How do I update driver for printer Epson Stylus C43 Color inkjet (USB device not recognized)
I run Windows XP Home Edition and have a printer Epson Stylus C43UX Color. Quite often, the printer connects, is recognized by my laptop and works very well, but sometimes, when I connect and turn on the printer, I get a ball on the toolbar "USB device not recognized" State the Device Manager shows the printer as an unknown device and in the State of the device properties is no indication 'no driver installed for this device. I uninstalled drivers and enforcement "Looking for new hardware" menu Action of the Device Manager has received the balloon message "new hardware found: your hardware is installed and ready to use. Try to then print the results in a "Communication error" message and the printer fails to print.

I don't see any info out there that clearly explains how to add it. It simply States that you must go to "add a printer". Looks like you already did this well.

If there is no Vista 32 or 64 bit drivers on Epson site, there will be none. Unless Epson make some. You will need to buy another printer that supports Win7

Vista driver for printer Epson C42UX
I have an Epson C42UX printer I transferred a XP on a Vista computer.
According to Epson, the driver is contained in Vista, but no matter how the printer will not print.
Although the printer is old, it works well and I have a few spare ink and therefore wishes to continue to use it with Vista.
Appreciate any advice as how to operate.

I have a dell inspiron that was originally windows Vista and I changed to windows7. I have a LaserJet where I work, a HP LaserJet P2015 printer and when I plug in the USB, it says (peripheral USB not Recognized One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.
How and what should I do to get the printer going or to get the computer to recognize. Installation CD will not work and I looked online and downloaded drivers but still the same thing.

Method 1: Run the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool and check if it makes a difference.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

Method 2: Disconnect all USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices connected to the computer (unless your mouse and keyboard). Connect the printer and check to see if the problem persists.
Method 3: Connect the printer to a different USB port and check.
Method 4: Reinstall the USB (Universal Serial Bus) controllers.
First of all, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
(a) click on 'Start', type device manager in the search bar and press "Enter." If necessary, click on continue.
(b) in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right-click on the "host controller", click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
(c) repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.
Then, restart your computer and windows will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.
HP printer drivers- ensure that you download the driver appropriate for your device model package.

Impossible to install the updated driver for printer canon

At every reboot (or what it seems) I am presented with an optional update titled:
Canon - printer - Canon MX350 series FAX
Download size: 18.3 MB

This made their appearance in these last weeks, and I've had the printer for more than 12 months (reference at the time of update).
He has downloaded and moved on the agreement (or as it seems), yet a further reboot shows he has not, as it appears again in update option.
Canon has already recommended to uninstall all the printer drivers for the printer, then relocation including that similar issues... a very long process.
Is there a direct link (?) I don't have access to update? Assuming that it can fix the problem.

Or (and this is what I would do), if everything works fine with the printer, the next time that he shows up, uncheck the box, right-click on it and select "Hide this update." The general rule is if the drivers are available at hardware manufacturers, then never install an update to Microsoft hardware (unless, of course, it's a MS product such as a mouse or a keyboard).
