  I recently bought a Satellite A300-15A; model: PSAJ4E;

  The laptop has 6 multimedia keys on top.
  As described in the manual, they are supposed to perform the following functions shown (from left to right): (I'm dialing for convinience to talk about later)
  1 mute / power button LED
  2 CD/DVD button
  3. Play/Pause button
  4 Stop button
  5. back button
  6 next button

  Can someone explain all the buttons above.

  The only function these peform for me are as follows;
  1st button only allows the LED turned off/turned on but does not any silent operation with any application (not even Windows Media Player). Even when he performs the operation LED is off; only 6 keys and the bottom screen 'SATELLITE' is disabled; the other LEDS (in DC, Powe. Drums, disks) are always on... What is the problem and how do I start its silent operation so that I can cut the pc with any operation of the application.

  2nd button does that open Windows Media Player. What it is supposed to do exactly?

  All other keys do nothing but work on Windows Media Player. They do not work on any other application; either VLC or any other. How can I make it work on all multimedia applications...

  The last of the woks to buttons ONLY with Windows Media Player! You can't use it with 3rd party like WinAmp player.

  According to the first 2 buttons:
  You can change the functionality assign the right exe file.

  For example:
  If you want to assign the light On / Off instead of Mute, you have to go

  Toshiba Assist-> optimize-> Toshiba Button Support.
  Select Dimmer.exe and click on register and click on 'Browse' button to Toshiba support and go in C:/Program Files/Toshiba/Toshiba button Support (or TBS)

  Now the button will start the dimmer.exe

  Even you can do if you want to use Mute or other applications

  I really doubt that you would be able to just take the pictures and sell them as they are. With the extended license you can usually put them on one product and sell the product. But I don't think that there is a way to actually sell the images. Personally if I were the photographer I will never accept that kind of license with a very great price.

  A simple rule when using images of the reserve, is that it is usually good to use "your project" but not "as the product itself'.

  I need to put a curfew for my son (and his PC) currently in the zone IS while I (and my PC) am in GMT + 1 time zone. Our respective PC is affected to the our respective local time zones. When I put the curfews, I just assumed that it would be "local time"?  For example, if I want to lock his PC from 22:00 to 20 pm EST, this I just put at 22:00 - 08:00 in my PC or do I adjust and put 16:00 - 02:00 (since I'm 6 hours before him)?

  There is no parental control for firefox. You can however get a parental control as app of Google game store that applies to the system-wide.

It has a standard user account and I have the password to the administrator account, which she could not possibly know that I keep changing. How does do and how can I stop this happening?

  The date and time system can be changed using a control panel applet - timedate.cpl file.

  If you have the administrator account, you can refuse his user account access to the said folder.

  1. go to start > type cmd > press and hold shift + Enter (this will open CMD with Admin Access)
  2. on your type CMD in the command below

  Cacls timedate.cpl /p : n

  3. press ENTER.

  The command will refuse access to user account in the file so that it could not change the time and date.

  The only question the idea of Malkeleah, that is when you put a password on BIOS, all you need to do is pop the battery from the motherboard and the password is gone. Faronics has in some programs such as anti-executable and a few other programs that may block the name or ID of a process and prevent it from running (some antiviruses have that option, such as Avast, but usually is a pain in the ass to configure)

  Windows XP is not the Parental control.  This feature has been added in Windows Vista.

  XP can use Internet Explorer Content Advisor and allows to control the time that users can connect to.

  2. click on user accounts.
  3. click on Parental controls.
  4. click on your account picture.
  5. Select Parental control off

  Parental control works only on a non-administrator account. First, you log on to your computer as an administrator. After this, please follow these steps to remove parental controls on your computer:

  b. Select the user who is under parental control.
  c. Select disabled, and then click Ok.
  2. If you set up Parental controls with parental controls
  a. connect to http://familysafety.microsoft.com using the parent account.

  b. click Manage list of the members of the family.

  c. Select the child's account, and then click Remove. Click delete to confirm.

  d. open the parental controls on your computer client.

  e. on the upper right side of the parental control window, click the icon to get the latest settings from the Web site .
