How to eject a disc

My wife just passed away and she was the person in the computer

the default setting is that burn and by ejecting themselves together in the order.

However, if you were able to burn, but the disc does not eject, then the default setting has been changed - which is ok, especially for the use of re-writable discs.    It is not a good idea to burn rewritable discs because the idea behind the re-writable discs must be able to write and read freely their.

in any case, to eject a disc, you can open windows Explorer.

then right-click on the cd or dvd drive, and there will be an option "eject" to select.

  • External drive of CD - a power of noises, ejection of discs

I have an external CD drive for my Mac. This has worked great until recently, when I put a disc, and it's a horrible cracking noise and made a few noises overwork/spinning, then ejected the disc. My iTunes/Mac has never identified that a drive has been put in. It was a CD of the library, so I thought that safety stickers were the cause, but it happens with all discs. • eject the disc from the drive USB Super

Last night I unboxed my new USB Super drive and attached to my MacBookPro. I put in a DVD of registered film and was able to start playing. Then I ejected it by clicking on the disc icon on the desktop, because I was just testing how it connected etc...  Then, I wanted to see if he could save.

I inserted a blank DVD and he asked me to tell him what to save, but I didn't save. Instead, he presented another option, which was to IGNORE.

So I clicked on IGNORE. As a result, there was NO ICON ON THE DESKTOP for this drive. And the text to EJECT in menu bar is grey.

Now I am sitting here with a new USB Super with a blank CD disk stuck in it and am totally IGNORED, I asked, but what I didn't know when I asked to ignore me.

That's the problem. I disconnected, signed back in, and he has not yet cleared my instructions to ignore. So I can't eject the blank DVD disc.

Where should I go from here?

My MacBookPro is the retina, i7, 15 '' running ElCapitan, a model community 2015, I think.  I'm not on it now, but will open it to follow the suggestions for help. I'm a new converted to Apple, computing, coming from Windows, so I need the regular basic directions. Any help is appreciated.

  • Ejecting the disc external hard Force required

    Hi-

I thought before that I had a solution to this problem, but obviously not.

Almost whenever I click on the icon next to my external hard drive backup disk, in the left pane of a window of Finder, place appears an alert...

The eject button Force works, so I have a workaround, but it seems unfair to have to use it.

Time Machine power down and restart my machine clears the problem for a while, but then it comes back after a few hours or a few days.

I tried to use 'lsof' Unix command in the Terminal, but haven't learned something from him.

    Any ideas?

    -Gil

FWIW, I tried to recreate your problem with a USB 3.0 external drive. Unfortunately, I had no problem ejecting the disc without turning off time Machine. It is perhaps a matter of Firewire, but I have no Firewire drive to test.

Something you might try is to reset the SMC or the NVRAM and see if that helps.

  • How to finalize a disc (CD - R and DVD +/-R) using Windows?

    Hello:

How to "finalize" a disc (CD - R and DVD +/-R) using Windows?

I want to finalize the disc... not simply close the session/disc.

What I read in the help Windows, "closing" allows me to write on the disc later.

Is this true, if the disc is just R, RW not?

I burned the JPEG images (.jpg files) on CD - R and DVD + R discs.

When I try to read them in my Sony CD/DVD player, it does not recognize the discs.

The Sony user manual said that records must be "finalized", not just "closed".

What do you mean with Windows?

I have treid finalize these discs with Roxio Creator Basic, but it does nothing, except eject discs.

Windows has always said that disks have free space, and the DVD player is unable to recognize them.

As I understand it, if the disc is finalized, will show him no available free space.  Is this correct?

Note: The discs work fine on my HP laptop which uses Vista 32 bit Home Premium.  I can see JPEG images.

    Thank you...

  • Cannot eject the disc while running Fusion

    Hi all

I have an external hard drive with a rarely used vmdk. If I have the mounted external drive, launch the merger and open my Boot Camp virtual machine partition, I can't eject the external hard drive until I stopped the machine virtual Boot Camp and the merger. I think this is new behavior with 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 because I used to be able to eject the external hard drive with Fusion, run the Boot Camp virtual machine. Can anyone confirm this one way or another, and how to escalate this bug/feature of VMware? Thank you.

    Kind regards

    David

This process works fine on my end.  I have a bunch of virtual machines on my external hard drive and when I insert a boot camp, I'm still able to eject the disc.  You could go to the Help menu merging and choose "Collect Support information" and then attach the file created in your answer.

Have you added anything as a secondary hard drive in your machine settings virtual boot camp?  Did you add the drive as a shared folder in your virtual machine?  Have you removed the virtual computer in your external hard drive of Fusion and tried it this way?  Have you plugged disk images to your machine virtual boot camp are stored on the external hard drive?

  • How, I, eject memory cards, suite, Mac, 21.5, inch, Mid, 2010?

How to eject cards memory on my iMac 21.5 inch, mid-2010.  Pull the tabs 'gently' does not work.  I currently have 2 x 2 giga Speicherkarten installed.  I want to delete and replace it with 4 x 4, according to the guidelines of support, this is allowed.  I have 4 new cards, but cannot get out them of 2 x 2 original.  Please help if you know how.

    Thank you!

It is normal to have pull pretty hard. You'll swear you're going to break something. Pull harder and be ready for that module stand suddenly (i.e. do not hurt you).

How to eject my iphone, or player card on my macbook air?  I don't want to disconnect and lose data...

You won't lose data when you remove an iPhone, unless you're in the middle of the backup or synchronization of the device.

If you see no activity in iTunes/Photos/etc... Then, it is safe to unplug.

With a card reader (SD card?) you do drag the desktop icon to the trash. It turns into an arrow when you drag an icon ejector.

Similarly, you can click Finder on the dock, then locate the reader on the left column and click on the "arrow" to the right of the device to eject it.
