How ORA-28232 length input not valid obfuscation toolkit.

Hello

We have recently improved our customers in the face of the gateway to the Apex 3.2 and one of our applications through custom authentication is causing some problems. When the user tries to log in we get the following error:

ORA-28232: invalid input for dimming toolkit length

Error could not ERR - 1029 to store session information. session = item 4975251339308761266 = 279730023222641521

Now I don't know what would cause this fails after the upgrade. My custom authentication scheme is called a function in our database to see if the user and the password match what we have in a table. Here is the code:
  removed
As you can see, I use the dbms_obfuscation_toolkit to get the encrypted value of the password that the user has entered and then check that they match and then return return true.

Now on my page 101, I don't do anything differently, I have a process before the page header:
removed
and have 2 processes of page after sending, one called Set_Username_Cookie:
removed
and another called login:
removed
I don't understand why it has stopped working.

Also we have this application on a development box and it works very well there and it's the same environment that they are both using Apex 3.2, on a 9.2.0.8.0 database. The is the only one that is slightly different between the boxes that the NLS_CHARACTERSET is different than on the development box, we use WE8ISO8859P1, then on the customer facing the front door the UTF8 character set. This wouldn't cause a problem?

Clutch at straws here.

If anyone has any advice on this subject, it would be great.

See you soon,.
Paul.

    You can check it using this:

  • ORA-01843 a month not valid error

    Hi all

    We did an upgrade of database 9.2.0.1 to 11 GR 2 and after that everything works fine.
    But now, we noticed that the users get to the ORA-01843 a month not valid error.
    I changed the NLS_DATE_FORMAT in the init.ora file, but still the error persists.
    As a work around, I changed the NLS_DATE_FORMAT = DD-MM-YYYY on the registry of client PCs and now its works in this pc...

    Is there another way change receives in the world?

    NLS_DATE_FORMAT can be set in several places, but this isn't either / or situation. Put in an init level db parm is the parameter most WEAK. This parameter is substituted by the client OS, which in turn, can be overridden by a SESSION of ALTER, which in turn, can be overridden by the use of the TO_CHAR TO_DATE to the individual sql statement. and if the date is entered by a human being to a keyboard (in fact to key in, not picked a calendar tool or a kind of drop-down selection list) you have really no direct control over the format of the string they capture. So ultimately it's on-demand to ensure that strings as dates are in the correct format.

    That's why I advise developers to ALWAYS use to_char and to_date at the sql statement level. It's the only way they can ensure control over the setting.

  • How to fix a file not valid in the registry?

    Hello

    Whenever I'm burning a disc, I get this file inside the disc «Desktop.ini, Configuration settings, 174 bytes»
    When I clicked it, it will show "C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Burn\Desktop.ini - la".
    Directory is not valid. "And when I browse to this file, it is there.
    Maybe it's my mistake I deleted some files incorrectly or maybe it is imported. My question is how do I know
    If a file or not should not be there? And is there anyway I can recover files that need to be there and
    throw the files that do not belong in the registry. Thank you.

    Does the registry contain no files - it contains entries.  Desktop.ini is not a "register file".  I don't know why the system burning this disk desktop.ini location (although it wouldn't surprise me to have an .ini file included on the disc).  Can you open and/or read all the files you've intentionally burned (i.e., what is otherwise working OK)?  If so, I would just ignore this file (it does not take much space and isn't that a single file - is that a single file isn't?).  If other unsolicited files are also be burned to the disc, what are they?  If you have problems with other intentional files engraved on the disc, so what are the problems (what error messages are getting you)?

    I hope this helps.

    You are the very welcome.

    Please read this guide to make a USB flash drive bootable.

    http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197

    You must download and install the HP USB format by the link tool there is on the Web page.

    Use the tool to format and do a usb flash drive bootable.

    Then, you will need to download Windows 98 DOS files from the link there is on the Web page.

    Then, you copy and paste the files BACK of Windows 98 in the bootable flash drive.

    Then you download and run the update of the firmware from this link.

    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=472278&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253DPSG_I23753_109013%257CswEnvOID%253D1093%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

    You will now see an instruction page after you run the update of the firmware.

    Under the section titled USB Flash Media Micro Code flashing in the BACK, select BACK Flash happy folder view.

    Copy all the files on your USB drive bootable.

    So, to summarize...

    1. you have a bootable USB key with the HP format tool

    2. you copied files BACK of Windows 98 in the bootable flash drive

    3. you have copied the contents of the flash HP firmware BACK on the bootable flash drive folder.

    You are now ready to update the firmware.

    Insert the flash drive into a USB port.  Turn on the PC and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F9 key to get the start time menu.

    Select the boot from USB drive option and press the Enter key and the PC should boot from the flash drive on.

    Now you need to know a few basic DOS commands.

    You should be at the command prompt.

    At the command prompt, type the FLASHBIN.exe command and press the Enter key.

    Then follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.

    It's just a guess,

    what you the sliders are open regardless of any condition, for example;

    OPEN CUT(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN DET(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN ITM(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN LOT(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN DTN(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO, :NEW.CUT_NO, :NEW.NOTE);

    UNA is however open after a condition;

    IF DTN%NOTFOUND THEN
      /** start --added for cha 2011-3172 6/14/2011 **/

          OPEN UNA(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO, :NEW.ACCOUNT_NO);

    All in sliders however closed without worrying, that is, they are all suppose to be open;

      CLOSE CUT;
      CLOSE DET;
      CLOSE DTN;
      CLOSE ITM;
      CLOSE LOT;
      CLOSE STAT;
      CLOSE UNA;

    So I think you close the wen of cursors UNA this is indeed not to open.
    So, pass the "NARROW UNA"; line of code before the END IF; on line 278, since that's when it will definitely be open.

    When I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and clicked on the Firefox icon I get this message on the Firefox homepage "the address is not valid.

    The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded. "I can always access the internet but what do I do to get rid of this message. The home page does not display the icon of firefox.

    You can check the setting of the homepage:

    • Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage

    Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

    Whenever I have upload documents, "ms security essentials" using any Explorer of the material are downloaded. But when I try to install it, its was not and I get a message "channel status is not valid". What this means and how it might be solved.

    Dear Sandeep, thanks for taking the trouble. However, it was too complicated for me. I chose an easy option. I went and restored the system to a much older date. That solved my problem.

  • How can I fix defender of windows with pointer not valid error 0 x 80004003

    How windows Defender ifix with pointer not valid error 0 x 80004003

    Hello

    ·           When you get this error message?

    ·           You have security software installed on the computer?

    Step 1: Temporarily disable the security software and check if it makes a difference.

    Disable the anti-virus software: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-SG/windows-vista/Disable-antivirus-software

    Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
