  for the moment, we are on 11.1.2.1 and one more late upgrade scheduled to 11.1.2.3, use Calc Manager rather than the rules Business (EAS). Therefore, I would like to upgrade to business at Calc Manager rules, but without using EPMA (we would still use the classic Planning Administration).   I just checked hbrlaunch.log - he has everything:
  * Date/time began
  * Name of the application
  Plan of Type name
  * Name HBR
  * Username HBR
  * Username Essbase (who always seems to be the name of the user who owns the soft of planning - hypadmin or something similar to that)
  * Values for rtp and they then lists the dimension and the value

  This assumes, of course, Hyperion Business Rules, but that's what the OP said he used.

  Make sure you stop all services of application/database before you take the backup, and you need to back up all files in the application/database layer nodes.

  You can create a view in the physical layer and can create different columns, corresponding to the country, State and city, and can use them in a hierarchy. You can create the query in the following way

  Select b.SID as Country, b.name as state, c.name as city, c.id of

  (select name, model id and parent_id) b.
  (select name, model id and parent_id) c
  where a.id = b.parent_id
  and c.PARENT_ID = b.id

  You can use C.id as a key to join with other tables. After that, you can migrate this table to MDB and create a hierarchy on this basis.

• Windows Vista backup on the external drive stopped working

  I have a LaCie 750 GB hard drive external (total size 698 GB) who I've been saving my drive C and D to a Dell XPS 410 using Vista Home Premium software.  He contended until the end with a backup automated on-demand for once a week.  He performed the backup 30 times since 11/09/09, but sometimes did so sometimes (shorter range) other than the weekly on-demand.  When I compare the total size with the free space on the external drive and my drives C and D, the amount of used space is respectively 131 GB, 5,11 GB and GB 665,5.  I am not very computer savvy, but if the backup program backs up only what of new each time, why used on my external drive space is so superior to what is still on my C and D drive?  I assumed that the backup software would just copy the previous backup, each time that a new backup or write on the oldest backup, but apparently is not.  So now all I get are messages saying that the backup was not successful because a file was in use or something to that effect.  I'm doing something wrong or do I have to reformat the hard drive external when it is "full" to start the backup of my computer again?

  Your assumption is correct. Cross check if a new backup is created and saved in the external hard drive. If a new backup is not too write the old backup, the use of the space will be very high.

  We recommend that you cross check if backup settings are intact. To do this, try the following steps.
  1. open backup and restore by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking the backup and restore.
  2. click on change settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  You get the error message, unplug the external drive and restart the computer. Connect the hard drive and check if you get the error message.

• Calculation Manager takes a long time to open after application of the correctif.500

  We have our EPM environment in windows Server 2008 and have recently applique.500 Patch and all components work properly except calculation Manager and when I connect to the workspace and open the calc Bishop taking lot of time (8-10 Min) to open and after which I get an error like "there was an error in retrieving the list of typical applications. Please see the log file of calculation Manager for more information.

  I checked the CalcMgr0.log but I see no error here.

  (1) how can open the mgr quick calc without taking a lot of time because the customer does not accept that his lot to take some time to open.

  (2) how can I ensure that I don't get the error above.
