How to activate office for mac after the transfer to the new Mac.

I bought a replacement for my macbook air. After transferring data from my old air, everything seemed to work except that they ask for an activation code, which is long gone. I had the old air for 5 years. How can I activate the new air.

Call MS, no one else can give you a code.

  • How to install Office for Mac 2008 on El Capitan 10.11.3?

I'd love to help on how to install my Office for Mac 2008 software on my new MacBook Pro. When I run the installation I get the error message "Setup could not install the software because there's no software to install" who says a guy from Microsoft's Support could be because I was running the disc via remote disc from my old MacBook. He added that Yosemite is the latest OS to support the 2008 Microsoft software. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

You may be able to create an iso from the installation disc, and then move the iso to your MacBook Pro and run it from there. RoaringApps.com said it should work in El Capitan without problem but I still do not believe their results.

but know the preview application can resize or rotate an image, change the dimensions,

do rotate/return the images, rotate/return several images, reduce the size of image file + change file type.

  • How re - activate management music manually after the upgrade of the OS

I'm upgrading my computer Windows Windows 10 and since then I can not check the button to manually manage music and videos without telling iTunes to erase the content of my iPhone to activate this option.

This if the first time that I had an operating system upgraded since getting my iPhone - if I agree to the guest of iTunes, iTunes will erase the music and videos currently loaded on the iPhone? What happened to my ringtones?

See recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device. As long as everything you want on your device is in your library, then it can back on the device if it is deleted. A restore of backup, as new device, restore backup cycle may be the best approach, once you got all the media.

  • I still use the Microsoft Office for Mac 2008. I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available? or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016?)

"I'm still using Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 Home & Student Edition). I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available?) or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016? I use WORD and have a large number of documents created in my genealogy.

Office 2011 always works, even with El Capitan. If you go to the office 2016, then you can only buy the annual subscription $ 99.00 / year. Office 2011 can be found for $139.00.

If you do not require 100% compatibility, you can use the Free Officefree software.

  • the backup of Microsoft Office for Mac to iCloud

I can't save my documents from within Microsoft Office for Mac on my iMac in the iCloud?  Does anyone have a suggestion?    "HE."

iCloud does not offer the ability to save a Mac computer. You can save an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch to iCloud.

If you have the Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > iCloud drive turned on, you should be able to save a document from the desktop to the folder of iCloud drive or drive movement documents previously saved to other folders to iCloud. You can go to Finder preferences > Sidebar (at the top of the preferences window) and put a checkmark in front of iCloud drive in this window that make it easier. Note that save or move the files to the folder of the iCloud drive will keep a copy on your local disk and synchronize in iCloud. It is not the same as having a backup because if you accidentally delete the local copy, the copy on iCloud is also deleted.

question: How can I open CS5.5 after the migration to the new computer laptop w / Mac OS 10.8.4? I got a dialog box indicating that I had to run Java SE runtime (or something to that effect), when I approved it, then try opening cs5.5 Indesign, the program closed unexpectedly at startup. If I uninstall program & reinstall, my documents will be free, or are they toast? Help!

    Hi rabbit Art,.

Migration from one machine to the other problem most of the time. So I recommend you to reinstall the software. Concern is that none of your documents will be made.

  • Transfer from old office for Mac to new Mac Air

Hi, I just got a new Mac Air and have my old office for Mac on a hard drive. I am able to transfer to my new computer and re - install?

It really depends on how's old office.  Office 2008, no.    Office 2011, you need to upgrade to a free update specific as explains it my tip:

There are free alternatives to the office so

    Alternatives to Microsoft Office

Documents you should be able to open with any version of office.   It's just the version of Office that makes the difference on El Capitan.

I have Windows vista Ultimate edition. but he started asking for activation after the windows update while it has already been activated before the update.

    Hello, Pichon,

If Windows Vista application unexpected activation

On rare occasions, you may be prompted to activate Windows Vista on a computer that did not previously require Windows Vista activation or has already been activated successfully. For example, this may occur on a computer on which Windows Vista was preinstalled by an OEM installation or Volume licensing and are major hardware changes occurred, such as upgrading the hard disk and memory at the same time.

If you are prompted to reactivate Windows Vista, you can do this by using the Windows Activation Wizard to:

    1. Click Start, and then click computer.
    2. Click System Properties on the toolbar, and then click click here to activate Windows now in the Windows activation area. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.
    3. Select the Windows Vista activation method that you want, and then follow the instructions.

To avoid this problem in the future, obtain the latest service pack for your version of Windows Vista, either through automatic updates or direct download.

To update to Windows Vista and prevent this activation problem does not happen:

    1. Click Start, click all programs, and then click Windows Update.
    2. Click find updates.
    3. As soon as Windows Vista found the updates, click the install updates button.

MS Office 2011 is still supported by Microsoft.

I works fine on my MacBook Pro mid-2012 13 "run macOS Sierra.

I upgraded to El Capitan, and it did not affect MS Office 2011.

All you have to do is to install the updates for MS Office 2011.

If MS Office breaks all what you need to do is reinstall Office 2011 but it will work with macOS Sierra.

should my time capsule be connected with a cable for backups, after the initial installation?

If you mean that you have to keep your Mac connected to a Time Capsule via Ethernet for future backups, then the answer is no. Time Machine and time Capsule are designed to work over wireless for your Mac would just need to be connected to the wireless network provided by the time Capsule.

  • Office 365 for Mac, compared to Office for Mac 2016

Thank you in advance.  Background: on my MBP 2014, I installed initially Office 2011 and well just a bit awkward it was great.  About a month ago, with the release, I'm subscribed to Office 365 personal (including Outlook) for Mac (~$70/yr).  Functions are acceptable for good, really no complaints.  I'm a professor and psychologist and count on my desk intensively. So, a more personal and technical question:

    (1) what are the essential differences in the professional features 365 vs 2016 products (Office in the box)?

    (2) I recently discovered that I have access to Office for Mac 2016 family and professional that I can get through a MS discount at $9.99 per year.  This is a "local installation" and includes the Office suite basic as above.  I'm a fool to pay $70 to 365 when I can get _presumptively_ the equivalent of Office for Mac 2016 for $10?

    Vive and TY!

I can't speak for Mac versions, but I'm familiar with versions of Windows. Subscription Office 365 service is an annual payment, but as long as you're subscribed, the software will continue to be updated behind the scenes. I am as well, Professor in business technology, and we have students here at the College use Office 365. They get the version of the University, which is the same as Office Professional, and they can get a subscription to 4 years for a reduced price. That started with the Windows version of office 2013, and now they get the upgrade to Office 2016. Have you checked with your TI University Department to see if you have access to the software through the University and Microsoft volume licensing? Who can usually net you have the full professional version for little or no cost.

DOE this office for Mac 2016 Home and Business provide you with all the software you need? Many lesser versions contain no Outlook or Access, but if they contain all the software you use and that you need, then it should be an easy decision.

  • El Capitan does support MS Office for Mac 2008?

I have MS Office for Mac 2008 installed on my MBP that is running Mountain Lion.  I am considering upgrading to El Capitan, but wonder if MS Office 2008 is always executed with this upgrade.  I'm reluctant to upgrade to the current version because of the expense of MS Office, and also my wife prefers to stay with the version she knows well.

I suspect that I should ask this question on a site of MS, but starts here in the hope that someone will have a quick answer before I allow myself to Ms.

    Yes, he does.

  • How can I access my emails after the death of my PC. I had a pc using Windows Vista and I served my Windows Mail e-mail program.

Disaster of Windows Mail.  Where are my emails please?

How can I access my emails after the death of my PC. I had a pc using Windows Vista and I served my Windows Mail e-mail program.  The computer has stopped working so I removed the hard drive, put it in a case and now use it as an external drive.  My new computer, I took possession of the Documents and Settings folder, and I'm looking for emails.  I followed the path, Documents and Settings / / AppData / Local / Microsoft / Windows Mail but there are 2 folders, backup & stationery as well as a few small files.  Where I could hide my email? Please, I beg you.

There should be a directory called local folders under the message store and eml files organized into folders named after the directories under this directory are.  They may be hidden files, so make sure that you have enabled the display of hidden files and folders under control panel | Folder options | View.  You can also try to search *.eml, because messages are stored as eml files.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background.
