Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro won't create PDFs from Word on my new laptop Windows 10.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro won't create PDFs from Word on my new laptop Windows 10.  How can I fix?

Hi marcw6Colonial,

Adobe Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10.

It may or may not work properly with this OS.

I would also like to inform you that it is an older version and not support the Adobe Acrobat application.

Kind regards

Meenakshi

  • My Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro won't a pdf file.  What should do?

I put it through repair and that did not solve the problem.  Then, uninstalled and reinstalled, but still it does not.  He worked for a few years, but does not now.  I have Windows 7.  Cannot not even save it, although he did take the serial number, I typed in that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of people worked on Win 7, 32-bit, but updates are necessary. The updates would also be required for the 64-bit version, if it works. However, I suspect that you have installed OFFICE 2010 or 2013. In this case, your only choice would be to print to the Adobe PDF printer.

  • Uninstall/reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 will affect already created PDFs?

I get a message that I have to uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to solve a problem. Operating system. Windows 7.  Problem on laptop only.  No problem on the desktop.  Error message states: "license for this product has stopped working.  You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your COMPUTER administrator or Adobe customer support for assistance. (148: 3) "if I uninstall / reinstall will this affect PDF files already created in my Docs?  Is there another way?

The process with does not affect the PDF files, but I'd be concerned about record and such. If you uninstall without disabling, you may lose the second option install and need to call Adobe to reset. I try a repair first and see if that helps. The repair can be done from the control panel > programs & preferences (since apparently you cannot open Acrobat).

If you do not uninstall, do the following before you reinstall: run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. If Acrobat is part of an installation of CS, you may check here (CS forum) for the proper way to reinstall.

If you have an upgrade, so be sure to have the SN of the previous product available.

  • Is it possible to keep the custom metatags when you create PDF from Word 2007 files?

Does anyone know a way to have custom metadata attached to a Word 2007 document to be completed in the course of an Adobe PDF file? The "Save as PDF or XPS ' in Word 2007 command clears all custom metatags that you have attached to the Word doc as PDF file has metadata cleaned up when you open it in Acrobat X.

However, in Word 2010, you can incorporate the MetaTags in the doc properties, create the PDF file using the Save as PDF, and the metatags are stored in the PDF file. So far, I have not found a way to do the same thing in Word 2007. (I know it is possible to add the metatags in Acrobat after the creation of the PDF file, but we are looking for a way to provide a Microsoft Word template that has the MetaTags already integrated, so colleagues by using Word 2007 can create PDFs that include our metadata.)

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Using check-in PDF or XPS does not use Adobe technology. You must use the Acrobat Ribbon to create PDFs using Acrobat technology (or print to Acrobat that does save all metadata).

  • I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop.  Can I load on my laptop to work remotely with the same serial number?

I use Adobe Pro on my desktop all day at the office and must now manage the work remotely from your laptop as well.  Adobe Pro is essential for my work (Ben stamping, writing, advanced editing, etc.). Can I use the same serial number and installation disc for this load on my laptop?  There is no instructions that deal with this issue, and I know of other programs that I have installed Access desktop or portable.  It's not like I'm giving the use of this product to another user or hacking, so I don't anticipate a problem. Any information is appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi Rebecca,.

Adobe end user license agreement permits you to install a license for the retail sale of Monkey on 2 computers to any instance.

For example, you can load Acrobat 9 license on the other computer too.

  • Create PDFs in Word 2016 (feature is no longer available)

Currently using Adobe DC Pro v. 2015.017.20053 and Microsoft Word for Mac v. 15.25. Very recently, there was a Ribbon "Acrobat" in the toolbar to create PDFs from Word, that kept the existing links in the document. (In fact, this is precisely why I bought a subscription to Adobe DC!) Then, it became grey, and even when I tried to create PDF documents to go file Word in Adobe DC, links had not been kept.

I chatted with the support, which was told to delete all files in Acrobat to my application support and preferences files and uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat. Now, the Ribbon is not yet there in Word, and when I start it, it displays the error "compilation in the hidden module error: 'link'.» This error often occurs when the code is incompatible with the version, platform or architecture of this application. »

    Help, please!

    Hi Ilona

We are aware of the incompatibility between 64-bit Mac Office and Acrobat DC and work to provide support because it will update in the future.

To remove the compile error, please install latest update of Acrobat DC.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro and Windows 7 (64-bit)

I got a new computer running Win7 64-bit. I have a copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro, I am getting down to work on the new system. During the installation process, he raised an error by requesting the file adobepdf.dll of Windows Vista. Since I also have a computer running Vista, I was able to locate the necessary file to complete the installation. However, when I try to PDF a website for example, it displays an error to the Task Manager (clock lower). When I check the properties of the Adobe PDF printer, it shows the port as being "LPT1".

I contacted Adobe via online chat, but was directed to the website www.adobe.com/support. There, I could not find anything.

I guess the first question to ask is... Is Windows 7 64 bit & Adobe Pro 8 compatible? If so, what am I doing wrong? If this isn't the case, that answers the question here. When I asked the cat Adobe representative, all they said about the compatibility, is that it has not been tested on Win7, so they don't know.

I tried to make the facility a couple of times / ways. The first time I did the installation, I clicked on Cancel when she asked the file AdobePDF.dll Vista. I got the same results as I did when I found the file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10, so this kind of problems is to be expected.
