How to customize the start menu programs list?

In older versions of windows, I could go to program files and go to the start menu. Here I could organize program files that appear in my Start menu. For example, I could put all my office programs in a folder called Office and all my games in the games. I can not find the folder on the start menu in windows Explorer and the start menu customize does not address records. Help, please. Thank you.

    Click on Start Win7

    Hello
    By clicking on the button start opens a tab on the left and a grey one, a white section a right.
    At the top of the right panel is the following folder names: - name of user, Documents, photos and music q. - can add a new folder to this upper part?

    As Hula wrote, you can only add files that start menu, right click, properties, customize allows you.

    - - - - - - - -

    However, you can change the behavior of these entries of Documents etc. in your Start menu.  There are two ways to achieve this.

    1 change the entry of Documents directly.  To see what I mean, right click on the entry of Documents & select Properties.  In the dialog box that appears, you can see how to include additional folders.

    2. add additional folders to your library of Documents using Windows Explorer.

  • How to customize the context menu in the legend of plotting the graph of wave?

    I am currently on the creation of a simulation of various control loops as educational objectives. Here, I have a chart in waveform to different signals. Now my question, how to customize the context menu in the track of the Waveform graph legend => when I click on 'image' behind the Plotnames one menu to open options where you can customize the color etc. or plotwidth. But students should not have access to these settings. How can I change or disable this menu? The context menu for the waveform graph, I've already customized by right click on table of waveform-Advanced online-online menu, but for the legend of conspiracy, I have not found this setting...

    Thanks for your answers... I tried different things, but I don't see a solution yet :-(

    See you soon

    Hi, STC,

    There have been a number of suggestions for change or disable the table , right-click menu, but I see that this does not affect the context menu of legend , which is what you ask for help with.

    To prevent completely the menu right-click to work, you must disable the chart control entirely. You can do this by double-clicking on the chart and select Advanced Options > active state > disabled. This will prevent the operator to be able to generate a menu right click on the chart control.

    If however you still wanted the table, make a right click menu to work, but the legend made a right-click menu will be disabled, I see two options:

    1. draw a classic decoration square on the legend and the transparent color. This will prevent the mouse clicks to achieve the legend, and transparent it will not interfere with your user interface appearance.

    2 use a Structure of the event to capture the event filter Popup Menu of Activation?  for the chart control. You can then use the Coords property to determine if the mouse is over the legend or not. If this is the case, send faithful away? right Terminal. It will refuse the context menu when the user clicks on the legend of the plot.

  • How to permanently delete a recent list of the start menu program?

    Hello

    I would like to know how I can prevent a program from appearing in the list of most recently used programs on the start menu in Windows 7 (Pro).

    For example, "notebook" is in this list, but I've only start it by double-clicking on text files, never through the start menu. In this way, 4 of the 10 last menu entries are shortened I will never use and that take away space for other, more valuable shortcuts.

    I know that I can delete items manually by using the right-click menu ("remove from list"), but I really prefer a way to do this is permanent.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!
    Michael

    Hi Michael

    I don't think there is a way to accomplish what you describe. There is no way to set this component to "ignore" specific programmes.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you for using Windows 7

    Hello

    I stupidly deleted my file of all programs on the start menu (by chance).
    He emptied the folder programs on the start menu through Explorer windows as well.

    I still have access to all of my programs seeking for them or through the program files. How can I rebuild my Start menu to the original WITHOUT reinstalling windows or something like that.

    Unfortunately, I can't do a restore because it is configured to do a clean up of all old restore points, and he did it about 5 minutes before the problem occurred.

  • some of my (links) shortcut in the start menu programs are "empty". How can I fix the problem? Ron

    Links to programs on the start menu appear as "empty" when I run the mouse over them.  I've recreated some of them, but it's not the biggest problem of why it happened in the first place.  Help, please.  Win XP Pro SP3 IE 8.0 Dell Dimension 2400.

    Hi RonaldPease,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         What do you mean by "links to programs on the start menu appear as"empty"when I run the mouse over them"?

    ·         You are able to launch programs by clicking on them?

    Perform a system restore and check if the problem persists.

  • The Start Menu program folder is empty

    I was trying to organize my folders in the program file in the start menu. In my effort to move some of the files, a new appeared folder also named 'Programmes', which seemed to be a duplicate in the program file, so I removed it. When I did the menu is empty, so I tried to restore it from the Recycle Bin. He restored some of the files and folders, but none that were originally on the computer, such as the Solitaire and file administration tools. Essentially, I want to clean the computer and reinstall all programs and files that have been on it the day I bought the computer. However, I don't have a CD to do this.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    The problem is that no key during the boot stopped the boot process and allowing me to enter the installation or startup configuration.  I swapped keyboards and the problem disappeared.  Apparently, the keyboard did not have during the boot sequence.
    The malware may have changed the folder attributes to hidden.
    Download and run to expose in order to repair the files that have been replaced by 'hidden' by malicious software.  View will remove the hidden attribute from all files that are on the computer of the fixed disks, with the exception of the system files this means that Windows is hidden.
    Just download the tool on your desktop and double-click it to run it.
