  All I had to do was to go to the website of Adobe Digital Edition on my computer where is was saved, but not installation and click on properties and uncheck the safety block button.  My system is Windows Vista, which is apparently the only system that causes this problem to the newest member of the download.

  It is worth noting that the language of the user interface has no influence on the language of the books that you can read.  You can read even English eBooks with Adobe Digital Edition set in another language.

  I have not had any problems with the Adobe Digital Editions software and download the books from the library until the beginning of March.  Now will not download books and the only change that I remember is a Windows Update?

  Have you tried the basics like clean temporary Internet files, Cookies, and browsing history in Internet Explorer?

  Have you tried to clean your Temp folder, you can do this by typing folder in the Start Menu RUN box.  This will open your Temp folder, there, you can remove all Windows will allow you to do.

  It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the mentioned location of Temp access (and remove) all the files hidden in there.

  OK, this is probably the problem.  You must have at least Service Pack 3 installed.  I would recommend you run the software update from start > all programs > Windows updates or visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.  I would recommend you not only to install at least Service Pack 3, but other recommended updates.  Once your system is up-to-date so feel free to try reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions 2.0.

  If you want long-term access make sure you register your copy of ADE (Digital Editions) with an explicit Adobe ID BEFORE you open the .acsm file in ADE.

  If you open the .acsm file in digital editions, it will create an .epub or .pdf file (DRM).

  It's already decided who will get you in the .acsm file; You can't choose.

  (Sometimes, there is a choice before you download the .acsm file; for example, our library usually gives the choice)

  Once you have the file you can not turn it because of DRM.

  Even if you have a .pdf DRM, you still need to ADE or similar to open it, again because of the DRM.

  If too much records is the reason why, it may be preferable to use the customer record.

  Do you have any other user accounts on the computer? If so, is there another account with higher privileges to user you can log in and check if your account privileges is set to administrator or limited user level?
