How long to upload videos to YouTube using Windows Live Movie Maker?

How long does it take to load a video on youtube. My video is 4 minutes, saved in an AVI file.  Live Windows saves it in another format? What is the default save?

The processing time is within hours... What is this program anyway?

Guide step by step on how to download a faster video to youtube. I use the AVI record and I'm not checking HD. I use a recommended selection.

  • Download the digital video from a camcorder using Windows Live Movie Maker

Tried to upload digital videos from a camcorder using Windows Live Movie Maker. To plug my camcorder, a dialog box "import video" appears. However when I name the video, and then click then I get an error message "there is no tape in your digital video device. To continue, insert a tape with recorded video you want to import. I tried eject Strip and re-integration, restart the camcorder and PC without success.

OK, I found my problem. I was getting the same error "There is no cassette" who you were. Here's what fixed it:

    1. Right click on my computer
    2. Properties
    3. Device Manager on the left
    4. Find the firewire card in the list (mine was the only thing listed under IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers)
    5. Make a right click, properties
    6. Driver tab
    7. Update driver
    8. Browse my computer for driver software
    9. Let me pick from a list of device on my computer drivers
    10. Choose one that has '(legacy)' at the end
    11. Click Next until it is done.

After that the error has disappeared and I was able to capture video with success.

    Hope this helps,

    -Brett.

You have posted in a forum of WIn XP, so I assume you are using XP?

Using Win XP Movie Maker 2.1... You can save as .avi as follows:

To save a DV - AVI movie file...
    (and other options)
Type of... CTRL + P (or go to...) File / save movie file)
to open the wizard movie recording.
    Choose... My computer.
    Next /.
Enter a name and a location.
    Next /.
    Show more choices.
    Other parameters.
Open the window of the droplet and choose... DV - AVI.
    Next /.
Wait while the movie is saved.
    Finishing...

Or you can try to convert your. WMV file to the. MOV or. AVI
    format using a converter.

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converter is just one example:

    Format Factory (freeware)

(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup296.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the final screens)
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
    Drag > FFSetup296.exe< out="" of="" the="">
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)

WLMM matter videos and displays thumbnail video exactly the way it's supposed to, but in the region which play my video, it is shown upside down-> I can rotate video 180 degrees-> then I realized it was not only the video upside down at first, but it is completely reversed / a mirror-image of the original video (IE there's a zit on the left side of your face in real life and) the original and now with the one in WLMM importetd video the zit is now on the right).

Of course, there are no options for this problem, so I don't know how prevent/reverse this. Y at - it a codec, an update, anything that will allow me to use the files WLMM and 3pg without going nuts?

Thank you very much-, I've been Googling for awhile and couldn't find anything.

  • Hi, I'm trying to use Windows Live Movie Maker to create a movie. The film is in MP4 format and the program does not allow me to open to make a new film. Windows Media Player does not play either.

    You have problems with programs:
    -Windows Live Movie Maker
    -Windows Media Player

    Error messages:
-Windows Live Movie Maker: Sorry Movie Maker cannot open this project file. The file is not compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker or damaged. Please select a different project file. (button: "Learn more".)
-Windows Media Player: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file.

    Recent changes to your problem:
    None

What have you tried to solve the problem:
    Reinstall Windows Live Movie Maker

    Format of the file:

    =============================================
The dialog box that you quoted says "Project file" in Windows Live Movie Maker
It would be a file with an extension WLMP. Or if the file was created with
an earlier version of Movie Maker, it can have an extension .mswmm.

So... just to clarify... MP4 extension or WLMP or something else?

If the files are MP4, you will need to convert them to WMV format before

  • Using Windows Live Movie Maker with Windows 7. Lack of good features.

I'm angry. I am trying to set up a family video Christmas and notice the limited amount of manipulation that has Windows Live Movie Maker. I think remember me the XP version allowing the video to be accelerated or slowed down. I tried to change it on my old computer, XP version cannot open. MOV files, so I downloaded a video converter, now I get an error message indicating that the codec is missing. I just want to be able to slow down the video to add it to my Windows Live Movie Maker film made by oneself. Can someone please help? If Microsoft have Add ons, any recommendations of good software are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Stacey

  • can I set benchmarks when you use Windows Live Movie Maker?

Between mic input and my sound card got cracked or damaged somehow through much use over 3 years ago. I have a Compaq C700CTO w. prcessors (Pentium) of intel 2 x 1.73 GHz, 2 GB of RAM. The card is a Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221. I applied a touch of glue to audio for headphones/output to stabilize because I use constantly for recording sound and it worked fine. Due to the problem with the audio/mic input (the microphone gives a record crackling whenever the amplitude is close to max), I am recording the sound of my videos with a Sandisk mp3 player and I want to sync the audio with the video file. Adobe Audition allows me to edit the audio to make it to the starting point after that I cut the sounds of preparation, but I can't figure out how to set a landmark in Live Movie Maker program without calling the start or endpoint. Is there another way to set a landmark in Live Movie Maker? I can probably use hearing to edit video too but have not always taken the habit to use it for something other than the audio editing and mixing if registered clips separately. Thank you from any point of view on Movie Maker.       DL

You cannot set benchmarks in WLMM.

Audition is an audio editing application, so won't edit video.

If you use a Clap to give you a strong a few applause you will find it easy to synchronize the separate audio and video using this noise, then cut an equal amount to get rid of it in your final cut.

  • Can I use Windows Live Movie Maker to merge 2 short videos?

  • How to change my film saved using windows live movie creation?

This is my first time to make a movie using Windows Live Movie Maker. I didn't know that I have to save the project so that I can edit the video back again the next time, I thought record movie will be the same. But now, since I saved the film, I can't change it more. Any suggestions who can use to edit the film again? Really need help. It's an important film for me. Thank you very much. =)

If you have not saved your project file (.) WLMP) but only your video file (.) WMV) then there is no way to return the. WMV file. WLMP again. The best you can do to start a new project using the. WMV file. To import the given in Windows Live Movie Maker, use the link click here to see videos and photos in the middle of the screen in the usual way.

Your only other option would be to start your project of origin completely from scratch.

As you know - in the future, save your project file on a regular basis which is updated with any changes you have made.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker-how access slowed down effect

    movie maker slow?

Slow Motion is a tool of the mounting base video... I do not understand? Why include a video editing software that only the most basic functions?

    Hey tug luke,.

    1. use Windows movie maker or Windows live movie maker?

If you use Windows Live Movie Maker it has no available Slow Down effect.

Only Windows Movie Maker v2.6 has that effect. I recommend that you download Windows Movie Maker 2.6 If you want access to the effect of "slow down, half.

To make your video more slowly by using this version of Windows Movie Maker, you must use the effect "slow down, half. On the table of the storyboard / timeline, select the video clip, picture, or title to which you want to add the effect. Click on 'Tools' and then click 'effects '. In the "Contents" pane, click the effect you want to add (in this case, "slow down, half"). You can click on 'Play' under the preview monitor to see a preview of what looks like the effect, or simply click and drag the clip to the video or photo.

    Windows Movie Maker 2.6
