  You should be able to (I'm virtually certain it's possible) If you have the appropriate permissions or property rights in your Vista partition to allow access of the user of Windows7 or users of Windows7.  It's the way it works with XP and Vista and I suspect that it is essentially the same thing here.  You may need to add the users to the Vista partition/folders/files in Windows7 using regardless of their process (it varies probably Vista so I won't bother posting method Vista to do).

  The best thing to do is to follow the advice of Michael Murphy and get help from experts in the Windows7 Forums.

  There are config.lok, EmbeddedLDAP.lok, and XXXserver.lok files that are used by the server administrator and the server managed. Another file locking, named edit.lok is used for the server administrator only. Here are more details about each:

  config. Lok
  The config.lok file is just used to get a lock file on the file config.xml, to ensure that updates to config files run in the series. It won't be a problem if it exists in the directory.

  Edit.Lok

  The modification lock is used to ensure that only one user at a time is changing configuration. The editing lock is used on the administration server.

  EmbeddedLDAP.lok

  This file locks access to the embedded LDAP server, in order to ensure that only one process can access this directory server. If two processes write to the same directory server, the directory server will have a problem.

  XXXServer.lok
  The .lok [servername] indicates that the server with the name of [server name] is running. It is used to prevent a started server twice. If you are sure that this server process is stopped, you can remove it.

  Apparently I spoke too soon because I'm clearly not out of the woods yet.  Yes, I can now access my plug-ins and external LR6 editors, but I just discovered after working on a LR file in a NIK plug when I try to save the changes, it stops at halfway and indicates that the changes cannot be saved because the files are write-protected.

  I checked that I transferred to a disc external hard is clearly stated as being with read & write privileges, so I guess it must be something that LR6 makes on its own files on my exercise of the function "change in" the library toolbar.  But at this point, I blocked.  Any thoughts there?

  Lighroom has no control over the State of reading / writing of files.

  If the file or folder has the appropriate permissions, it could still be that the file is 'Read only' marked in its properties, and you need to check and change if necessary.

  Email has been sent, but not received because an error in the address. A long email that I didn't retype wholw thing, so I just he returned by transfer. I thought it was because of bad weather in think Oaklahoma (tornadoes week before) has no verification of address once again, as I had in my contacts section & knew it was good. Finally, after two attempts, I realized that 3 was absent from the address - so not complete. It is saved in the sent file, but when I tried to correct the address on the original. I couldn't do it.  If this is not possible even to send thw wholw e-mail as an attachment to another which would have the correct address. I do not know how?

  Its very easy to do.  One way is to highlight the message and then go to the Message. Send as an attachment.  Or you just create a new message and drag the message to the folder above the new message then it will work.  You can also copy the message on the desktop, open it in Notepad and add this line:

  X sent: 1

  to the header of the message, and then save it then click on it to open it and it will open as a new message not sent with the same text as before.
