  You must break your content between files and use the book feature to apply numbering to make look it seamless. Sometimes, if you can, re - organize the content so that all oversize pages come at the end of a chapter/file makes it easier to manage a such split files in the book.

  When you create a new page, you choose control facing Pages (two pages side by side) or not. Pages not connected to, you can use the Page tool to drag pages around the mount table.

• How can I automate the numbering of pages between different files?

  I use InDesign CS2

  to set up a magazine.  The magazine has about 50-60 ads in it, and each ad is in a separate file, until the magazine is assembled.  There is a guide at the end of the magazine that show the basic information in a format of grid on advertisers in the magazine.  The formatting for the grid is controlled with tab stops to reinvest as advertisers come and go from point to point. I need to add a new column to indicate which page the ad associated with the entry of the grid is on, but I can't find a way to automate it.  The only solution I have found so far is to copy the phone number of the advertiser and to find other bodies in the magazine once it is assembled.

  Is it possible to automate this task, remembering that these ads are all contained in separate files until the magazine is assembled? I find the help topics on the subject of indexes, hyperlinks, bookmarks, etc. to be very confusing and not very useful.

  It depends on how save you or receive outside ads. These days most advertisers submit PDF, but that you're creating ads to identity card and recording in native format. Personally, I save the original work in .indd for future editing, but export a copy in PDF format and the place to display ads. You can place the PDF file in different numbers as much as you like and there is no risk of leaving anything out when you copy and paste.

  It's not what I was picturing, so, no, I don't think that OCD would help a lot.  If you upgrade to CS4 you can probably use cross references that are now a native function. In CS2, you might be able to at least semi-automate paging using the cross-reference of sectors de Jong script: Script for referrals, including a tutorial on how to use it (updated April 10, 2006)

  I can't imagine an easy way to do it in any version, i.e. anything that doesn't require not to add some sort of marker to each announcement and perhaps update the table if things are moving (that part is not onereous - just run the script again). Maybe someone else has another idea.

  It would seem that, if your resolution is as high as 300 dpi, it you cannot scan multiple pages, must be because the file size would be too big... smart? or just annoying... not sure, but at least now I can do multiple pages...

  You can use the tool (Shift + P) page to adjust the dimensions of individual page. But you may have to re - organize the elements on this page.

  I have a series of books that make use of two styles of different page controlled by two masters. On occasion in the books, the two masters appear side by side in a spread. The two captains contain similar background graphics, but we have more margin than the other side.  In which case the side margin appears on the left-hand page, the shadow of a substantive element on the full page master appears on the page of larger margin. The actual object that is the shadow isn't here, but the shadow is. This only happens when the margin is left; the shadow does not appear when the masters are side by side in a spread and the wide margin is on the right.  See picture attached.

  

  Pages I can split the shadow disappears, but it gets to be a pain when the text is redéroule and I change pages autour.  No idea how I can keep this ghost effect to appear here, where it is not supposed to be?

  I should add that I am almost certain that they are in order to get a unique shadow rather than a shadow on each half, which straddles one form or the other.

  I don't know there is a solution for this other than make a second based on the first two pages master adjust only this margin and apply it on the two pages in the spread when necessary (or split the spread as you do now).

  As described in the question, I have two sources dbl from a load cell and linear actuator (from remote). I want to do a curve of load/displacement of the readings of the strength of the load cell and the readings of travel of the linear actuator. Load cell generates an analog signal that can be acquired by data acquisition and the actuator is delivered with a Board and a program of VI to control speed and measure the movement of the actuator at a sampling frequency of my choice. Is it possible that I can do a VI where he continues to collect data and build the chart I'm looking for?

  I think I see where the confusion is.  Looks like your trip data do not come directly from a sensor (LVDT, etc.), but from the control software.  If this is the case, you're stuck sort with a timing of software, that will not sync at all.  Still not really sure what the entire Setup is - but if you do not have access to data of travel other than VI control that drives the actuator, you have limited options.  It depends on where these data comes from and how it is treated.  My initial comment assumed medium of moving a sensor in another Board (Non-OR).

  You can absolutely use a shift register data (or the node property history given in the table of waveform - as someone else suggested) to save the data in the file.  Use the entry in the File.vi worksheet.  There are examples that show how to do this.

  I would start by trying to start the process (movement and data acquisition) as close to simultaneously as possible, let them operate independently, but at the same time, then after you have some data you can see if they are synchornized well enough for your application.  If you put them both in the same loop with while avoiding (wait ms) you will get incoherently timed data of these two sets of data.  Better to use examples of hardware when clock you can.  If your test article moves very slowly, it may not matter how you do it.  If it does not quickly move, will be discussed as your data of force tip line upward with your data points in moving closer in time.
