How to create a database link to another workspace

Hi all

Run now, I'm two workspaces in apex.oraclecorp.com.

For example, one is one, the other is b. In the space of only one I need used data in the workspace b,.

So, how can I create a link of database for b in the workspace one?

Kind regards

Patricia

Database of links are created between the databases. In my case, the schema are the same database and I own both the schema.

Thus,.

workspace: one, scheme: (default)

workspace: b, diagram: b (by default)

Connect to the workspace of b -> SQL Workshop:

Grant select on b.table to aDB.

Connect to a -> SQL Workshop workspace:

Select * from b.table;

the precondition is that you must have grant privligle on workspace b.

Kind regards

Patricia

  • How to create a database using Labview7.1, as library management system?

I want to use labview7.1 to create a database as the system.but management library I don't know how to do it.could you show me how to make it happen?

To run database queries, OR sell the database connectivity Kit. However, given that your version of LabVIEW is no longer supported, I don't know if you could buy it. Your other option is to use LabSQL. Two of them are based on ADO. The Toolbox mask some SQL commands low level but you can find plenty of tutorials SQL and should be able to get updated quickly enough. LabSQL is what I use in my LabVIEW applications.

The effective creation of a database is usually done in the database environment itself (for example, you use Access to create a Jet database). It is not really related to LabVIEW at all and appropriate database design is a long topic. If you know the system database that you want to use, someone might be able to point to specific aid.

  • How to create a database by using Visual Basic 2013?

Original title: I need a teaching aid

I have been programming since the beginning of the 1980s as a hobby.  I want to create a database by using Visual Basic 2013 but I have difficulty finding the information as required to fit.

When I was with VB6 I used a book: beginning Visual Database 6 database programming by John Connell

This book taught me everything I needed to know.  He used control arrays (I understand are now mocked) to define the forms of "state machines" which I liked a lot.

I could go back and reinstall VB6 but I would learn instead to perform all necessary steps in VB 2013.  Can anyone suggest a similar book?

I used the COBOL, FORTRAN, VBA, VB6, Basica, etc..  But through it all to adapt to new versions has never been so difficult.  I believe that the adaptation will be difficult if I can find a book that explain the changes.

  • How to create a symbolic link for Window 7?

I'm trying to put in place a Web of Appache server to experiment with WordPress development.  I installed a program called XAMPP installs the MYSQL server, the Appache server and PHP stuff necessary to create a working environment.  The author of the book suggested that I create a separate directory C:\WPDev to use for the development of WordPress.  I was able to make the necessary changes in the httpd.conf file for Apache server to recognize this place, but now I can't return to the PHPAdmin Panel I need to manipulate the MySQL database.

So, what I thought I would do, is create a symbolic link to the original webroot folder in order to access these applications.  The command to do this, I read is:

    MKLINK [[/ D] |] [/H] | [/J]] The link target

/D creates a directory symbolic link.  Default is a file
    symbolic link.
/H creates a hard instead of a symbolic link link.
    /D creates a directory junction.
Link specifies the new symbolic link name.
Target Specifies the path (relative or absolute), which means the new link.

My problem now is the following.  I am logged on as administrator, and yet I get this error message when I try to use the command:

    c:\WPDev>Mklink/d: xampp C:\xampp\htdocs
You don't have sufficient privileges to perform this operation.

Why have I not sufficient privileges to perform this operation as an administrator on this machine?  This makes not much sense to me.

My guess is that it has to do with the permissions to this administrator user ID.  Looks like the WPDev directory inherits the permissions of the parent disk, but unlike Windows XP, I can't just take control of this directory and start to change the permissions.  When I look at the permissions summary, I think I should be able to do.   I think I have all the permissions, but there may be something on the command mklink that I'm missing.

You need to elevate your privileges:

1 log in under an administrator account.
    2. click on the start planet.
    3. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    5. click on "run as Administrator".
    6 type the mklink command.
You can also use linkd.exe that doesn't require elevated privileges. It is provided with the Windows 2000 Technical Resource Kit.

Suggestion. DBCA allows to generate the database model and use the option "+ Save as scripts + ' (no need to create the database).

In the scripts directory, there will be a couple of shell and SQL scripts to create the database. Use them as your CLI model for the creation of a custom database. (I guess that DBCA works the same on Windows as it does on Linux).

Another option, if you are using Oracle XE, is to copy ORACLE_HOME/bin/createdb.sh (probably a + .cmd on Windows) script and change for use. If you manually add non-XE features to the script (such as the installation of the Java virtual machine) If you want a database of SE or EE. (whereby DBCA scripts are a better answer).

  • Create the database link

    Hi guys!

I'm having problems creating a data link...
I enter something like < IP >: < PORT > / < SID > in the SERVICE NAME field and the Assistant returns me error message.
This structure for THE SERVICE NAME is correct?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think the nomenclature might be a little better. During create/edit the entry box is marked but the Service name in outdoor, HOMEtab, and in fact both are misleading.

Looks like you want to use the format EZConnect [host: port / service name].
    http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/EZCONNECT

Service_name is generally SID.domain, but you can get away with only SID since many products add the local domain name. It can work if you leave off of the area, but local and remote domain names are the same.

It's really much easier to use a TNS alias if you have a local listener running with the appropriate entry in the tnsnames.ora file. Thus, for example, in my environment my sqlnet.ora file contains this line:

    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)

My remote database THAT SID is ora1122 on, say, xyz1234567 to the remote computer and I have a TNS alias entry of the xyz1122 in my local tnsnames.ora file. Given these parameters, I am able to create the database to help link

    xyz1122

    or

    xyz1234567:1521/ora1122.us.Oracle.com

Thus the first case depends on all: the local listener running, the tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora parameters. The second case only on rethinking the host, port, and service. And, in my environment, I actually couldn't give up the domain name. us.Oracle.com.

I hope that this more detailed example is aid,

When you enter Oracle, check everything you know from other RDBMS at the door.

In Oracle, there is that one database (by instance). One instance opens not more than one (files collection) database at a time. In other RDBMS, there is such a thing as "databases", a concept that might be somewhat comparable to the tablespaces in Oracle. As a user, you are affecting access to a schema, not a database. For meanings of these words/terms Oracle, opt for a document called the Concepts guide.

With XE, there is a limit of an instance (thus the database) installed by machine. In other editions, you can create multiple instances by installation of the server software (on one box). (But it is not in this forum).

So when you installed XE, he also created the database, called XE, properly. And the identifier of the instance, ORACLE_SID, XE.

What you then depends on what awaits the installation of the application routine. Maybe you just provide the correct connection string and the Setup program takes care of the rest.

If this isn't the case, it might be enough to create a tablespace and app schema, with privileges for the associated connection previously. This can be done by opening a command (command-line SQL) sqlplus prompt and:

    create tablespace test ...;

    create user test identified by test ...;

    grant create session, ... to test;

The DBA 2 days guide should help fill in the gaps (dots) above.
