How to export a graph .ai in indesign comme.png/.jpg?

I searched for several hours, but I can't find the solution. I'm trying to write a script for an xml export. Now, in this export, I need to link the images in the current folder. The problem is, I can't use .ai. Is it possible to export these files .ai comme.png/.jpg via the script? If so, could you share a documentation on this?

Based on the UI for the Export XML dialog box, it seems you want to first set a XMLExportPreference to copy either optimized or formatted images and then choose and image type. Thus,.

objDoc.xmlExportPreferences.copyFormattedImages = true;

or

objDoc.xmlExportPreferences.copyOptimizedImages = true;

followed by

objDoc.xmlExportPreferences.imageConversion = ImageConversion.JPEG

or

objDoc.xmlExportPreferences.imageConversion = ImageConversion.PNG

This help page describes the difference between optimized and formatted images: InDesign help | XML export

That should help you get started.  You may need to play with more options to get the result you want, but that's the idea.

    This is .vi I used.

    Thanks for your post in our Discussion Forum,

    is it necessary to export the image to the .emf Format?

    If not, I can give you two options:

    The best way to make a screenshot of a certain area of the façade is of

    create a Subvi with all the items you want to take a screenshot of and

    Then take a screenshot of the entire façade of the Subvi.

    It works fine even if the front is not visible, while the photo is taken.

    The screenshot can be taken with a method node as in the example attached to this post.

    Another possibility is to reframe a screenshot of an entire façade to the region you are interested in.

    How this works is described here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/take-screenshot-of-part-of-front-panel/td-p/1613750

    The downside is that you must manually set the region that could change because of the scrolling or changes on the Panel.

    Anyone know how to export a PDF from InDesign is "click to go to the next page" instead of "scroll to go to the next page?

    I do not use the InDesign last, but in the past ID options for export to the format PDF did not define how a PDF should be considered once exported.  However, these settings can be adjusted in Acrobat via preferences: departure of layout and Zoom in the view of the Page.

    Yes. Thank you. I based on another post misled. Successfully done this by selecting 'File', 'save a copy... ". "then choosing"for CS4 or later (IDML).

    He had little patience and several tests, but I think it was because of hardware (memory) overloaded version CC cloud or something. It was a 50 MB, file of 500 pages and took 17 minutes to convert/save,

    Recap: dnuee to CS5, do not use "Export" (IDML); use ' Save as ' or 'Save a copy' and select "for CS4 or later (IDML).

    Advice much appreciated.

  • How to export the indesign file to coreldraw

    Hi all

    I had created a brochure that would be printed to a professional printer. There, they use Indesign. Instead, they use Corel Draw.

    How to export the indesign file created in corel draw.

    and printing

    @Dov, sorry. But there are places on Earth where the upgrade to a more modern workflow just will not happen either by choice, or more often, because of the money. I've dealt with a few printers to India use CD (beautiful dig to Corel, btw) or Illy. Just like that.

    @srikanth977, all printers I treated using an older workflow and equipment that use CD or Illy for output agreed a PDF file. In addition, each of them wanted to PDFX-1A a PDF file without crop marks, bars of color, etc.. So check with your printer. They then add these features when they print.

  • How to export a PDF file to make nonprinting objects show but don't print not AND hyperlinks on the top of the page work at the same time?

    Firstly - I work in InDesign CC 2015.

    My problem is, I had this 10 page document, which, on every page, shows an object that must be in PDF format - but do not print. I made this object into a button and unchecked "Printable". On top of this object, I made 10 hyperlinks (separate layer) that point to the page 1-10.

    When you export the document and I use the interactive PDF format , works ' show nonprinting object but do not print ' well, BUT hyperlinks don't. If I uncheck the "layer of nonprinting objects" in the file PDF, then hyperlinks work, but the problem now is that the nonprinting objects are invisible...

    When you export the document and I use a PDF to print the "unprintable object show but do not print" does not work BUT the hyperlinks don't...

    I put hyperlinks to post a link to pages and also tried the link to the anchor text. No difference.

    So my question is: How to export a PDF file to make nonprinting objects show but don't print not AND hyperlinks on the top of the page work at the same time?

    Thank you

    Mette from Denmark

    I swapped my links to the buttons - AND NOW IT WORKS; (o)

  • How to export a PDF file, including all borders?

    I am very new to InDesign.  I used only a handful of times and I am unfamiliar with the setting up of pages.  They gave me a file and I have to export it.

    The problem is that, when I export it to PDF, a small part of the image is cut on each page.  I have attached a picture showing this.

    The outermost red "border" does not export.  Only the 'border' black and everything inside the black border to the export.  I want to export everything, including the parts of the image included in the extreme border of red.

    It is only about. 125,"but it is up to the background area lost, and if it does not export, everything is too close to the edge.  Does anyone know how to export everything, including the extreme red border?  I'm sorry if this is obvious.  I am simply not knowledgeable still with the program.  Thank you very much in advance.

  • How to export a SWF from CS4 and make visible to the customers?

    I am currently using Indesign CS4 and learn how to export an animated as a SWF file.  Once exported, I have a SWF file and an HTML file, but when I send a file to a client, they do not open.  Question: How to format the file for the client watch one?

    Thank you

    You must send the customer, the two files, the html code is a 'wrapper' for the swf file.  Normally both would be hosted on a server in line together.

    Hello

    Find below the code, now it will not work on files open indesing.

        mySnippet();
    }

  • How to export with Transparent background

    I've created a logo in Freehand 10, and I need to export to EPS with a background transparent to be placed in an InDesign document. How to export the file with a transparent background?

    Thank you!
    -Elisha

    > Please excuse my lack of experience, but can you please explain what you mean
    > by "no image on the screen?

    In general the content of eps (encapsulated postscript) files cannot be considered with page layout programs and even. So a picture of the screen must be included for the investment. When the document is printed on a postscript printer or exported to pdf that the screen image is omitted and the postscript code is used. In this case it is not ' What you see is what you get ", but" what you get is what you see not ".". "

    In Windows, the screen image has always been an opaque bitmap image but in mac screen image can be "cut". In both platforms, however, the postscript output is the same, i.e. without background.

    > I tried export as Illustrator 7, but it was only a gray in box
    > InDesign. I'm waiting on approval to buy the upgrade to Illustrator CS3.

    I don't know if InDesign CS2 can display the contents of the eps, Mac and Windows files. I just tried export eps and Freehand and they have worked well in InDesign CS3 Windows.

    File eps without the screen image generally appear as white box and all images in grey if Disply Performance form quickly Disply in InDesign. In order to check the display settings InDesign.

    Also try to export eps with an image on the screen.

    If the logo is simple with just of contour objects, it can be copypasted in InDesign as well. In FreeHand "copy special" and select the Clipboard format.
