How to cut perfectly along the edge of a shape

I'm cutting perfectly along the edge of the form, while I cut this extra piece on the side. I tried a few complicated ways to do, that do not work. However, I feel like there must be a better way. What would be the easiest way to do something like that?

ExamplePic.jpg

I would use the pathfinder tool.

First of all, you have your form:

Then, draw a rectangle on the top and line it up with the outer edge:

Select the shape you want to cut out and the rectangle:

you open the pathfinder tool palette and select the tool "less Front":

You will then see this:

Follow the same steps again for the line in the Middle:

Again select the plan less first tool:

And there you have it:

I hope this helps.

  • How to cut sounds using the Commons of edges?

Does anyone know how to cut sounds or raise the volume to 0 and save using the http://www.edgedocks.com/edgecommons#anchor_edgecommons_20

Its a great way to use soundJS on board, but it is a bit incomplete, since it contains only play

I tried to look in the API for using setMute (true); but I don't get a lot of mistakes in the edge when I try to do

    Anyone know a solve?

To turn on or off the mute button click - the best way to do is to switch a variable to hold the mute State:

    code on Stage.compositionReady

    isMuted var = false;

Call this function in your silent btn click event

    sym.onClickMuteBtn = function()

    {

isMuted =! isMuted; / / Toggle the variable

createjs. Sound.setMute (isMuted); / / set silent status toggled variable-based

    }

If you really want to know if the sound is playing, see the documentation for SoundJS in SoundInstance:

  • How to disable 'registration' on the EDGE

    Hi people,

Just a quicky... If all goes well

How do you turn off the coast of "snap to objects" when the elements of positioning on the stage? I have a small object and I want to re - position the central point to run it correctly, but every time I try to do, he clings to the original (incorrect) center point or it goes too far in one direction towards the edge of the object. I found 'Align to guides' in the menu 'View', but can't find anything whatsoever to "snap to objects" or similar.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon!

    T.

    Hello

Not sure I understand the problem. If you uncheck the Smart Guides, you shouldn't have any behavior snapping when you drag close to other objects.

You set the original transform using the transform tool? It is the behavior snapping to the element you are handling, and maybe it's what you see? If this is the case, try adjusting the original transform in the properties panel to get it exactly where you want.

    Hello.

On a form, the historical record is limited to the user who created the file, and when it was created, or updated.
If you need more information, you will need to implement an audit trail.

  • How I cut myself on the spot

I was demo-ing some software and I recorded the reactions of the client on my webcam because she used. I didn't I was in almost the full clip. Is there a way I can 'culture' myself off the charger? I am an inexperienced user of first Elements 10. Your help is appreciated!

I would like to contribute the following to your feed.

If an object can be "deleted or hidden a video clip" lends itself to many factors, including the location of the object in the frame and the frequency of occurrence of this object on the duration of the video. I can imagine an object is 'sharp' out in many ways if the object was to the left or right edge of the frame or other in a position of cooperative... Crop (as mentioned by SG) tool is a thought. But others include among the caches, effects of mask to create a blur on the object, or maybe just by intensification of the image.

In first items 10 (supposed Windows 7, 8, 8.1 64-bit), you would look like

    a. crop tool of. Change the header/effects/Video Effects / processing / crop. Once you dragged the crop effect in your video, you would use effects to modify the effects area to access the Properties Palette where a Panel of larger crops would be available for the required adjustments of cursor.

    b. cache transparency. Change the header/effects/Video Effects / overlay / four-point Garbage Matte, or one of the other caches. Once one of the caches was slipped in the video clip and you have clicked on the Garbage Matte Panel in the properties panel, you will see a bounding box with handles in the monitor of the editing area. You can move these handles. Whatever it is within the area of the bounding box is kept; nothing outside of the bounding box is excluded.

    c. effects of mask. For the clip selected. Clip mask Menu/effects. One of the effects of blur can be slid into the box of effects mask that is generated in the process.

See edit header/effects/Video Effects/blur & sharpening / and then one of the effects of blur.

    d. scale. Click on the image in the monitor of the area to change, and then use the handles of the bounding box to zoom enough to cut the unwanted person on board.

An important consideration in all of the above is that, when you apply an effect to a video, apply you it to the entire video. So if your unwanted object moves then we'll need to associate the concept of creating keyframes where you can vary your effect for the duration of the video.

See the Properties Palette / your specific effect Panel and the toggle animation icon there. This keyframing can also be done at the level of the stretching of the clip in the Timeline (the orange line that scrolls horizontally on a video and audio clip.

Details can be viewed if you think you have a task that is feasible, based on the details provided above.

    Thank you.

  • How to cut and paste the image of the body of the received email

I'm trying to cut and paste an image included in the bottom of an email and insert it into a Word document so that you can size and print. I can highlight, cut it with Ctrl C, paste it into the document Word with Ctrl V, but the image doesn't show, although the picture frame appears when I click on the place where the photo was pasted. Framework, but empty, no image. Any thoughts?

Thanks to everyone for their help.

The problem has been resolved - to try and finally understand everything.

If you encounter this problem, it is perhaps because, unless you know the file format of the inserted picture, programs can not figure it out for you. Place your cursor on the image, right click and save the image under a .jpeg instead of simply copying. Then work with the file .jpeg in any photo management program you use normally - or even insert it in Word.

  • Help with movement of sprite forced on the edge of an irregular shape of bitmap or vector.

    Hello

I need to be able to restrict the movement of a "wheel" along the edge of an irregular bitmap or vector shape. In addition, as the "wheel" moves along the way, it should return the length of the path travelled in pixels.

What it is for is to demonstrate the extent of what is called the "range of vision." The process involves moving two rods share sighting until the lower part of one is no longer visible on the other, then running a wheel odometer along the road alignment irregular to measure the distance of moving real between the two rods.

I was able to complete the first part of the present, with two rods connected by a "visibility" moved out on an irregular shape vector until the distance of visibility becomes invisible. And it returns the distance the two stems are separated by, feet, using 1 pixel = 1 foot. A segment of this film is reproduced below. The wheel should run on the gray slopes after the Red sight line disappears as it is moved over the Hill.

Of course, the wheel on the edge of the irregular shape and the actual distance of the way back in pixels are the hardest part of this. I remember James Newton and others had developed several methods to constrain the movement of a sprite on the edge of another form. But I could not find these behaviors. In addition, I know calculate the distance travelled by the wheel is going to be a bit complicated, as I suspect, it will need to calculate the hypotenuse of several rise and run triangles, with new triangles added when changing the direction of the irregular surface.

Can anyone offer help at least getting the traffic restricted to a sprite("wheel") along the edge of the shape bitmap or vector?

    Thanks in advance.

How irregular is your form is going to be? If it's just a series of triangles, then it should be simple. If you know in advance what triangles are going to be, then it is even simpler.

Maybe you can find some inspiration here:

  • problems of magnetic lasso on the edge of the photo

When I use the magnetic lasso lens around a large band of my picture which goes up to the edge of the frame, it will not always stay along the edge, but instead the lasso will creep into the picture here and there, often to ruin all the effect I'm trying to achieve.  Is there a way to be part of the lasso magnetic lens just a straight line. at least along the edge of the image?  Thank you.

    Hello!

If you hold down the SHIFT key while drawing with the magnetic Lasso took, he will give a straight line you draw and got to jump all over the place.

In addition, you can use the SHIFT key to add to your selection with the magnetic (all selection tools and lasso). Just hold theShift and draw around the area that you have missed making the selection.

  • How to cut together on a pie graph

    Hiya

This seems like it should be simple, but I can't understand it.

I want a graph of pie like this http://design.ubuntu.com/wp-content/uploads/ubuntu-colour-wheel-voice.png

But I can't understand how to cut everything in the Middle, I tried many options using pathfinder face - but I got the answer "the filter gave no results, please select two paths that overlap.

I tried to use "expand" on the pie chart, but that did not help either.

    Someone knows what to do?

    Any help much appreciated.

You cannot use the pathfinder on a live graph options.

    You can either:

    -Use opacity masks

-dedicate the chart (by dissociate from it), but you lose the ability to change the numbers

  • How can I get rid of the edge lines?

I'm working on an image that consists of lines that have been created with an extra race appearance. I layered several pieces, and where they overlap, I get a low mysterious Cutline. Also when I put a clipping mask to cut them out, the clipping mask creates a similar pale line on the edge. See the Red arrows below. It's 5.1 CS5.5 Illustrator and recorded an earnings per share and placed in an identity document. It prints well without these elements, but when I do a press quality pdf, they appear. Any ideas how to remove these?

  • How are cuts/wipes the screen (like in the tutorial of ramification of A3)?

Watching the tutorial branching and saw that there are a few points where a green overlay on the screen wipes. Sometimes, there is a "cutting" to highlight a section of the screen.

How this is done? (It is a feature of Captivate, or is it done with another application?)

    Thank you!

    As Homer would say... Oh.

Thank you very much. That (and a response that I dug up in the bulletin of KSiegel) answered perfectly. The transition from "wipe" combined with a highlight box using the 'fill the outer area' is exactly what I saw.

    Very much appreciated.
