  If you are on a Mac then you need OS x 10.9 or newer to run LR 6/2015.   If you are on Windows, then you will need to be running at least LR 6/2015 requires a 64-bit Windows 7 operating system.  So if you're running XP or Vista, or a 32-bit OS then LR 6/2015 is not compatible.

  If your operating system seems pretty new then it could also be that you have LR 6/2015 on your computer, but you have been using the shortcut LR 5 start LR and just need to find the most recent shortcut.

  This is a strange problem and post here is a coup in the water. I tried for three days to buy Lightroom 6 upgrade to the Adobe web site. The problem is that the cart will not update.
