How to delete lines?

How to delete rows from a table in a map?
I need to get:

DELETE FROM consumers
WHERE col1 = parameter1
AND col2 = parameter 2;

col1 and col2 fail a primary/unique key in consumers

Thnks,

Hello

put the parameters in a map before the table target, connect them with the target table, configure the type of loading of the table to delete, game by constraint: constraint, select the table col1, don't configure it: match when removing = Yes, same for Col. 2. Deploy and run the mapping.

Yes, is there some sort or an easy way to do it?

Is anyway to do this in a single sql statement? I guess not. Correct me if I'm wrong :-)

    Thanks in advance!

Yes. You can use the same approach in Oracle parallel query processing.

Simplistically - a table has a data block and a block of data end start. You can calculate the physical address of the lines for a row of this table in the starting block. Similarly, you can calculate the last address of a row of this table in the end data block.

You divide the range of data block start and end in several beaches - where each line has an equal number of data blocks. Assume that the table includes a 1000 data blocks. We create 5 ranges, each with 200 data blocks. Now, for each of these lines, we can determine what would be the rowid (physical address lines) for the first and last lines to this range of data block.

We take our original SQL that will hit most of the lines in this table:

    delete from fooTable where col_n = :filter1

We add a rowid range predicate to it:

delete from fooTable where col_n = :filter1 and rowid between :1 and :2

We can now start 5 process (in series or parallel) and to provide each of these with the physical ROWID calculated for 5 lines. Thus, each SQL get 200 blocks of data to deal with. As opposed to a single SQL that would have made all the data blocks of 1000.

This approach only works if the SQL is similar to a full table scan - this means that your SQL will probably hit most of the lines in this table.

Basic code for this approach was published in [this thread | http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1534900#1534900]. (ignore the smiley in the code, which is assumed to be zero bindvariable, but is now rendered differently by the new version of Jive)

  • How to delete a backup image of the computer?

Last week I had to format my hard drive of the PC (I won't go into details, but a certain SQL Server 2008 SP1 was the culprit).

I reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and spent 5 days to install my apps and all the updates of windows (SQL Server 2008 SP1, the exception ;-)).

When I got the message saying that there is no update available, I made a full backup pc on my drive hard usb.

A few hours later, Windows told me there was an update available: nothing less than Windows Vista SP1!

So I downloaded the SP1 and installed.

I didn't want to end up with two all backups of pc (I was sure that SP1 had produced changes to the massive file), so I deleted, from Windows Explorer, computer backup image file in my drive hard usb.

When I ran "backup status and Configuration - backup of the computer", he said that, since there was already a complete pc upward in my drive hard usb (which is not true, I deleted it!), going to back up only new and changed files... I had no other choice, so I made the back up and found it was actually a partial upward (I can tell because the size of the backup, the original was almost 50 GB and the second one was 31 GB).

I went on the MSDN forums and found I could do two things:

    (a) change the registry to remove all values full them pc backup keys.
    (b) format my USB HDD.

I've done both. The second it took me almost all day today (copy + / 200 GB of my hard drive on my HDD to the PC, formatting the USB drive and copy back the +/-200 GB).

When I tried to make my backup of the computer, it says "this computer has not been saved.

I sighed and thought: "it was worthwhile, I will have as a backup of the computer!

But no, it was not to be.

When I arrived at the final stage before actually to support to the top of my pc, the program says "the backup can take up to 55 GB of disk space. "Because a previous backup until already exists... that the differences will be saved."

It makes no sense at all... Did someone there with the knowledge of how to delete a backup image (for good) complete pc so a new (full, incremental) can be produced?

I think that being able to add/remove the backup images is a core feature.

    Thank you for your help,

    Hi Sergio Torres,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.  I'll pass your program for better Assistant forum post since this is related to a set of program with Vista rather than a security/privacy issue.  We will track a little to the original problem that you can't get Windows backup to recognize the backup of the image has already been deleted and the need to create a new backup full rather than an incremental backup.  Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It's the MSDN article, you mentioned, correct?
    http://Channel9.msdn.com/posts/keithcombs/Windows-Vista-complete-PC-Backup-and-recovery/

What you have done with success:
1 / deleted the registry key related to Windows backup
2 / use Disk Clean Up tool to remove the backup
3 / appropriate and completely remove the WindowsImageBackup directory
4 / format the USB all together.

If you already completed these steps successfully, then the error will be with a setting in Windows that always store the old backup file list.  I found this suggestion in the newsgroup Vista, give it a shot to see how it goes.

    "Hi Tim,

because the backup is deleted out of band - it is always saved in the backup catalog. This is because the application always displays the text that is incorrect.

It will be first - come back to the full backup if the previous version is not available on the backup location. It is only the user interface that notifies badly as I mentioned above.

If you want the application to forget * all * older backups - you can launch a high command prompt. type the command line-
    WBADMIN delete catalog.

  • How to delete files on the recovery disk?

I'm running out of space on my recovery disk.  I noticed that the compress and the index of the boxes are both checked.
I would like to know what to do and how to delete files on the recovery drive.

    Thank you for your help.

It is very unwise to delete these files, because it is your ONLY way to recover your PC in the event of catastrophic problem with the operating system that cannot be repaired by returning your PC to set up "out of the box.  In fact, most of the PC with a recovery partition you cannot save data on that partition.  If you are still determined to do the easiest to remove these data is boot safe mode with command prompt.  Set up the focus on the recovery partition and delete everything form the command line.  I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you don't know how to do that you probably shouldn't be remove your data from the recovery Partition because without falling back on you should have to be pretty savvy to reload Vista and install all the drivers on your own.  Locutys of Borg

  • How to move lines in their own partition

    Hello

    Here's the story

I have a script create parition and drop parition into a rolling window... .and keep 2 weeks of data

parition table by range with column start_time

somehow, several data is wrong start_time say 2080 script couldn't handle this, so, parition could not be created and droped as usual

and I end up like this
    name of the partition
    p_20800910 < all my data >
    Emty P_20080911
    void p_20080910

now I want to delete lines with 20800910, only hundreds of them and redistribute the data in their own partition, so this may work

    How should I do?

    movement of line are activated

This generates enormous, but data oder total are approximately 35G or more

    any suggestions?

    Thank you ~ ~

    BR/ricky

now I want to delete lines with 20800910, only hundreds of them and redistribute the data in their own partition, so this may work

Seems to me that you do not use the partitions should be used. Distribute the lines after the fact through partitions is not a bright idea. The goal of partitioning must have this automated (via the criteria of the partition) from the beginning. Creating a partition with the evil inside lines... It is simply not true.

To fix this mess, I would be:
-run a DEC (create Table as select) on the partition of junk and create tables for 20080910 and 20080911 lines
    -remove the partition table
-recreate the partition table correctly! (without index)
-use an alter table Exchange partition to swap the contents of tables have been created in the correct partitions
-Add the clues the to the partitioned table

Partitioned table usually means data massive and extremely cautious and careful not to cause unnecessary I/O than e/s on large volumes of data is quite expensive. This means also use CFDS as much as possible to manage partitions and data in partitions for LMD do.

If this isn't the case, then IMO're missing you some serious considerations on how to make tables partitioned to work effectively for you.
