  I use Oracle database 11g.
  The situation is that I have to run a batch of fixed intervals and copy data in my table from a remote database using a DB link.
  I have 3 tables, 1. Data original table, 2. Exported data table, 3. Status table.
  All the data from the remote database will be loaded into the table of data exported.
  As and as each copy is complete the status table will be updated with 'Y' if the export is successful and "n" If export is unsuccessful.
  When the export is completed, then the status table is activated, if the State Y then the exported data table data is copied in the Original data table after truncating all rows in the original data table. If the status is N then the Original data table will be intact.
  
  How to check if the export was successful for all exported data? What to do if the connection through DB link was lost when exporting?

  No, just put everything in PL/SQL in a stored procedure is what I was suggesting (remember there are things such as external tables if you have to deal with text files). Then errors spread very well when you use start... except... end.

  On opening the box, I discovered that there 2 x 250 GB hard drives. I checked CMOS and show the 2 drives. However, Vista displays only the a drive.

  Excuse my ignorance, but how do I access to the second drive?

  I have Satellite A300 with two hard drives and each HARD drive has another operating system. Both hard drives are recognized correctly.
  I put t know what the problem is here, but the two hard disks should be recognized automatically.
  Try to set the BIOS to default settings and check again.
  Try to start the check and install Microsoft bootable disk if the two hard disks are displayed in Setup.

  I just hope that there is not a hardware problem.

  I have Toshiba satellite A300, model No. PSAGCE-00C006AR,.

  My operating system is windows Vista Home premium.
  Recently, I was working on battery when my system is closed.

  When I connected charger and power he found that the display shows the message (Please wait) forever and does not allow me to enter my password.
  When I press the power button to shut down my PC and reboot in safe mode, I can enter my password and connect to my PC, and however, when I connect to the PC shows only black screen with pointer and nothing more.
  Start button does not respond, the icon my computer or all other icons do not appear on the desktop.

  I did the following steps in trying to repair my PC: -.

  1 I restarted my PC in safe mode with command prompt, you try to run chkdsk/r, however I got the error message that the disk is protected and that I can demand that it runs at the next reboot. I typed Y and restart, but chkdsk does not work although I restarted 2 times.
  2 I restarted my PC and select advanced option then startup repair problem, then I got the message that no problem was found.
  3 I also tried Toshiba HDD recovery, but could not find any folder recovery although there is about 1.5 GB partition that has everything.
  4 I tried the windows complete PC Restore, but I received a message that (a valid backup not found)
  5 that my PC is come without recovery CD, so I borrowed an and restart my PC from the CD and repair selected... etc, however I got the error message that the disk is write-protected once again.

  Any advice how I can get my rear work system will be appreciated and how do I use the recovery folder on the HARD disk and avoid the write-protected message?

  Of course I don't know what the problem is exactly, but I'm confused on a few other facts.
  The fact is that Toshiba has created the reminder that informs the user on the first day that Toshiba doesn't offer the recovery DVDs and it is recommended to create such a DVD support immediately.

  Question about you: you created this recovery media?

  The Toshiba recovery image has nothing to do with the WinRE Vista 1.5 GB partition. Partition WinRE Vista feature. On new models of laptops Toshiba recovery image is saved in folder HDDRecovery on the second partition. If touch you didn t and if you didn t change anything with partitions you should be able to install Vista using this recovery image.

  After your computer is turned on press F8 and choose the first option (if available) computer repair. You can enter the Vista System Recovery Options. The last option should be Toshiba Recovery. If you didn t change anything, this option will be available.

• Not able to start Ubuntu live CD or USB - Satellite A300-13 s

  I hope someone can help me with that. I just got a new A300-13 s pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium. I managed to create a recovery DVD (after having had the same hassle of having to use a specific brand of DVD, as mentioned in other posts) and have tested the DVD, which works very well.

  My problem is this: I want to dual-boot with Ubuntu 8.10 and so have created a live CD to test that everything works before I realize a complete installation. I rebooted, but the laptop does not see the live CD and boot directly into Windows. I tried both the F12 Boot Manager and change the boot order of the bios via F2. Curiously, when the bios boot order is changed, Windows then can not see the DVD drive (via the computer - I haven't checked other roads on the disk).

  I know that the DVD player works when starting, because I can boot to the Windows recovery DVD.

  I thought it might be a problem of compatibility of the hard drive, but I can access the contents of the ubuntu CD (when the HARD drive is the first in the bios boot order). I also tried to copy the files on a USB key. The laptop can see the drive when you start, but do not consider the iso as a system valid. I did the checking relevant md5sum and they are all very good. The live CD is also work in another computer.

  Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I missing something?

  Have you tried to change the SATA Mode in the BIOS? You may need to put in compatibility/IDE mode.

  Sorry to said but in my opinion, drive is dead and that the replacement allows the reader features can save.

  But be aware that not every drive is supported and can be used with the laptop!
  Take a look in the user manual. Sometimes the compatible players are listed.
