How to disable Wag160n wireless

I have a wag160n and you want to turn off the wireless and use as wired ADSL modem. I don't see any obvious settings I'm setting or the buttons on the unit but I was wondering if I had to define the DHCP protocol to disable if it would make? Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.  As easy as that.  I thought it was just the name of the router, IE make your router invisible to others, but will continue to communicate?

I really want to stop the router the wireless radio signal transmission.  I have problems with the wireless connection, stall, and some computers may not connect at all, which might be due to interference that I see many networks wireless where I live and is seeking a separate dual band (Apple Airport Extreme) wireless router and want to just use it as a modem.  Thank you.

Go to control panel > all items in the control panel > network and sharing Center > manage network wireless (in the left pane) and right click the one you want to change, and then click Properties > tab connection.

  • How to disable, disable or reset the ink level warnings and messages

I spent hours on the internet trying to figure out how to turn it off, disable or reset the ink level warnings and messages. The ink cartridges, I bought are not the expensive brands of HP, but generic print cartridges at a reasonable price. They work great, and I have no problem printing. But apparently HP went through a lot of trouble, making it difficult for customers to disable the annoying low ink level warnings that pester you every time that you try to print a page. It doesn't matter if the ink cartridges are completely full. It is obviously an attempt to punish consumers who buy anything other than HP products. I'm about to recant to never, EVER, buy another HP product again. I'm also about to post horrible comments on Amazon, Ebay, new egg and any other place I can think to warn potential clients of this heinous behavior of HP.

  • How to disable the charms to the point bar Windows 8.1

I have a new HP laptop with Windows 8.1. I HATE the charms bar. It is very annoying. I have disabled the function of the angle of the bar charms appears is more that if I drag the edges of the corner, however, it pop again randomly. I'll be typing along and it will just pop up, blocking everything I am.

I have absolutely no need of this bar of charms. In fact, the only thing that I used it for is to get to the option to disable them. However, on this laptop, which is not completely disable them... I tried to go to control panel mouse to turn them off, but this option is not available. However, I don't think it's the mouse pad, forcing them to pop up even when... I'll be typing along, not even touch the carpet of mouse, and all of a sudden they're going to pop up.

What is the cause of this and how can I get rid of him? I'm getting rather desperate and sometimes feel compelled to throw this laptop out the window! I prefer my laptop HP Windows XP and has replaced only because XP is no longer supported... 8.1 window is one of the most frustrating systems, with that Microsoft has developed.

Please help me turn off these dang for good things!

Seriously, worse than ever, jumping constantly.  It was as if they were really angry...

I went to Wally World and bought a $ 16 wireless mouse, which keeps the charm in the Bay... In fact, I think it's easier to use than the mousepad on my laptop anyway. I can use it on the arm of my chair on my laptop beside this mousepad, on a desktop (obviously), but the point being, unless I run the cursor at the very far right of my screen, the charms are hid...

I have a business Web site, and all working on it, the charms have been constantly popping up as I tried to add images and descriptions. He took me seriously out of my mind... Everything took me twice as long to add, I don't waste time... I worked on it this morning using the wireless mouse and the charms bar jumped not once...

Thank you Paul, but this link just tells me to do what I've already tried... When I tried to get responses on the Microsoft Windows site, it says that all laptops are different, and I would need to go the manufacturer of my laptop to tell me how to disable... • 5660 envy: envy 5660 disable the wireless SSID

I have the printer connected via USB, do not have a Wi - Fi connection.  The printer always broadcasting a SSID, even though the wireless feature is set to OFF.  I looked on these forums and looked through the manual and nothing works to turn off the SSID of the printer braodcast.  How can I disable the SSID?

    Hi @divot71,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you want to disable the SSID wireless with your printer HP Envy 5660. I'm happy to help you!

If the wireless function is set to off, the only other function I can think. Is to disable direct wireless as well. According to this guide, printing with a Wi-Fi Direct, she says: most HP printers wireless released in late 2014 and later support Wi - Fi Direct. Printers compatible with touchscreen control panels have a Wi - Fi Direct icon (). If your printer control panel does not have the icon, go to the menu of the Network Configuration or the wireless settings and confirm if an item of menu Wi - Fi Direct is displayed.

I hope that solves your problem!

  • How to disable NICs for Windows XP?

    Dear Madam:

I have a desktop of Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

How to disable the network adapters in Windows XP?

It's a very good idea to stop Windows XP to connect to Internet automatically due to the end of support for Windows XP?

    Please reply back soon.

    Thank you.

First of all you could just pull the Ethernet cable if this is a wired adapter. Or remove details of the wireless network, if this is a wireless adapter.

Some adapters may be disabled via the BIOS setup, in which case they won't be even visible by Windows as the available material. These adapters adapters "embarked", i.e. the Ethernet cable plugs into a socket on the motherboard I/o Panel not the socket on a separate component card snap.

Expansion card can be deleted without problem after power off, unplug the power cord and anti-static precautions.

    Alternatively, you can...

    • Click Start
    • Click on run
    • Type ncpa.cpl, and then press ENTER.

In the window that results, you can click with the right button on Ethernet adapters (wired or wireless) and then click on disable.

  • How to get P1102w wireless printing

I gave up trying to get my LaserJet P1102w to print wireless. I tried for hours and hours of troubleshooting and reinstalling.

I just shared and will print like this.

How to turn off the wireless feature? I can connect to the web interface with the wired office, but I can not find what setting I can disable.

EDIT: I saw online a reference to the guidelines simply press the wireless button. I did, but then print a configuration page, which still gives a printer IP address that was not 0.0.0.0, so I can only assume that this printer always broadcast a wireless signal.

    HP LaserJet p1102w

    Hi @paulri ,

I see by your post that you want to disable the wireless on the printer. I would like to help you today.

I believe that the steps that you have already done, turned off the wireless on the printer.

To power off the printer wireless. This information is provided by the manual on page 27. Laserjet P1102w.

    1. on the product control panel, press and hold the button wireless for more than 5 seconds.
    2. to confirm that the wireless device is turned off, print a configuration page and verify that the
product IP address is specified as 0.0.0.0 on the configuration page.

I'd love to help you set up the printer on the wireless network, if you want one more go home.

I just need to know what operating system are you on and if the printer software is fully installed by a USB connection and you are able to print this way. The name of the network cannot have special characters or symbols in order to connect to your network.

    Let me know.

    Thank you.

  • How to disable the SOS on Apple Watch 2 function

How to disable the SOS on Apple Watch 2 function?

    Hello

It is not currently possible to completely disable the SOS emergency feature.

However, to disable "hold to call auto":

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > emergency SOS - deactivate Hold to call self.
  • How to disable the feature CALL SOS?

I've just updated to iOS 10 and 3 watch OS, but I can't find how to disable the feature of emergency SOS on my Apple Watch.

I thought it would be a good feature for me so I turned it on, but my fingers are clumsy, so I struck the wrong cursor when I turned off my watch and accidentally, I called 911. I've disabled "Stick to Auto Call" and deleted all my contacts SOS in general in the application to watch on my iPhone and I restarted the iPhone and the Apple Watch, but emergency SOS still shows on my watch when I want to turn off my watch.

I think that before I turned emergency SOS, I saw "Power Reserve" under the "Power Off". I read that once you turn Hold for Auto call in the app shows and then turn off, the cursor of SOS emergency will always be displayed when you turn off the watch.

How can I disable the cursor of emergency SOS when I turn off my Apple Watch? Can I use Reset under general, or désapparier my watch and pair again? I don't want to do that, because it would take a lot of time to get all my settings that I want them to be.

    Hello

I'm not aware of any option settings to remove the emergency SOS cursor in the menu that appears on pressing them and holding the button.

If you want Apple to consider adding an option to disable the feature, you can submit a request here:
