  • copy dvd to computer

A friend has a DVD with a few letters on what his father wrote and what she would like to print them so she hard copies.
I can do this.   That is, can I copy the DVD in my taskbar on a USB key or on the computer so I can send them to my printer to print?

    You should be able, Yes.

Just "copy and paste" the letters on your USB key, take the files on your computer and print.

A question may be, they are written in a document file format, your PC can read? (i.e. what program were written files and what programs do you have installed on your PC), but its likely it will be OK if they are in a standard format.

  • How to copy DVD to new DVD files

    Hello

I have a DVD, a video private who shot a friend. On it, there are 6 .vob files (2 which are only 50 KB and 58 KB) and a file of .ifo and 2 BUP files.
These are all in a VIDEO_TS folder.
There is also an AUDIO_TS folder, but which was empty.
First I just copied all over a DVD but my drive did not recognize.
I then used Windows DVD Maker and just added 4 large .vob files and it seemed OK, but it seems that only the first of these videos play.
I'm not copying again (without software) in the hope that simply putting the direct .vob on DVD (without using the VIDEO_TS folder) will work somehow. But not very hopeful!
I look at the software options earlier. I have an old copy of Nero that no longer works. I downloaded something that wants to change my homepage and run all my research through who knows what, so I gave up installing.
    Looking for other suggestions.
Why isn't easy to copy a video from a DVD unencrypted to another? Or is-, but I'm doing it just wrong?

    Hi Daniel,.

I think that the simple article will answer your question: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-copy-your-digital-image-slideshow-to-dvd.pageCd-storyboard, pageNum - 1.html.

This article may be a little more in tune with what you try to do with what you have.  Procedures are very detailed: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/dvd-photo-slideshow/.

The following article covers the process in a series of questions and the second to last covers how to include audio and the last how to burn the DVD.  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Burn-a-DVD-Video-disc.  If necessary or useful, see additional article links along the right edge of the item for more information and details (and with those, do the same) and finally you will get to see all that Microsoft has on the topic regarding the useful articles.  It will take longer than the other items, but will give you a deeper understanding of the entire process (and may be the best way to start to learn the basics and then move from there to an article on the procedure that seem you so much easier to understand (and can change the way that you want to create the slide show).)

It is a little more detailed (and at the same time less detailed), but covers how more info on how to create the slide show that the way to move physically to a DVD, but it can be useful, I included it: http://www.ehow.com/how_4797332_dvd-slideshow.html.

I suspect the first or the second will be the most useful - if the third gives the best overview, if you follow through all the articles referenced as well.

If your problems persist, please explain what exactly goes wrong and where, and we'll try to troubleshoot it.  If that proves to be too much trouble, we will download a special burning software and do it directly - but I had rather you try these options first because they are simpler and should be available and are already well explained (as I need to explain this another solution much more in detail because it is not prepared in advance anywhere).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
