  There is no option in Windows Media Player to convert a file format to MP4 file format as MP4 file format is not supported by Windows Media Player. The only possible solution is to use non-Microsoft program to convert a file format to MP4 file format.   Unfortunately, Adobe Media Encoder is taken in native support for ogg/theora or ogg/vorbis. However, you can install a (currently beta) plug-in on your system that will allow encoding ogg in SOUL:

  Or, if you prefer, you can also install the Firefogg Firefox extension and code to ogv directly from Firefox:

  I had excellent results using the two methods above.

  Music is expensive nowadays and the multiple formats and thus loss of music bought and in the cloud, or itunes 'cannot locate the source' will not play, and when devices in the event of a failure or who are upgraded drives me crazy.  I have more music in my life and I wish that we would go back to portable music as CD.

  I usually use Windows Media player to RIP CD, that I find at thrift stores.   I have my brother gave me, on the PC that is in all sorts of types of music files.  I found a job online converter and it is, according to me, so thank you guys for suggesting that.  Have tried 3 different ones and finally found one that works in the last one.  I think my brain might need a bit of adjustment, of our days, (won't tell you music I have on CD, would seriously date), no kidding, but probably my PC could also use the setting.   I also have itunes for Windows, but have hardly used it.

  WMP can actually read using a such as K-lite codec pack. Cannot therefore VLC (Google) to be honest is your best bet.

  Flash comes with a video encoder/converter. However it will not convert SWF to FLV files.  You must have the native video file to MOV, MPEG4, AVI, WMV... format.

  You will need to use an application of part 3 for this.  What operating system do you use?

  Can I play this type of file in Windows Media Player?

  The .3GPP is a type of media file that is not supported by the player, unless you acquire additional software:

  3GPP multimedia. Ringtone/video files with .3gp file name extensions are usually present on Windows Mobile devices. You can download DirectShow on Internet filters that allow you to play the ringtone file in the drive. Remember, however, that some filters can introduce instability with your computer or programs in general. Ensure that the filters are a reliable supplier of software before downloading.

  You can use your favorite search engine and download DirectShow filters for your computer. You can also search the internet for some third-party software using your favorite search engine to convert the GP 3 or 3 GP player file to a wmp file and install it.

  NOTE: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly.
