  The reason why I write, is that what follows has been also sugested "Furthermore, make a backup of the drivers and Applications.» Still, if the hard drive needs to be replaced, you will need to install all the drivers and perhaps some applications again for which you have this backup. "I don't know how to do on the PC and I was wondering if it was possible.

  Mike, you're welcome.

  I know that in the past, there are third-party programs that could back up the drivers, but I could not find one to win 8.1.  With respect to applications, the CD recovery and Image will be all you need.

  In the later version, it is an option in the psadmin menu, not sure about PT8.43.
  In any case, delete the file %PS_HOME%\appserv\domain_name\CACHE did the same thing.

  I am a newbie to SOA suite. I installed Oracle XE, Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 and Oracle SOA Suite 10 g (10.1.3.1) (file name soa_windows_x86_
  101310_disk1.zip) on my windows XP machine
  Now, I created a ' Hello World Bepel process '. To deploy, I tried to create a connection to the application server. I'm not sure that I need to install more things or not.
  Here are the steps that happened so that I was trying to connect to the application server.
  1 > connection name: given as 'AppServerConnection1 '.
  Type of connection as "Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3"
  2 > username: oc4jadmin
  Password: given my password
  3 > host name: localhost
  RMI port came as 23791 as default value (Please note that I checked the opmn folder and tried to use the MRI of the XML too)
  4 > while testing I was getting error like "for the input string:"23791home"
  
  Not sure if I need to install anything (probably Application Server) more.
  
  Please let me know what I need to do and if I need to install this or else where can I find the file?

  When selecting the connection, that you must select the connection as Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 not Standalone OC4J 10 g 10.1.3

  Hello

  In AppsTier, change to the directory of "$IAS_ORACLE_HOME/config ' and check the contents of the file"ias.properties ". You will see a line starting with 'Version', see below, which will give you the exact version of the iAS.

  Version = 10.1.3.0.0

  I have the following Setup
  
  Server to have the identity/access server/Webgate installed and I'm protecting a resource. The success of authentication/authorization, I'm it redirecting to a page of redirect.jsp (with the HTTP_OBLIX_UID) to ServerB.
  
  Server B is to have installed the application server.
  
  I try to get the ObSSOCookie page redirect.jsp Server B, but I don't get the header variables & the ObSSOCookie.
  
  Please help me out on the place where wrong me.

  I did mention that the only consideration was that you must use the FQDNs to serverA, ServerB etc. Your trace shows the resources that you access are -

  who are not fully qualified. That's why the ObSSOCookie generated is based on the host and the browser will send it back to http://ServerA/ * only.

  Use them instead.

  http://ServerA.yourcompany.com/login.html
  http://ServerB.yourcompany.com/cookie/snoop.jsp

  I'm looking for a light version of Weblogic 10.3 application server - something similar to the Express of Weblogic 8.1 edition.
  I saw in the documentation that there is a standard version and an enterprise version, but I don't see where I can get it. also I don't know if there is an equivalent "express" version.
  
  If this isn't the case for Weblogic 10.3, even if there is one for Weblogic 10MP1, I would get this.
  
  basically I'm looking for something to use in development with an IDE, on my local machine which of course has limited resources.

  10.3 WLS is the first version to offer this option as an argument to disable all other services, all or nothing. This Server behave like WebLogic Server Express Edition did in previous versions. I'm not sure what other services remain, but the Servlet container will always be there. It is referenced in the "what's new" in the section "install".

  I know that in the future releases will have a more granular control over these services, but it is what is available today. Give it a shot, I really think it will offer what you are looking for if you try to reduce the footprint running and only have the Servlet container.

  In my case, the VCVA began on a new host, and time has not been properly synchronized.  Set time, no more error.

  It is advisable to stop the entire application and take a cold backup on a daily basis and start the application after taking the backup to cold every day.

  For a backup to cold, it is a good practice (if you can afford downtime). However, it is always recommended to have a backup hot for you do not have to kill the application/database, and in this case you can consider having a backup to cold at least once a week (depends on what changes you make to the application level).

  I doubt that:

  Every time you pass a cold backup database. We create a new controlfile with new locations of data/redologs etc.

  And then we execute "create controlfile reuse...". noresetlogs...; "to create the controlfile.

  After that, we will open the database as > > alter database open;

  Now the question is:

  We are able to open the database without clause "resetlogs.

  Here, we create a new controlfile so SNA to controlfile will not be synchronized with the SCN of the datafile and redo the file.

  Please let me know how the new controlfiles' SNA is synchronized with the data file and redofile and wea are able to open the database without resetlogs clause.

  Oracle: 11.2.0.4

  OS: Linux

  If your cold backup also includes online redo logs, a RESETLOGS is not necessary.

  The controlfile is created if it does not have a SNA, it reads the data file headers the YVERT database. For a cold backup, all the headers of data file are consistent.  (This is also the reason why a RECOVERY is not required).

  I made a cold backup of the database, and now I need to restore it.
  The problem is, when I did the back upward, it was in the C drive.
  Now I want to restore in the F drive.
  I get the error:
  ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 11 - see DBWR trace file
  as it appears in the c drive.
  
  What else should I saved the backup, with the exception of the data files?
  How to solve?

  You do not have to re - create the controlfile.

  Just rename the data files

  Make sure that the database is in condition to ride .

   select ' alter database rename file '''||name||''' to '||name|| ';' from v$datafile;
  alter database rename file 'c:\appl\oracle\test\ystem01.dbf' to 'f:\appl\oracle\test\system01.dbf;
  

  The above will display your information data file of the controlfile. Change the drive/directory after to accordingly pointing to where you have these files and run the script.

  Now, try to open the database.
