How to export bookmarks to Internet Explorer?

I want to export bookmarks from Firefox 6.0.1 to IE8. The second stage of the Firefox help to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Exporting%20data%20to%20Internet%20Explorer?s=export+bookmarks & as = s is a link "Organize bookmarks" that does not exist.

This page should be changed to "Show all bookmarks" instead of "Organize Favorites".

  • From Firefox 4, "organize bookmarks" has been renamed "show all bookmarks".

This section has been amended to reflect how to export bookmarks to an HTML file: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Exporting%20bookmarks%20to%20an%20HTML%20file

You can usually find the Favorites IE imported into a folder ("Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the file Menu bookmarks or Favorites bar folder (bookmarks > show all bookmarks).

If there are problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you don't have the menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then right-click on the toolbar above to activate the menu bar.

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:

  • How you import your favorites/bookmarks to Internet Explorer in Firefox?

I have a certain Favorites I want to import into Firefox, Internet Explorer, and I don't know how to do that / even if you can do it.

    In Internet Explorer:

File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file

    then in Firefox:

Bookmarks > organize bookmarks-> import and backup - import HTML... = HTML file

There are other ways to do it, but it will merge these favorites of IE with your Firefox bookmarks.

  • Backup Windows corrupted bookmarks to Internet Explorer!

Can someone help with this problem? I am running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 on my HP Pavilion.   I recently performed a backup on an external hard drive (WD Passport) by using Windows backup - it seemed to go OK, but when I open the Internet Explorer browser, 702 favorites were gone!  Worse yet, I can't even create a new favorite with 'Add to Favorites' more.

I know that the files are still there as I see the computer C:\Users\Helen\Favorites in but for some reason any IE8 has ceased to recognize their (and stopped allowing me to create new ones).

Ironically, if I open Firefox, it picked the IE8 Favorites!

It's really annoying - someone has any suggestions how to fix it?  I even tried looking in the registry (as advised on a forum of Microsoft), but the path of the shell for Favorites folders seems to be OK (C:\Users\Helen\Favorites)

I googled all kinds of sites but impossible to find a solution - HELP!

Hello PurpleHelen, you can try using a restore point Windows at a time before problems appear.

If this does not resolve the problem, you could try to export your FireFox bookmarks to a location on your hard drive and then open Internet Explorer and try to import these exports FireFox favorites.

    Just something to try.

  • How to export bookmarks in 17

I use Firefox 17.0.1. How do I export my favorites from one computer to another?

    Thank you. Jim B.

Thanks for the help. I had a bunch of bookmarks that I have collected over a period of time on my desk. I recently acquired a new laptop and wanted to copy on it. What I've done below worked perfectly.

To copy bookmarks to another computer

    1. Install a flash player in computer #1
    2. In the menu bar, open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > export bookmarks as HTML.
    3. In the window that opens, scroll down to the flash player, then press on < record >
    4. Install flash player in computer #2.
    5. Repeat step 2 in the computer #2 except hit import bookmarks to HTML.
    6. Scroll down to the flash player and highlight [bookmarks. HTML] and click Open.
    7. Bookmarks must be imported at this point.

All instructions and links I found were a little wordy, confusing and does a not address this issue directly.

I thank once again. Jim B.

  • How to constantly optimize the Internet Explorer window in Windows 7?

This problem exists wince at the beginning of humanity, or so it seems. How does one ensure that browser windows will be always maximized, without the constant need to test an error in resizing, and they will remain so unless I manually size a window to a size less than the maximum value?

In short, finally, fortunately, do we have a "Keep the browser always maximized windows" option available to us?

Is it possible to finally be free of having to move on the edge of a window of browser on one side of the screen or the other, the same with the bottom of the window and then having to close, reopen, resize, and repeat, until finally "gets it", the user wishes to what Windows Windows to open in larger format?

To go a step further, it often seems that if open windows in different sizes depending on what is causing the window to open, for example: 1) by clicking the Internet Explorer icon on the Quick Launch toolbar. (2) by clicking on a link of e-mail; (3) a right click on a link while reading a given an internet/URL of the page and selecting the "open in a new window" option. (4) etc, etc, etc.

Thank you very much in advance!

You need not do any voodo.  Just right-click on the icon that you use to open your browser and go to properties.  There is an option "maximized/minimized/normal" in there, just choose what you want.

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

  • How can I fix my Internet Explorer file? for window 8

I'm having a problem with internet explore-10 with windows 8.

    How can I fix it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience caused to you and I will definitely help you.

If you use the version of the Internet Explorer application, simply right click and uninstall and reinstall it should correct the problem.

    1. If you use the desktop version, click the gear icon at the top right and select Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab.
    3. In the reset Internet Explorer Section, click the Reset button to restore your browser to the original state.
    4. If this does not help, you can reinstall Internet Explorer 10, too.

If this does not help, reply to this message.

I was at Microsoft, Adobe, and I get the same thing at all. Is there a way to get my flash drive to work and if so, how.

I think it would be simple just update my flash drive, but for the last four days I tried without success.

I'm going round in circles and nowhere. I need to have someone tell me if this problem is with my computer or another source.

    Hello

From Windows 8, Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer and all updates are distributed by Microsoft, no Adobe.

In addition to checking that Flash Player is enabled, please ensure that the ActiveX filtering is disabled, see difficulty ActiveX in Flash Player in Internet Explorer issues.

Today is patch Tuesday, which means that Microsoft will come out all sorts of updates, including an update to Flash Player for IE.  I don't know when they're going to live, because the update has not yet posted to Microsoft Security Advisory 2755801.  You can check this page later today, or run Windows Update later today or tomorrow to install updates.
