acrobat, open the PDF form in which you want to import data.
    2. Choose Tools > forms > clear form.
Note: When you import data from another file into a PDF form, the imported data will replace any information that was previously included in individual form fields. However, if the imported data file contains one or more blank form fields, the import does not clear the original data.

    3. Choose Tools > forms > more form Options > manage form data > import data.
    4. In the Select file containing Form Data dialog, select a format in the file of Type corresponding to the data file to import. Locate and select the file, and then click Open.

Note: Some formats are only available for specific types of PDF forms, depending on the application used to create the form, like Acrobat or Designer ES2. Data you're importing a text (.txt) file must be formatted in rows, delimited by tabs that form columns.

I think it would be better for you to put a blank form and a sample data file so that we can test it and check why it does not work.

  • importing data from the old system to the new system, key to the raw16 column

    Hi, experts,

now I have a new system, the design of the system is to use raw (16) column as the key column in all tables of database.
of course, when the new system goes live (in production), new records of transactions are written to the new database system.
When the new system inserts new records, it manages itself to avoid any conflict of the raw key column value (16)

Now, I'm dealing with this problem:

I need to import data from the old system to the new system, I use sys_guid() to fill the column raw (16) into the new database system.
How can I avoid conflicts of raw column value (16) between the old system data and the new data of database system?

the sql code I write is very simple:

    insert into new_sys_table_a (key_column_raw_16,...,...)
    Select sys_guid(), old_sys_col_a, old_sys_col_b
    of old_sys_table_a;
    insert into new_sys_table_a (key_column_raw_16, col1, col2 )
    select key_column_raw_16, col1, col2
    from old_sys_table_a;
