How the string output to a common indicator?

Hello

I have a sequence of battery with 10 picture sets, there is a wait to delay of 2 seconds between each image. I have a common indicator of channel set and I want to output a string to this indicator in the first framework before the codes between frame 2 frame 9 execution... and I would like another string to the same indicator on the latest image to indicate all the completed exit code. But I find that there is no way to share the flag by two constant string of different chassis. Any idea? Thank you.

Use the variable value or local property of the node of this common indicator in all sequences

  • How to use the string as a terminal window control

    Hi all

I am setting up a terminal window in my VI and to do this I have a control of the chain and an indicator of the chain.

I want the user to be able to write a command in the terminal and when hitting enter into the control must update, but not before! I'd do it

as the user to be able to enter several commands without having to re - click the control with the mouse, so he must stay in the

    control window.

The result of this chain control is introduced to an external motor controller, which responds with a string entry in the string of an invoke node indicator.

I tried to make some case of the event, but not quite sure how I'm going to only detect the input control.

    Any ideas how to precede?

    Thank you

    Concerning

    Tommy

Yes, in the structure of your event, look for an event of your control chain called 'key' down... on the left, there are several upcoming parameters (char, Vcle etc.) where you can use for example the char find char = 13 (back).

    Look here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361B-01/lvprop/control_key_down/

  • How to run terminal console of the CRIO output rtexe

    Hello

I want to run the rtexe application in CRIO (9014) from the console output terminal. In my application the availabe lan port is connected to any other device using cross-over cable. That's why I want to change application console using the console terminal. I tried the taskspawn command but the crio restarts. Is there a command so that I can run the terminal console application.

... I don't know how to get any input from keyboard (the new path of application) of the console terminal...

You can use the interface for RS232 communication standard series. If for example you send 1, 2 or 3 as a string to the cRIO and then you change by program the ni - rt.ini to change the path of access between a startup2.rtexe and startup1.rtexe, startup2.rtexe.

Moreover, I have to restart the controller every time I change the path.

When you use the method with the executable and then one more, then Yes.

IAM cannot use the Subvi because I need to change code fpga also to different instances.

I don't understand why using SubVIs on the RT does not give you the ability to change the fpga code.

If the second method example would be Sub1.vi, Sub2.vi and Sub3.vi. When you get the 2 interface command series, you close the reference to the FPGA1.vi that is used in Sub1.vi and stop Sub1.vi. Then, you start by program Sub2.vi where you open and run the FPGA2.vi.

  • How to save the string in a file with some special characters

    Hello

    I m using MD5 - llb to create a password.

So, I want to save this MD5-string to a file and read it later abd compared again.

    Works perfectly with a proplem:

Some Word create a '\r' in the string of MD5 and when I save this string in a file and read it at the time its read as a '\n' for the comparison does not work.

My question is: How can I record a string exactly as if it were somewhere and read back (also the invisible characters)

    For example, the word: heinz

is in MD5: \r\FB^\07\A6\07T\C7\D9\C2\94\AB\C9\1DS\95 (string as display codes indicator)

When I save the string in a file, then I rerad back: \n\FB^\07\A6\07T\C7\D9\C2\94\AB\C9\1DS\95

I used the "write text file" and "read text file".

What should I use to record and play back the same thing?

  • NLS Explorer: How to decipher the NLSSORT output

I want to understand the linguistic nuances of
How Oracle implements various character sets (language and territory). I have

MetaLink notes 13882.1 (< strong > linguistic sorting data in Oracle 7 and )

    I have
set the nls_comp and nls_sort, because by default (binary sort)
gave me basic ascii values for sorting numbers, which are not what I want.
I'm not too familiar with no parameters and yet, so it is possible that I could be
using a 'better' or more easy nls_sort than generic_m.

    I'm assuming that the
    baseletter is wrapped in 01EA000002,
Since it is the same for other diacritics has as well.

    If anyone knows of
a better way to get the values of type major/minor, please let me know. The reason
why I am pursuing this small nuance is designed to work in a laboratory that
I demo to others, and I personally learned a lot better when I have concrete
I can put my hands on examples.

Oracle local Builder shows you the definition of a language object with the parameters of different flags, etc. NLSSORT function (in SQL * Plus or any other query tool) shows you the end result of the application of the definition of a string in order to get a sort key. As a result, two sources have an informative character. You can use NLSSORT trying to decipher the language definition, but it can be very difficult. For example: If you look the sort keys of the strings 'c', 'h' and 'ch' to SPANISH_M, you will see that the key to the 'ch' is not a 'c' and 'h' key combination This is because "ch" is sorted in a letter in Spanish. It is difficult to discover the dependency in the NLSSORT results, but it is visible in the definition of SPANISH_M.

  • How the names of variables and units used in the binary output file

My colleague will give me LabView generated from the binary files (*.dat). There are more than 60 variables (columns) in the binary output file. I need to know the names of variables and units, which I think he has already configured in LabView. Is there a way for him to produce a file that contains the name of the variable and unity, so that I'll know what contains the binary file? It can create an equivalent ASCII file with a header indicating the name of the variable, but it does not list the units of each variable.

As you can tell I'm not a user of LabView, so I apologize if this question makes no sense.

    Hi KE,.

an ASCII (probably the csv format) file is just text - and contains all data (intentially) written to. There is no special function to include units or whatever!

Your colleague must save the information it records the names and values in the same way...

(When writing to text files, it could use WriteTextFile, FormatIntoFile, WriteToSpreadsheetFile, WriteBinaryFile even could serve...)

  • How can I pause and resume the analog output using DAQmx?

I use a DAQ hardware to produce an analog waveform.  I would like simply to break the output of the wave and then resume where it left off.  I use DAQmx and LabVIEW 2011.

I've seen examples that use a digital or analog break trigger, but I would take a break in the software only.  How can I do this?

    -Joe

    Hi Joe!

I spent some time thinking about it and I realized that you can technically use a fundamental mission of the analog output, as you previously wrote that runs continuously. However, the generated output samples are controlled by the sample clock pulses, and can be manipulated to fit our needs "suspension."

To do this, we will need another counter task that generates a pulse train (see our examples of shipping under material input and output > DAQmx > generating digital pulses > generate dig Pulse Train - Continuous.vi) that stops and starts the user to choose. This can be in another quite VI or controlled by software. We will use this as the task of our output sample clock.

Then, the task of the AO, wire a constant to the sample clock source and select ' DevX/CtrXInternalOutput"based on the counter that you specified in the task of counter. You will need to choose "I/o name of filtration" and check the box that says "include advanced terminals' and right-click of the constant. See picture attached as a reference. In this way, the task of the AO is constantly running, but it generates only actually all data when the meter running task.

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Have a great day!

  • How let labview to check the string is in Scientific Notation.

    Hey all,.

I want to labview to convert a worksheet string in a table. It's easy using the tool 'chain of worksheet to the table '. The only problem I have is that I get the string from a RS232 device and the critical moment arrives.

    Example:

If I read the data from the buffer it gives me:

    1.50337800E + 00 + 1.70316300E + 00 for both channels, it is converted and accepted

If there is a slight delay, I get:

    + 1.50337800E + 00 + 1.70316

It is also accepted because + 1.70316 is also recognized as a number.

How can program labview to check each number he reads is according to Scientific Notation?

    Thank you

This regex seems to work for me, for all cases, I've tried:

    [+/-]\d+\.\d+[Ee][+/-]\d+

Note that it is very restrictive and only follows the shape of ±n.nnnE±mm
