How to configure the mode of kiosh for thin clients on windows server 2008

I have an eight Thin Clients who will use RDP to access (Terminal Server Services) Remote Desktop Services on a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. I would like to set up a group of users for these Thin Clients to be in a mode Kiosh so that they have very limited capabilities, can not download and run anything, unable to save anything in the computer except on the desktop and when they log off and back on everything, they had disappeared because the mandatory profile is loaded again.

I'll have another group that more access is needed.

Kiosk.

  • What "unmapped user access" for NFS share in Windows Server 2008 R2?

    In the beginning, I followed this Youtube video to set up an NFS share in Windows Server 2008 R2:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=BQ8Q_vsiksg

    Please note that the default option to allow to access Unix unmapped user is not changed (to about 1 min 57 sec).

    Then I found another article at http://www.vmwarearena.com/2012/07/create-nfs-datastore-for-esx-in-windows.html

    But in this article, I like to select allow anonymous access (instead of allow access Unix unmapped user).

    So who is correct?  Or both are correct (which means that this 'unmapped user access' is not serious)?

    And why should we have to allow root access (in the NFS share permissions dialog box)?  What a security risk?

    Thanks in advance.

  • How to configure the keyboard shortcuts App for submenu items?

    Hi-

    I'm trying to define keyboard shortcuts for Pro Tools. I am facing a problem, however. I want to put a shortcut for the menu item

    View-> view-> Inserts A-E Edit window

    in the keyboard preferences window, so I've created a shortcut to the App to «inserts A - E» The problem is that there are other elements of submenu in Pro Tools with the same name, for example

    View-> Mix window views-> Inserts A-E

    Track-> Bypass inserts-> Inserts A - E

    and it is the latter who eventually be triggered by the shortcut. In fact the shortcut appears in the three places during the navigation in the menus; but it only triggers the item "bypass".

    In the keyboard preferences pane, is it possible to specify which menu a submenu item resides in?

    I'm on El Capitan 10.11.2, ProTools 11.3.1.

    Thanks in advance

    It is not possible that you are trying. Shortcuts can handle only a single menu command name. The command being the last point. Other menus of the parent are not considered.

    1 if the requirment ask the applications that support the san to be used inside the virtual machine, which means that we must set the virtual disk as physical mode, can't set as virtual, right?  If so, this means that the virtual machine can be copied or instant and covert to the model, right?

    2. If the virtual mode, which means that the virtual machine can only access the storage space, but can not use san value-related software. is that correct?

    When RDM in virtual mode, not just san applications that support but also has esx as snapshot can be used

    It doesn't have a VPN service. It doesn't have a VPN server. You make a connection to the VPN client to the WRT54G.

  • How to add the directory to classpath for WL 10.3-managed server?

    Hello

    For our .war, we have a handful of .properties files that are not in the war. The idea was to be able to edit a properties file, as needed and redeploy the application to pick up a few ownership changes. We do this in WebLogic by modifying the startWebLogic.sh startup script and tacking on the file system path to the classpath assignment. This works very well when we deploy the .war on the Server Admin, but we found that target on some servers managed (on the same physical host) does not pick up the properties.

    Is there a similar process required for managed servers, i.e. to change the classpath?

    We are new to WebLogic, so perhaps I missed something basic, but I have not been able to google anything. I'd be happy to hear any opinions on the best ways to do so, as well...

    Thank you
    Sanfo

    If you use the NodeManager to start managed servers, you can specify the path to the server startup in the 'Classpath' field in the 'Start Server' field. Note that everything you put into this value, you will need end tod the value with '$CLASSPATH', which will contain the classpath implicit WebLogic itself needs.

    Note also that you could engineer even not require redeployment when you change your properties of your application files. For example, the Log4J properties (or descriptor XML) file is loaded automatically whenever it is changed, even after the deployment. the Log4J infrastructure puts an "Observer" on it to recharge when changed.

  • Regarding the "Configuration files editor" in BB Pro 5.01 on Windows Server 2008 Server

    Hello

    I read on the help page (http://quest.bb4.com/bb/help/help/Configuration_Files_Editor.htm) that I need to create the file etc/editcode with an authentication code to enable this feature.

    So far, I am still unable to change the configuration from the web gui files... It is supposed to be a specific file type, or do you need to give these codes?

    PS: We are running BB Server 4.60 on the server that is powered on, but Im test new features on 5.01 on a test server. This feature is available without a real license file?

    Thank you!

    If you have the names of these servers in a CSV file with this provision.

    Name
    server1
    server2
    ....

    You can use a script like this

    $report = @()
    Import-Csv "C:\My-Csv-file.csv" | %{
         $vm = Get-VM $_.Name
         $vm | Get-HardDisk | %{

              $row.VMname = $vm.Name
              $row.Folder = (Get-View $vm.FolderId).Name
              $row.HDname = $_.Name
              $row.HDformat = $_.StorageFormat
              $report += $row
         }
    }
    $report | Export-Csv "C:\VM-disk.csv" -NoTypeInformation -UseCulture

  • How to configure the listener with SSL

    Hi Experts,

    I use 11g R2 EE. I want to configure my database listener so that it can be connected using SSL.

    Can someone provide me guide step by step to configure the listener with SSL (including the portfolio so that comes in the image).

    The command line configurations will be well appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Alexander gelin

    The client configuration is the same as the server:

    1. create the portfolio.

    2 creating CSR and copy it in CA.

    3. the CSR signal with your certificate root.

    4 copy signed CRT file and root of public certificate to the client.

    5 configure the sqlnet.ora clients.

    Heavy customers already contains the necessary files. For thin clients, it is necessary to install the full or instant client.

    In SQLDeveloper, connection string should be like:

    jdbc:oracle:oci:@(DESCRIPTION= (ADDRESS_LIST= (ADDRESS= (PROTOCOL=TCPS)(HOST=)(PORT=))) (CONNECT_DATA= (SERVICE_NAME=)) (SECURITY= (MY_WALLET_DIRECTORY=D:\Oracle\client.test.p12)))

  • How to install the ssl certificate in windows server 2008?

    Hello

    Can someone give me the steps to install the SSL certificate on my application hosted on windows server 2008 R2?

    Hello

    Although technet.microsoft.com should be the best forum for the problems of server below is a guide on how to install an SSL certificate.

    It will be useful.

    To install your newly acquired in IIS 7 SSL certificate, first copy the file somewhere on the server and then follow these instructions:

    1. Click on the start menu, go to administrativetools and click on Manager of Services Internet (IIS).
    2. Click the server name in the links on the left column. Double-click server certificates.

    3. In the Actions column to the right, click Complète Certificate Request...

    4. Click on the button with the three points, and then select the server certificate that you received from the certificate authority. If the certificate does not have a .cer file extension, select this option to display all types. Enter a friendly name that you can keep track of certificate on this server. Click OK.

    5. If successful, you will see your newly installed in the list certificate. If you receive an error indicating that the request or the private key is not found, make sure that you use the correct certificate and you install it on the same server that you generated the CSR on. If you are sure these two things, you just create a new certificate and reissue or replace the certificate. If you have problems with this, contact your certification authority.

    Bind the certificate to a Web site

    1. In the column of links on the left, expand the sites folder, and click the Web site that you want to bind the certificate to click links... in the right column.

    2. Click the Add... button.

    3. Change the Type to https , and then select the SSL certificate that you just installed. Click OK.

    4. You will now see the listed link for port 443. Click close.

    Install all the intermediate certificates

    Most of the SSL providers issue certificates of server out of an intermediate certificate so you will need to install the intermediate certificate on the server as well or your visitors will receive a certificate error not approved. You can install each intermediate certificate (sometimes there are more than one) by following these instructions:

    1. Download the intermediate certificate in a folder on the server.
    2. Double-click the certificate to open the certificate information.
    3. At the bottom of the general tab, click the install Certificate button to start the Certificate Import Wizard. Click Next.

    4. Select place all certificates in the following store , and then click Browse.

    5. Select the Show physical stores checkbox, then expand the Intermediate certificate authorities folder, select the below folder on the Local computer . Click OK. Click Next, and then click Finish to complete the installation of the intermediate certificate.

    You may need to restart IIS so that it starts the new certificate to give. You can verify that the certificate is installed correctly by visiting the site in your web browser using https rather than http.
