  The book you bought is for an older version of DW.  Which one, I don't know.  Changed a lot in the 2013, 2014 in June and October 2014,1 releases of CC.  Books are usually at least 1 version and sometimes 2 obsolete versions.

  We have just integrated textflow in rather more large frame dynamic Flex/Flash. Everything is works pretty well, except for the issue of fonts to embed. We spend hours after hours trying to make it work... no dice.

  
  Could you describe enough little please once more best practices for dynamically loaded fonts using TLF?

  (a) the most practicle way to use dynamic fonts would be to load files SWF runtime... am I right?

  So we bought more recent Flash CS4, hoping to have some cff = true Option with embedding the fonts.

But this isn't the best solution, since different Gumbo functions on a lot of points and we would have to rewrite much of our framework, we cannot in no time.

  (c) we watched through the ages most examples posted there and they partly do not work with current versions of stable and nightly a plus, because too much has changed.

  So - I would appreciate your help with a current and a working example or approach of how to do this, since we have to deliver the new solution and really, not being is not able to include all fonts at all with TLF is quite a dealbreaker for our customers.

  Think of it as a scream desperate for help after an incredible amount of frustrating head banging on the issue and wolfing through tons of pages 'aid' to have only humble abilities to understand the English language.

  Your concerns using Flex Gumbo SDK can be addressed on the forum of Flex.

  Assuming that you can not use Flex Gumbo SDK to your project, you can always use it for embedding fonts.

  1. creating a Flex 4 separate project, whose output is a Flash .swf file that incorporates the fonts you need.

  2 use the .swf fonts in a Flex 3 project

  For now, I advise to use the version of Flex Gumbo SDK Beta1 to a bug introduced in a later version.

  Please follow the instructions below. If you do not have your windows disc follow instructions on the link below to create a bootable recovery disk console and then return here and continue with these instructions.

  1. Insert the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer. If you are prompted to press any key to boot from a cd do;

  2. when the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console;

  3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot, select the installation that you must Access from the Recovery Console.

  4. When you are prompted, type the administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER;

  5. at the command prompt, type chkdsk/r > press ENTER. (Note: there is a space between the slash and the letter k). Let the scan to run until the end;

  6. to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit at the command prompt and press ENTER.

  Once the scan is complete, restart your computer.  View your results.
