Replace your hard drive by a faster, for example with an SSD.

But in my opinion, you should ignore completely all windows
Results of the experiment. They are just numbers; they are very
mislead and I wish that Microsoft has never included in
Windows. You must judge for yourself what your performance is,
and take steps to improve performance (purchase of quality components)
only if you find that your performance is unacceptable.

Are you talking about overclocking the processor? You can do this in some

  • How expand you a healthy (C:\) partition in the unallocated disk space - used to be partitioned as D:\?

At some point in the past, someone partitioned my hard drive in C:\ = 15 GB and D:\ = 95 GB.  It is the source of the problems. I can't afford to pay someone to fix it as I became unemployed.  SO after some research, I gutted and then deleted the partition D:\. Then I went to "diskpart" in command prompt and typed "extend", thinking that would extend the C drive in the now unallocated space that used to be the partition D:\. Got mssg "part of disk cannot extend the volume. Please make sure the volume is valid for the extension. "How do I do that?  Thank you.

As you discovered, you can't extend the system (C) partition using tools provided with Windows.  You need a third-party disk partitioning application.

    Hello

I use the calendar in Windows RT.

How to make an appointment to repeat, for example, the second Tuesday of each month?

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for posting the question on Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it looks like you want to make an appointment in a calendar application.

I have these steps that should help you to solve the problem.

    Try these steps and check:

    a. open the Calendar application.

    b. Select the date to which you want to schedule the appointment.

    c. type view more.

    d. press the dropdown under what frequency and select on a monthly basis.

    e. tap save change which is at the top right of the screen.

I hope this helps. If you have questions more related to Windows, feel free to post here at Microsoft Community.

  • How can you save session hearing on a different hard disk, sent via dynamic links to first?

I am a Mac user. I train to a PC user to edit my audio.

After the edict of sequences in CEP I send it via dynamic links to hearing make the audio changes then new return to CEP.

How can I save the project/session of my Mac on a drive external hard shared for the PC user edit in Audition?

I tried to send the CEP project via dynamic link to hearing, then opening audio files in Audition, then with the video showing in hearing - file > export > Session > checked "save copies of associated files" & chose the external hard drive that we share. No dice. External transfer to the computer and open the hearing session he has no related video and audio files that I had opened are not there. Essentially, this is an empty session.

    Help!

Hi... basically dynamic link is not what you want if you want to send it to someone else for sound editing, as I can tell. I think the best option for you would be to select 'Export DV Preview Video' rather than 'Send by Dynamic Link' (under 'Edit in Audition'), which I think should export a video resolution low - ish, and the audio files and XML for hearing.

    Hope it is helpful

I use windows XP Home Edition. It takes awhile to start when I turn on the computer. How can I speed up this process?

    original title: slow start
    • Faster processor.
    • Fastest hard drive.
    • Faster or more RAM/memory.
    • Less things loading at startup.
    • Appropriate and the most recent hardware device drivers.

In XP, you can cleanup and optimize it in some way, by using the following tips:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are up-to-date and should work fine - there is another thing you pouvez wish to make:

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

  • How can I speed up my pc

    Hello

How can I speed up my pc

I have a hard drive divided into two, the first of has only about 200 mb stiil franco start 20 GB

Anyone know where I could buy the necessary things to speed up my PC

IE makes PC World, sell and install everything that can speed up a pc

    Adam

200 DIMC is small enough and will likely cause your computer down.

That being said, 20 concerts is also low.

My first suggestion is to create a free account on the microsoft skydrive site.

then download files in your 'My documents' folder, then remove them from the hard drive.

In doing so, you can temporarily give your computer more disk space hard until you upgrade your system.

the next thing to do is to consider adding a hard drive to the system as a slave drive.

In doing so, you will not have to reinstall the operating system and it can still remain on your system drive, i.e. master hard drive.

You can shop for hard drives in places like bestbuy, compusa, newegg and tigerdirect and microcenter.

my suggestion is do not go overboard with the size of the hard drive if your just an ordinary computer user.   a hard drive between 80 will be ok for you.

In addition, you might want to add ram memory to your computer.  my suggestion is to have about 1 GB of memory on your computer.  so if you have 512 MB of ram installed, then add another 512 meg's chip to the motherboard.  the two circuits will be equal to 1,024 concerts.

Finally, you can consider adding a graphics card in the motherboard.   This will give you your computer extra power with high graphics and video.

check your computer manual or look at the online manual for your computer model to its Web site of the manufacturer for the technical aspects of the motherboard on the types of ram memory is required and types of slots you have for graphics on board to fit.

but you can probably give service customer of your model number before ordering and buying their products.   in this way, they can be sure that the hard ware you order will be compatible with your computer.

    Method 1

Step 1: I suggest to start in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Note: select Safe mode with network.

Step 2: If the question does not persist in SafeMode with network, then put the computer to boot and check what third-party application's driver is causing the problem:
