How to convert a video .mp4 .ogv?

Hello

In addition to the use of edge animate, I also have After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder.

Anyone know how to convert a video .mp4 I created and exported from After Effects in .ogv format?

Unfortunately, it seems that I need the .ogv format to get my preso Animate to play in Firefox. Embedded videos in animate with .mp4 play great on everything except Firefox. Docs animate suggest generating a second type of video compatible HTML5 and import in Edge animate...

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Hi rich,

Unfortunately, Adobe Media Encoder is taken in native support for ogg/theora or ogg/vorbis. However, you can install a (currently beta) plug-in on your system that will allow encoding ogg in SOUL:

fnordware/AdobeOgg · GitHub

Or, if you prefer, you can also install the Firefogg Firefox extension and code to ogv directly from Firefox:

Firefogg - video and audio encoding for Firefox

I had excellent results using the two methods above.

HTH,

Joe

    Hello

There is no option in Windows Media Player to convert a file format to MP4 file format as MP4 file format is not supported by Windows Media Player. The only possible solution is to use non-Microsoft program to convert a file format to MP4 file format. To find the right program, check for the information under articles 'And music videos conversion' in this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Convert-music-videos-and-pictures-from-one-format-to-another

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I get video mp4 for playing the edge animate .oam on page Muse?

Ok.  I'm pulling my hair out here...

I am just placing a file of .oam edge animate with video on a page of Muse. The .oam contains a simple icon (that grows and shrinks slightly in a loop to draw attention) that, when clicked (event "on click") made a video .mp4 appear and start playing. Then the video disappears at the end, leaving the new icon (no controls - it just plays and goes when it's done).

The animation/video playback works fine in edge animate and animate preview of edge browser but when I place the .oam file in my page of muse, the video does not play. I tried the same file without the event 'on click' where the video plays essentially on its own after a second aboard animate and edge Preview in the browser and even once, it does not read in Muse.

It's embarrassing and I don't know how to solve the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions? My .oam file contains a .mp4 file a.webm file, although this will be part of a stand-alone Museum Kiosk and therefore does not need compatibility .webm.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions really.

I thank very you much in advance!

    HA!

Doggone it! Somehow, I knew that it would work very well for someone else. This seems to be how these things go, isn't it? Exciting video, huh?

In any case, I use Safari. I tried the image displayed in preview in the preview of the Muse and then tried in "Preview in browser" and it did not work for me. I just downloaded Chrome and will try to image previewed in there. Perhaps that will work.

Holy crap!  I literally just released the entire HTML for the site of the Muse and opened it in Safari from there and it worked like a champ!  A problem with the perhaps "Preview in browser"?

Well, color me happy! Perplexed but happy!

  • How can I make videos mp4 play in Firefox?

YouTube works fine. Websites to play videos, no problem.
But then I'll go to a site and see a message stating that the video is either damaged or is not supported.
When I search how to play mp4 in Firefox, I find myself on this site:
    http://www.jwplayer.com/blog/the-State-of-HTML5-Firefox-now-supports-MP4/
With the huge headline MP4 supports Firefox now.
No, it * ing is not!
A little frustrated, because everywhere I look for help on this point, I met pages saying this should work, Firefox supports mp4 etc, GOLD forums where we webmakers ask the question and then the solution is something wrong in their codes - that doesn't help me, the lonely end user.
When I go to this suggested test site: http://techslides.com/demos/sample-videos/small.mp4
I get the error message: unable to listen to video because the file is corrupted.
No, it isn't. I can download and play on WinAmp.
When I go to this suggested test site: http://www.html5videoplayer.net/html5video/mp4-h-264-video-test/
I get the error: no video with format supported and MIME the type found.
Huh? Once again, I can download and play it fine.
    But he won't play Firefox.
    so
Is there a fix in the wind?
Is there something I can tweak or change to make Firefox recognize and play this sort of thing?
    Y at - it a plugin/extension/addon that I should download to read mp4?
If this is a known issue that will be fixed later, is there something I can do as a substitute (IE a plugin for now)?
Because it seems that the only alternative is to give up Firefox and start using Chrome, which has no problem with the above videos.

You may need this in case you have no support for MP4 files:

Windows Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN:

Also, make sure that these preferences have the default value:

    • Media.Windows - Media - foundation.enabled
    • Media.DirectShow.Enabled

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • How to convert a video with Playmemories Home (latest version 3.03)

    Hello

    I have a Camcorder HDR-CX580V to work.

    I am running W7 64 bit.

I installed everything first LIte version by following the instructions manual (the camera was always plugged USB).

I have couple of movies (mpeg/m2ts) to a different resolution (HD and STD)

With the version lite, I see that editing/conversion, I have the WMV and MPEG-2 conversion option.

But I can not used (they are light gray shade).

So I decided to upgrade to the full version.

After the upgrade, the only format conversion option I have is MP4?

    I don't have a choice of MPEG-2?

Then, when I try tho convert with the only choice (MP4) and the abandonment of the process of conversion after 1 second.

After a lot of waste hours trying to understand and find information about the problem (interference of codecs), I decided to install on another computer same PMH result.

The camera at home and try the installation process on my personal computer.

Always have the only choice of codec MP4 but this time I managed to convert the m2ts/mpeg file to mp4.

But I'm still confuse the process.

    I had a registered STD (720 x 480) mpeg movie and once converted mp4 it's now stretche (ugly) 1920 x 1080.

No idea why it doesn't work and why I am so limited in the conversion option?

    Should I buy third-party converter/dvd burner?

    Thank you

I have the same problem. When I try to convert mpeg files (saved in this format by my camera DCR-SR35), after a short time, I get an error message saying that the conversion to mp4 can be due to an error. other formats are not present as an option.

You must extract the files using a utility such as winzip or winrar decompression.  With those, you can simply drag the files to your desktop and burn.

I have a file on a USB key that I need to see, but it will not play Windows Media Player. How can I get to read or change the format?

As Sorin has suggested, you can use VLC to play the file.

If you insist on using WMP, download and install this codec pack. I used it several times before, and I have repeatedly recommended. It causes no problems, and it works fine.
