  To add a newuser you would do the following in the console of the ESX host.

  useradd username (where username is the name of the user account)

  passwd username (This will prompt you for the password for the user)

  Now this user must be able to connect via SSH

  You can then run su - (you will be prompted for the root password) that will put you in a root shell

  Also, you could edit/etc/ssh/sshd_config (using vi or nano)

  and change the following line

  Of

  PermitRootLogin not

  TO

  PermitRootLogin Yes

  type of service sshd restart (you should do this in the console) this will then allow you to ssh to the system as root.

  You can have a configuration of the user for the local access to ESX and it will not be seen by vCenter.  ESX is not its userbase with vCenter synx.

  If you have vCenter, simply create a folder in your virtual machines and the view models, move the virtual machine in question in the newly created folder and add the AD account with permissions to this folder and assign a role.  You can then simply access the vCenter and all they will see, if the user does not have permissions anywhere elsewhere in your vCenter hierarchy, is the single guest.

  But, if you do not have vCenter you will need to create a local account on the ESX host

  1. go in AdminTool > Manage > Security > users... This is where you create new users in the RPD.
  2. I don't think you can create users automatically based on a list of users.

  I suggest you try the following steps if you use Internet Explorer to browse.

  Hi HP.

  You can do this by creating groups. You can add the user to the group, and whenever any user in that group will create a folder; all the other default user will receive full access to the records. You can have more group and another. But a single user can only be added to a group. This grouping will not only allow them to share files, but also allow them to share their calendar by default, so better synchronization while working.

  Here are the steps of the creation of the groups

  1. go on Admin - Business Administration - activate "Group sharing" feature
  2. go on admin - users - group of sharing Public - Management create group
  3. create the Group and add users to the Group

  Note-
  1. the records was created before activation group will not add users to the group to record team
  2. the user of the Group should be the owner of the record

  It does not matter if * you * have access to this shared directory. This is important if the user used to run Oracle.

  When you access the Services application in Windows (I assume you are the DB on Windows), double-click the Oracle service for the database in question and go to the tab "Log On", it is * that * the user who must have access to the directory is shared.
