    Hi marcw6Colonial,

Adobe Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10.

It may or may not work properly with this OS.

I would also like to inform you that it is an older version and not support the Adobe Acrobat application.

  • Is it possible to keep the custom metatags when you create PDF from Word 2007 files?

Does anyone know a way to have custom metadata attached to a Word 2007 document to be completed in the course of an Adobe PDF file? The "Save as PDF or XPS ' in Word 2007 command clears all custom metatags that you have attached to the Word doc as PDF file has metadata cleaned up when you open it in Acrobat X.

However, in Word 2010, you can incorporate the MetaTags in the doc properties, create the PDF file using the Save as PDF, and the metatags are stored in the PDF file. So far, I have not found a way to do the same thing in Word 2007. (I know it is possible to add the metatags in Acrobat after the creation of the PDF file, but we are looking for a way to provide a Microsoft Word template that has the MetaTags already integrated, so colleagues by using Word 2007 can create PDFs that include our metadata.)

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Using check-in PDF or XPS does not use Adobe technology. You must use the Acrobat Ribbon to create PDFs using Acrobat technology (or print to Acrobat that does save all metadata).

  • Create a PDF from Word 2010 file is not correctly convert pictures and text boxes

I have 11 Acrobat and my co-workers with 9 and 10 can correctly convert Word documents with images and text boxes, but v.11 cut the text and is not convert the images correctly.

    Hey Luke,

You may need to check with other files in Word also to analyze whether the problem is with word or Acrobat.

Open a word document, add images, then try to convert it to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer as PDFMaker option well.

    Let me know what happens.

In addition, to make Adobe PDF as default printer and check.

You could even go in PDFMaker preferences and uncheck the option "enable accessibility and reflow with tagged Adobe PDF" on the tab "settings".

If that don't work, then please share the file with me by e-mail (email ID sent via private message) so that I can check my end.

  • How to create PDFs from Outlook in Office 365/2013?

I know that I have the impression of file for printer Adobe PDF option.  In my view, that this does not include attachments.  Is there a version of Adobe Acrobat who works with Outlook in Office 365 so we can easily create PDFs to emails?  (We had Outlook 2007 and Acrobat 9 Standard before we have upgraded to Office 365)

    Hi Chris,

Office 365 is not compatible with acrobat 9. Check the compatibility in web browsers and applications of PDFMaker.

You can download Acrobat last DC Pro (30 days free version track: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial version |) Acrobat Pro DC ) which is compatible with office 365 & will provide features to create the PDF file of the emails in Outlook.

Let me know if you have additional questions, we will be happy to help you.

  • Create PDF from VBA with the same resolution from the Ribbon

I use Word 2010 and Acrobat X Standard. I wrote a VBA application which creates a Word 2010 document and saves it in PDF format.

I have a problem with export to PDF from Word 2010.

In Word 2010, I've specified to the file, Options, advanced, do not compress the images and my pictures are saved in the Word document with high resolution.

On the Acrobat Ribbon tag, I created my own preferences with any compression and downsample off.

When I create a PDF file from the Ribbon, the resulting resolution of the PDF document is beautiful.

I used the feature to record a Macro of Word to capture the action:

    ActiveDocument.ExportAsFixedFormat _

    OutputFileName: = "C:\Gary\Book Publishing\Projects\Problem with Images\Sample.pdf", _

    ExportFormat: = wdExportFormatPDF _

    OpenAfterExport: = False _

    OptimizeFor: = wdExportOptimizeForPrint _

    Range: = wdExportAllDocument _

    From: = 1, _

    À : = 1, _

    Agenda: = wdExportDocumentContent, _

    IncludeDocProps: = False _

    KeepIRM: = False _

    CreateBookmarks: = wdExportCreateHeadingBookmarks _

    DocStructureTags: = True _

    BitmapMissingFonts: = False _

    UseISO19005_1: = False

When I put this code in my code VBA for Word, the images in the PDF output are at a much lower resolution. It feels like the Preferences are not honored.  Any ideas?

I agree, you do a very reasonable assumption; What happened ago just weird... I don't know if the Adobe is doing, or Word...  In any case, here is the documentation for the method uses the macro, because Adobe do not offer an alternative. http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word._Document.exportasfi xedformat.aspx

  • Images cut off when printing to PDF in Word 2010

I saw a thread about it, but he never sufficiently answered. It is perhaps better understand now. It turns out that when I printed to PDF with MS Word 2010, Windows XP, all the images seem to be partially superimposed with a white box. Here are the jpg files, but it also occurs with other formats. I can really only the last column of tiles. This also happened to me with Word 2008. I am attaching a page cropped with such an image. Woukd anyone know what is happening here and how to fix it? I am running Acrobat 9.0 Pro. Thank you very much - it was really bothering me for awhile now. CutePDF will do the job but I prefer the 'high quality distiller' better...

You could try the tool object editing and see if you can choose this white background which is hiding something and move/delete it. Worth a try. It may just be an overlay of some sort.

  • Create PDFs in Word 2016 (feature is no longer available)

Currently using Adobe DC Pro v. 2015.017.20053 and Microsoft Word for Mac v. 15.25. Very recently, there was a Ribbon "Acrobat" in the toolbar to create PDFs from Word, that kept the existing links in the document. (In fact, this is precisely why I bought a subscription to Adobe DC!) Then, it became grey, and even when I tried to create PDF documents to go file Word in Adobe DC, links had not been kept.

I chatted with the support, which was told to delete all files in Acrobat to my application support and preferences files and uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat. Now, the Ribbon is not yet there in Word, and when I start it, it displays the error "compilation in the hidden module error: 'link'.» This error often occurs when the code is incompatible with the version, platform or architecture of this application. »

    Help, please!

    Hi Ilona

We are aware of the incompatibility between 64-bit Mac Office and Acrobat DC and work to provide support because it will update in the future.

To remove the compile error, please install latest update of Acrobat DC.

    Thank you

Now my Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 doesn't create pdf from MS Word or MS Excel I updraded to Windows 10.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.1 creates is no longer a PDF from Word 2007

I upgraded from Acrobat 7 to 9, specifically to better control the parameters when PDFs from Word 2007. It worked as I had hoped until the upgrade of 9.1 vulnerability has been installed. Now it is no longer will create a PDF from Word 2007 documents at all.

Of in Word 2007, when I click on "Create a PDF file" (be it in the Office menu or a toolbar of Acrobat) he asked a file name, but when I click on 'Save' has no effect. This is true even for the simplest possible document with the settings "By default" PDF "Preferences".

If I click with the right button on the name of the document file in Windows Explorer, with Word 2007 closed and click on "Convert to Adobe PDF" in the menu, it starts and the box of staus comes up, but after a few seconds stops and displays "an unexpected error has occurred. PDFMaker is impossible to produce the PDF from Adobe. »

I can still "save under" PDF in Word 2007, but this gives me little control over the format.

Is it possible I can get Acrobat 9.1 doing what I bought, and that Adobe announced it will do?

Are you able to create a PDF using the button from other applications such as PowerPoint?

One solution might be to run 'Fix' on the installation of Acrobat.

My Acrobat 9 Std installation was damaged, so I re-installed 9.0 and added all updates to 9.3.4. When I try to create a PDF from an Office document, I get a pop-up window:

You want to run the Acrobat installer in repair mode?

I clicked YES, with the CD in the drive; the process lasted more than 15 minutes and ended normally.

Any thoughts on how to fix?
