  I'm good with the software and I have used many Microsoft software since the 1980s.   I called Dell tech support and it is always useless and just a more aggravating waste of an hour to talk to their support of technique outsourced in India (who barely even understand English) and then they hang up the phone as it was supposed to be disconnected. I also called Microsoft support and lost more than an hour to speak to their outsourced tech support in the Philippines (and as support of the India, they hang up or 'disconnect' when they cannot answer your question and they go account learn you more about Windows while they do). U.S. tech companies use AMERICANS more for their technical support so their customers can get people who actually care about doing a good job and can actually understand English?

  So if someone who knows using Windows 8 for DRC on the Internet has some tips, then it would be greatly appreciated.

  Vodkaholic27, let me start with the layoff of vodka for a bit and then set Virtual Machine network card to bridged and then assign a static IP address that is appropriate for the guest as the physical LAN operating system is the host.  Then in the local physical network for static IP address router you assigned in the guest OS configure it to allow Port Forwarding on the appropriate port.  Then, you will be able to access from outside local physical host network.  If it's just on the other system on the physical LAN to the host that you want to access the guest you need not set up the Port Forwarding on the router on the local physical host network, simply use linked by a bridge to the network adapter in the Virtual Machine.  If you use NAT to the NIC of the Virtual Machine, then you need to set Port Forwarding in the virtual network Editor.

  Note: The virtual network Editor is not installed by default in Vmware Player 3.x and later versions.

  I first installed uVerse and the WRT1900 as being generally configured (uVerse providing DHCP and DNS), my field devices could not resolve the local my AD server domain name. To resolve this problem, I set up my server AD 2003 to act as a router, Server DNS and DHCP (see diagram below).

  In this configuration, all connected via LAN or WiFi devices can see internet and other LAN/WiFi field devices connected.

  The only problem I have is that I can't access the configuration page of WRT1900 or by using the linksyssmartwi or the address assigned DHCP

  The 2003 Server provides DHCP to all devices in the LAN attached including WiFi LinkSys attached devices

  Server 2003 provides DNS name resolution

  

  in my case it seems that the opposite was true.  I reset my router, which is configured as a LAN Gateway and now I can access limited menu.  most applications have disappeared and I can't do basic as things even see who is connected.  Almost everything that is available is to put the passwords for wifi access and the router itself.

  It will not even to change channels or wifi connection protocols.  Shame on Linksys for not properly support their interface.

  The good news is the still phone app works where some of the above items can still be configured (for example, you can configure at least most of the wifi settings)
