How to explore my database of the MA on 12 c?

Dear,

It seems that there are no business manager more database.

Two options are ' enterprise manager express and enterprise manager cloud control.

I tried many things to access the database and the Explorer by opening the system and the list table. Then open the table of data display, but I failed. Any suggestions?

I want to use this web page instead of the report for the end user. He approved only in case he will be able to do.

The Enterprise Manager supplied with 12 c (now called EM Express as mentioned above) doesn't have all the capability that former control of database 11g and previous versions.

If you want a simple web tool that you can use to create a report that is simple and quick - take a look at the Apex. It is included with your database and easy to use.

    Hi all

I need help related to RMAN backup in the following scenario, my server-1 details are given below.

    * Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production

    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

AMT for 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production,

I have configured RMAN and level 0 and backup of level 1 with on the external HARD drive.

all the RMAN backup is located in this drive external HARD only, same archivelog.

    My question is,

How to create a database to Server-2 based on the RMAN backup I took in server-1.

It's to help me create a server test and even if the server-1 crash, then I can create a database in the new server-2 with backup I took on the external HARD drive.

Is it possible to achieve the same or not. Kindly suggest me or share a good Internet link or document and share your knowledge to achieve my need of stimulus.  This will really help me

It does not matter whether you use ASM. The link above should guide you on how to change the file names of data before restoring if the location of the data file on server 2 will be different from server 1.

  • A new question on how to enable Flashback Database on the database pending?

    Best practical side says:

Activate the Flashback Database on the database shall minimize downtime for logical corruption.

I would like to know where to find the document or everybody already had experience in this topic?

Also, I would like to know what is the best practice for backup/restore of the database of physical relief?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello;

Just an opinion, but I like the book 'Oracle Data Guard 11g Handbook' as the document and the answers to the second question.

Chapter 12 covers the A to Z of RMAN with Data Guard.

This book sold me since Flashback Flashback allows a former primary database to be reinstated after a failover with ongoing restoration operation (provided that enough newspaper flashback is available)

My own experience is I tried a test failover without it and trash my primary test.

I did a test of simple failover a few weeks ago, here are my notes.

  • How to close a database connection in the new browser

    Hi @ all,

with the new object browser, it is easy to connect to a database with the methods 'ConnectDataStore' or 'ConnectDataStoreByParameter '.

But how the connection can be closed?

In an AsamOds environment, it is important to close the connection, because a part of the environment (the so-called ORB) 'hiding' some data (in the ActiveObjectMap). This "cache" is cleaned by closing the connection. So, the problem is that without the ability to close a connection, the cache grow upward (and in how the Orb ist becomes unstable and crashes after a while).

    Thanks for reading

    Greetings from the Germany

    Contur

    Hi Contur,

the new ASAM-ODS API doesn't have an explicit close method. A store (and here the connection held by this store) will be automatically closed when all references to this store is closed - which translates into VBS to nothingness. The easiest thing is the store itself:

Dim myStore: set myStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStore ("ASAM pass fail analysis Example")

    Define myStore = Nothing

In the case your script any other helds refers to this store, for example the results of a query or a certain element, that you must set to nothing as well

Dim myStore: set myStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStore ("ASAM pass fail analysis Example")

protected myRootElements: set myRootElements = myStore.RootElements
    Set myRootElements = Nothing

    Define myStore = Nothing

  • How Windows Explorer can be configured to browse the folder hierarchy instead of behaving like a browser?

I work with files in a folder tree.  I want to browse this folder hierarchy, just as I did in the original copy of Windows Explorer in Windows XP.  I want to use the arrow keys to navigate up and down, and when I'm in a folder and click the previous button, I want it to go up one level in the folder hierarchy, just like he used to.

Now, when I hit the 'back' button, Windows Explorer behaves as a browserand goes to the last folder that I have read.

It's so frustrating!  She interrupts my thought process and the movement of my work.  If I wanted to use a browser, I use Internet Explorer.

How Windows Explorer can be configured to browse the folder hierarchy instead of behaving like a browser?  Remember the "unwebified" of Windows XP Windows Explorer version?  This is what I want so I can get back to work effectively.

Windows Explorer 7 does not have the up button like XP, however, in the address bar you can select the folder in the hierarchy (sometimes called the trail of bread crumbs) to return.

Windows 8 added the arrow pointing upwards.

How has taken this backup? Cold or hot (online)?

If online, then the backup is unrecoverable.

If offline then it is possible to get it back. You must know the database version and the platform of the source.

You need the version of the base to know which version ORACLE_HOME, you use, if you need to upgrade the database once restored.

You need the OS platform to see what type of endian is your data files, because that limits also what OS you can restore.

    Kind regards
